Good morning! Hope you all have had a wonderful week!

Got a little sneak peek of a new stamp coming out Feb 1st from Our Daily Bread designs!

Sheet music to the beautiful old hymn, It Is Well With My Soul!

I wanted to try the Belleek technique that I enjoyed so much earlier this week! I inked up my Cuttlebug Textile Texture folder with pink ink and then sponged off a little of it to help make it more muted. Once I ran it through my bug, it was still a little too pink. So, I went about trying to tone down the piece by painting it with white acrylic paint using a very light touch. Then I also painted it with Marshmallow Glimmer Mist. And then I even sprayed it with Pearl Glimmer Mist! I finally had the shade and look I was going for.

So then I did the same applications to each die cut. I've used the Cheery Lynn Designs Fanciful Flourish, Spellbinders Squares, Fleur de Lis Squares, Blossoms Tags and Accents and the angel wings are from an old Spellbinders ATC die set. The heart is made of wood and is also painted. I stamped the music on the back ground of the card, stamping if off first on scrap paper and then also did the same painting technique to this piece. You should have seen my hands! After it had all dried, I put everything together, and added the little silver bow and tiny pearls.

Here is a little tip: I got a little too much paint on the sentiment tag, which covered up the song title too much. So I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp it again which helped a lot! What a wonderful tool!!!

I colored this beautiful new image from Our Daily Bread designs called Birthday Blessings with copics. The card stock is vanilla. The Cheery Lynn Designs Flourish is cut into several pieces to fit my design. The tiny flowers are cut from a Cuttlebug die. I added pearls to complete the card!!!

Here is another card I want to share with you today:

This card uses the same image as the above card (Birthday Blessings) and is also colored with copic markers. It is framed with Spellbinders die cuts and place on a background that is embossed with a SU! embossing folder. I made the lace bow my Bow Easy and added a tiny button laced with crochet thread. I colored the button with a copic marker to get a match to the image!

Christmas Card Challenge 2012

Good morning!

I joined the Christmas Card Challenge on Splitcoast again this year,

committing to 5-10 cards per month. I made 6! Great start!!!

This set is just so cute! It's from Our Daily Bread designs and is called Warm Wishes! I colored the images with copic markers, some less than other. Stamped the sentiment at the bottom right but am wishing I would have centered it instead. Oh well...!

The last thing I did was add Stickles here and there! Love that stuff!!!

Belleek Inspired

Hey y'all!

What a fun challenge on SCS today! The Belleek Pottery inspiration is amazingly beautiful! So much beauty has been created so far for this challenge!!! Here is my take. I used the Cuttlebug Textile Texture embossing folder with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink for the background. I sandwiched this piece between a frame made with two square Spellbinders and the Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Square. The flourish is Cheery Lynn Designs and the tiny flowers are from a Cuttlebug die plate. The butterfly is made from the Our Daily Bread designs 2-Step Butterfly and coordinating Butterfly die. Just added pearls and a lace bow and then a few sprays of Pearl Glimmer Mist to complete the card! This is also for the dry embossing challenge on the Cheery Lynn Designs Blog!

I've used the three new sets on this card, God's Love, Never Give Up, and 2-Step Butterfly with the coordinating die, all from Our Daily Bread designs. I embossed the images with white embossing powder and stamped the sentiment over the image with Stazon Black ink. I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to get the placement of the sentiment straight. That's it! Another CAS card from me!!!

Never Stop Going!

Good morning! Got another grunge card for you!! Lovin' these cool new sets from Our Daily Bread designs! This set is called Never Give Up. There is a coordinating die, sold separately, that will cut out the cross for you so nicely!!! For this card I stamped one of the sentiments on the designer paper in the background to mimic graffiti. I really distressed this one to death! Scraping, sponging, dragging the ink pad, tearing, etc. Then I added the cross popping it up on foam tape. Then the lace and netting material and a pretty little cross charm were added. Fun getting your hands all inky making a card!!!

Never Never Never Give Up!

Good morning friends!

This is my first time posting with the Passionately Artistic Team

since last year when my Father in Law got sick. It's nice to be back and I appreciate

Maggie and the team being patient with me while I got my ducks in a row!

I decided to make a little inspirational art book! I had some white thin foam board that was already cut to this size (which is about 3in by 7in) and I have been wondering what to do with it. First I sprayed the front and back of each piece with Glimmer Mist in a blue and a green color. Then, I inked the edges and sponged more ink on the fronts and backs. Next, I heat embossed them on both sides with clear embossing powder. I stamped the images and sentiments/scriptures from several

Our Daily Bread designs stamp sets and stamped three butterflies too.

I cut each butterfly out with the coordinating ODBD die for the 2 step butterfly set and sponged the edges. I placed the butterflies over the grunge butterfly images. After putting the little book together with my Bind-it-all, I began decorating each page. I added sparkly rhinestone swirl pieces, some wadded up tulle using Beacon 3-in-1 glue, and then stickles to each butterfly.

The ODBD stamp sets I used are all newly released this month!

Now here is my first card!

This card was made using the beautiful new Birthday Blessings set! I stamped the image twice. I cut out one using the Out of the Box Nestie technique that my DT sister Julie taught me. You can see her tutorial HERE. I colored the teacup and saucer with copic markers and cut it out and popped it up over the original image. I stamped the image again onto the same designer paper as the background and paper pieced the tablecloth. The SU! designer paper is embossed with an SU! embossing folder.

I stamped the sentiment and masked off the verse to make the little tag to tie on at the end of the pearls and lace. I punched lots of Martha Stewart flowers from the same designer paper and colored them darker with a copic marker before placing them on the card. To finish the card I put little dots in the flower centers with a white paint pen and then sprayed the card with Marshmallow Glimmer Mist!

I hope you don't mind but I have another card to show you using one of the really cool grunge sets!!! I love these grunge sets!! So great for teens or for masculine cards or anyone for that matter!

I stamped the butterfly image from the God's Love set all over the designer paper and hand wrote some of the verses from the set to mimic graffiti. I tore strips of the same K & Co designer paper, glued them here and there before running the whole piece through my Cuttlebug with the cuttlebug folder (the name of which escapes me at the moment!). I sponged the back ground with Tim Holtz distress ink too. Then I stamped the main image on another piece of the same designer paper, heat embossed it with black embossing powder and cut it out with the Spellbinders Labels 18. I sponged the edges before adhering with foam tape. Then I attached the cross charm with a paper clip and added the brads.

CAS and Faux Letterpress

Good morning!!! Happy Monday!

Here is a CAS card from me! So hard not to add more and more! haha!

The Stampin's Sisters in Christ challenge this week is to feature and angel on your project! I used the Angel set from Our Daily Bread designs along with the new Holiday Ornaments 2 set which was designed by our very own Dawn Lusk! The background behind the frame is embossed with a Sizzix folder. I cut the frame with a Spellbinders Labels One. I stamped the Angel in Bordering Blue ink and cut her out. The ornaments were stamped in the same color and cut out with the Spellbinders Holiday Tags dies. On the middle ornament, I cut out the center with a Spellbinders Oval and stamped the sentiment. I put the card together, adding the silver cording and tucked the ends behind the background and then added the two layers onto my card base.

The ornaments are all popped up on foam tape, the angel is popped up with two layers of foam tape. Next I sprayed the whole card with Marshmallow Glimmer Mist. Then I added Stickles to the ornaments. The last thing I did was add Glossy Accents to the center oval of the middle ornament and let it dry overnight. There ya go! A little bit of CAS! haha!

Next I have a card I made using the Faux Letterpress technique from last week's

Ways to Use It challenge.

Inking up the Cuttlebug folder before embossing is such a cool effect! This new image is also from ODBD called The Word of God. I colored it with copics, creating a 'table' scene. I cut the image out with a Spellbinders Labels Seven. Added the lace and ribbon and pearls and then tucked a frame around the top portion of the image with a larger Labels 7. The card stock is Bashful Blue and the ink is Bordering Blue.

Sweet and Simple Things

Happy Saturday y'all!!! I've got a card to share with you using one of the new releases from ODBD! It's called Simple Things and there is a coordinating Clover die to cut out the image! How cool is that?! I colored the image with copic markers trying to achieve a sort of muted vintage look. The SU! designer paper in the background is embossed with one of the Cuttlebug Preserves folders. The sentiment and bee are stamped on a Spellbinders Labels Four that I had on my desk discarded from a previous project. I cut one end of it off to tuck behind the lace and seam binding. I made the bow with my Bow Easy. I added the pearl swirls to complete the card!!!

I used the lovely new Daisies set! Daisies are my most favorite flower! I colored the image with copic markers and used the Spellbinders Square to cut them out. The white background is embossed with the ODBD Vintage Border embossing plate. Then I added the Fanciful Flourish Die cut from Cheery Lynn Designs along the side. I attached my Bow Easy bow and then added the pearl and the buttons. The last thing I did was add the white dots with a white paint pen!

I made this card for the Shining the Light challenge on the Our Daily Bread designs blog! The challenge is 'Baubles, Bells or Anything Hanging'. This gorgeous ornament is from the new ODBD set called Ornaments 2. This set was designed to coordinate with the Spellbinders 2011 Heirloom Ornaments Dies. I stamped the ornament, cut it out and added Stickles to the design. I also cut out the sentiment with another Spellbinders die and tied it on with a pretty lace bow. I added some beads to hang down over the ornament with silver cording. The ornement is placed over a layer of white that is embossed with the Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Square. I added little green Zva pearls and sprayed the card with Marshmallow Glimmer Mist to complete the card! Voila! Another card done! See you again soon!!!

The sentiment is from one of this month's new sets by Our Daily Bread designs called Sacred Season. I cut it out with a Spellbinders Labels Four. I don't have a clue who the maker of the designer paper is but it's pretty! It already has a shimmer to it and I embossed it with a Cuttlebug folder for extra texture. The cut out behind the pink pearls and the white leaves are canvas cut outs that are sprayed with several shades of Glimmer Mists. Well, the leaves are sprayed with Marshmallow and Dazzling Diamonds so not much color on those. The flower is by Prima. I wound gold cording around pink tulle and then attached the bow. I started with the pretty papers from Memory Box. They are attached to the card base and the corners are rounded at the top. The beautiful ornament is from a new set from Our Daily Bread designs called Ornaments 2, which coordinates with the Spellbinders 2011 Heirloom Ornaments dies! I stamped it and cut it out and then covered it with Glossy Accents. When this dried, I tried to straighten it out and the ornament cracked! Oh well, who doesn't have at least one cracked ornament on their tree? LOL!!! I trimmed the card with scalloped muslin ribbon, seam binding, and pearls. I stamped the sentiment onto the muslin with the help of my Stamp-a-ma-jig. The last thing I did was spray the whole card with Marshmallow Glimmer Mist!

Hi there! Here is another card I made with one of the new sets released for November from Our Daily Bread designs called Warm Wishes! Such a cute little snowman scene! And look at that cool window! It's a custom Spellbinders die for ODBD! The possibilities are endless with this die! I stamped the snowman scene with brown ink and layered the window over it. This is layered over another sheet of white card stock that is embossed with a Cuttlebug folder. Then I added stickles for snow, pearl swirls and a pretty Bow Easy bow! Hope you had a great Monday! I used the lovely new set called Sacred Season. I colored the pine cone with copic markers in brown tones and cut it out. I covered it with Diamond Glaze and then covered the snow with stickles and set it aside to dry overnight. The background designer paper is StampinUp!. I stamped the sentiment and framed and it with the Spellbinders ODBD custom Elegant Ovals die. I glued down lace and ribbon and a pretty Bow Easy bow in a slant across the frame. I added a pretty Zva pearl flourish then the little pine cone and then sprayed the card with Marshmallow Glimmer Mist!

Full Speed Ahead to Christmas!!!

Hi everyone!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

I was able to get a tone of stuff accomplished so am feeling better about things!

I have a few more cards to share using the new sets from Our Daily Bread designs. The one above is all in white. I used the Christmas Door set and the Snowflake die that coordinates with the Peace and Joy set. The background is embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder. I added the Spellbinders/ODBD custom die Elegant Oval for the frame and Spellbinders Lace die that I can't remember the name of and can't find it on the website! Anyway, I added some gorgeous white ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon. I made the bow with my Bow Easy tool. I added touches of Polar White Flower Soft and then sprayed the card with Marshmallow Glimmer Mist.

These two are pretty much the same except for colors and ornament. I used the new Holiday Ornaments set which coordinates with Spellbinders Holiday Tags dies. The ribbon is dyed to match the card stock. The backgrounds are embossed with a Cuttlebug folder. I used a Stamp-a-ma-jig for the placement of the sentiment. And I used a square Spellbinders die to emboss the frame. A little bit of bling and a spritz of Glimmer Mist and that is it!

Terra Cotta Christmas

Hi there! Here is a card I made for the ODBD Shining the Light challenge to make a holiday card using an ODBD stamp and for the Midnight Madness sketch #126! This image is a new one from Our Daily Bread designs called Christmas Tree Collage. I stamped it with ODBD Terra Cotta ink and cut it into a square from the larger image. I used a versa-mark pad to ink up the whole square and then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. I layered the square over a Spellbinders Fleur de Lis die cut. I attached this to a sheet that is embossed with a Cuttlebug folder (can't remember which one at the moment!), and then to SU! Ruby Red and then the card base.

I added lace and ribbon that is dyed with Terra Cotta ink. I made the bow with my Bow Easy. And have I mentioned lately how much I love my Scotch ATG Tape Glider!!! This is really the best adhesive I have ever used! I found the star in some things I forgot I had and it matches perfectly! LOL!! I added stickles to the star and snowballs to the tree. Hi there! A quick post to show you this card I made a few weeks ago! I colored the rose from the Our Daily Bread set called Christmas Rose, with copics and cut it out, then glued it down to the ODBD custom die, Elegant Ovals, from Spellbinders. The background paper is embossed with a Cuttlebug folder and inked to highlight the embossing.

Sneaking in Creating Time

Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts and kind words as I transition into this next phase of my life.

I feel so blessed to be able to spend time with you all through blog land! If you missed out on what is going on, here is a link to the post explaining things.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you!

I snuck in a little time this morning to make this card! Packing up to move is not so much fun. I may be procrastinating, I'm not sure! LOL!! This beautiful new ODBD set, Christmas Door, has been calling my name for weeks now and I couldn't put it off a minute longer! I have a black door on my house now and I wanted to color this image to match! I colored it with copics and added Stickles for a little sparkle on the garland and wreath. I cut out the sentiment with a Spellbinders Labels 7 die and distressed the corners. The SU! designer paper is embossed with a Cuttlebug folder and inked with SU! Riding Hood Red to highlight the raised areas. I added lace and ribbon, a Bow Easy bow, and some snowballs. Then I sprayed the whole card with Marshmallow Glimmer Mist. The card stocks are white and SU! Gray. I followed the Dirty Dozen sketch on SCS for this month for my design!

I made this card a couple of weeks ago. This new ODBD set, Christmas Ornaments, was created to coordinate with Spellbinders Holiday Tags dies! I heat embossed the image in silver and colored in the design with Soft Sky ink. The blue paper is from Archiver's and matches nicely with Soft Sky. The embossing is done with a Sizzix folder and I used Stickles on the swirls and along the edges of the ornament. The silver cord is tucked between the layers. The sentiment is heat embossed too and I sprayed the whole card with Marshmallow Glimmer Mist!

Hi there! Please forgive me for being missing in action lately. I have had tons of things going on lately! My sweet father in law passed away Monday, after a very long 6 weeks in the hospital. He is now in the arms of Jesus and the pain is all gone! In the last 6 weeks or so, we have been going back and forth from our house to my in laws house, taking turns with our daughter staying with my mother in law. I have now retired from my job and my hubby and I will be moving in with her! She is a blessing to me and I look forward to spending time with her and caring for her. She has Alzheimer's and battles diabetes as well. I know this will be a tough journey in so many ways but God will see us through! I had made a few cards a few weeks ago in preparation for not having time to create the next few weeks.

(I hope to sneak in a little creating time though! LOL!)

This card features a gorgeous new ODBD set called Christmas Tree Collage. After stamping with brown Memento ink, I colored in areas with copic markers. I sponged with Antique Linen ink, added Stickles for a little sparkle and then sprayed it with Suede Glimmer Mist. I added lace and then seam binding that I dyed with Suede Glimmer Mist. The bow was made with my Bow Easy and I added a pretty matching blue button and silver cording. The card stocks are White, Creamy Caramel and one of the SU! blues, not sure which one. The Creamy Caramel layer is distressed along the edges too!

Here are my card details:

I have used the gorgeous new Christmas Rose set! While searching for color inspiration for my rose, I found one in a beautiful white. I really wanted to get a more white shade but I am afraid it turned a little more yellow than I intended! I am going with Antique White! LOL!!! I used copic markers to color the image and the background. I cut out the Spellbinders Oval and then the Spellbinders Lacey Oval for a frame. This is layered over a piece of Memory Box designer paper that is embossed with the Cuttlebug folder from the Preserves collection. I inked up the embossing with distress ink. I added SU! seam binding, the little sparkly snowballs and the Christmas Rose Spellbinders Tag. I made the bow with my Bow Easy and I sprayed the whole card with Marshmallow Glimmer Mist. I used white and Kraft card stocks.

Hello everyone! Here is a peek at one of the new sets being released on Oct 1st from Our Daily Bread designs! This single stamp set is called Joy Tree and is perfect for quick simple cards! This set of six cards also meets my Christmas Card Challenge with SCS for the month of September! I challenged myself to make 5-10 Christmas cards each month and so far I have met my goal! WooHoo! Each tree is heat embossed with white embossing powder. The poinsettia embossed back ground is done with a StampinUp! embossing folder. One card has the Spellbinders lattice die cut and two cards have punched borders. All cards are decorated with silver rhinestones, buttons or ribbon. Hi there! Happy Saturday night to you! I experimented with border punches for this card. After coveting some of the new Spellbinders border dies and reminding myself for the umpteenth time that now is not the time to spend more money, I made do with my punches!! I've got three layers of card stock layered together here with a different punched border on each. There is one layer of K&Co designer paper which is embossed with the Vintage Border embossing plate from Our Daily Bread designs.

The sentiment is from the new Garden Tag set. I stamped it and cut it out with the Elegant Ovals die and framed it with a Labels 4 die cut. The label is popped up with foam tape. Then I cut out a strip with the Crochet Border Die and added it upside down behind the vintage lace and ribbon and flower! I added a few pearls on the border to complete the card!

Pumpkins and Tags

Hi! Hope you are having a great week so far! Don't you love the Fall? It is my favorite time of the year! There is such a clean crispness to the air! And the earthy colors of fall are so gorgeous!!! For the Shining the Light Challenge on the Our Daily Bread designs Blog this week, the challenge is Fall! The pumpkins you see are cut out with my x-acto knife from a larger sheet of designer paper, layered over a piece of embossed vellum and then to card stock. This created a nice little pocket for my tags!

I used three of this months ODBD new releases, Garden Tag Set, The Good Seed, and Seed Packet. The tags were cut out with the ODBD custom tag die!

I love Flower Soft!

I am not very skilled at applying it however. I tend to put way too much! LOL! Here I have used the Flower Soft Lavender Papercraft Kit along with the new set from Our Daily Bread designs called The Good Seed. I cut out the ovals with the coordinating Spellbinders Ovals, added the Flower Soft and cut out the butterflies to attach. The ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon. The bow is made with a Bow Easy tool. I added a little snip of lace and then the button and pearls. I colored the button and pearls with a copic marker to get the pale green color. The embossing folder I used for the background is from the Cuttlebug Preserves set.

Friendship Brings Joy

Hi y'all! I have a card to show you tonight using a new set from Our Daily Bread designs called The Good Seed. I stamped the image with Soft Sky re-inker since I don't have the ink pad for this SU! color! I always like the watercolor-y effect when using this technique. And it matches nicely with the Anna Griffin paper in the background. On each side of the background paper I punched the lace edges and added vintage rick-rack. I layered this over a sheet of paper that is embossed with the Vintage Border Embossing plate and layered this over another sheet that is distressed on the edges and adhered to the base card. I cut out the main image with a Spellbinders Oval and added it to the Spellbinders Scallop Oval. The sentiment is stamped on another Spellbinders Oval and attached to a Spellbinders Fancy Tag. I added some SU! punched flowers that were on my desk, the ribbon and button, the SU! rhinestones and finally, Zva pearls that were colored with a copic marker in yellow to match. Most of the paper edges were distressed with ink too for a shabby look!

Hi everyone! I have a card to show you tonight that uses the new Pumpkin Set from Our Daily Bread designs! This is such a great image and goes so nicely with all the other garden sets that came out this month! I didn't use it on this card but the pumpkin image has a custom die too!!! WooHoo!!! I am playing in two challenges with this card:

CAS133-Kraft and bright colors

ODBDSLC75-Dots or stripes

I stamped the image twice and colored with copics. I cut the leaves from one colored image and popped them up over the other image. I did the out of the box technique so that the leaf would hang down from the Spellbinders Square cut. The striped background is a sheet of Kraft designer paper from StampinUp! No ribbon, no stuff, just pumpkin! LOL!!! Lots of layers but still CAS for me!!

I used the Seed Packet set to create my little project!

This was super easy to make! Cut your 8 1/2 x 11 card stock in half longways. Score at 5 1/4, 5 1/2, and 5 3/4. I stamped the seed packet frame and the coordinating sentiments. Then I used a Spellbinders Oval to cut out the center of the frame. I filled a plastic zip-lock baggie that I use for Artist Trading Cards with some Arnold Grummer's PaperMaking Angel Wings. I never get out my paper making paraphernalia anymore so this is my way of using things I have on hand but have never used!

But you could fill with candy or sunflower seeds or just about anything!

Then it was just a matter of folding along the score lines, stapling at the top, making sure to staple the baggie inside too. Then I made a little bow with my Bow Easy and glued it down to hide the staple!!! A quick, simple gift for someone or even a party favor!!!

Christmas Card Challenge-August

Second post of the day! Six more cards for the Christmas Card Challenge on SCS! WooHoo! Just realized that you can't see the other cards in my photo but I promise

there are two more of each design behind the two that you see!! I seriously love these Sepia Card Toppers from Flower Soft! I colored them with copic markers, stamped the sentiment from the Mistletoe Tag Set on three of the toppers, and added Polar White Flower Soft! I made the bows with my Bow Easy and glued them down. The background is a Sizzix embossing folder.

The final addition was a few sprays of Marshmallow Glimmer Mist!!!

Caregiver

Good morning! Just a quick post this morning! Hope to have another post later today but we'll see. I have learned so many things these last couple of weeks. Let's just say I have a new healthy respect for the caregivers of the world. Not that I didn't before but there are so many things that I had never thought about. I will share more details at a later time but for now, it's just one day at a time, Sweet Jesus! I keep singing that song over and over! And look at this sweet little caregiver on my card! Mama bird works hard all day long caring for those precious little ones! This is another in the series of cards I created using a Crafty Secrets Cotton Scraps sheet. I recently found out from a friend that these are no longer available and that makes me so sad, as I only purchased the one sheet a while back! And isn't that heart trim so adorable?!! Too bad that is the only little piece I had! The background is K&Co. I rounded the top corners and added vintage lace and ric-rac. Then I added the seam binding, bow, pearls and little flower, and some glimmer mist to finish the card! September is Sneaking Up On Us!!!

Hi there! Hope you have had a great day! I have a little sneak peek at two of the new ODBD sets being released on the first! I stamped the image several times, colored with copic markers and cut out the gardening glove, seed packet and shovel so I could layer those pieces over the other colored image. The scripture is cut out with Spellbinders Ovals. The background was done by embossing the white paper with the ODBD Butterfly embossing plate and then stamping the raised areas with the ODBD Brocade Background.

Good morning! I have another card to show you using two of this month's new releases from ODBD called Spool & Tape and Sewn With Love! After coloring the image, I cut it out with the coordinating Spool & Tape Die. I layered this over a Cheery Lynn French Pastry Doily that is framing the scripture that is stamped onto Spellbinders Circles. I laced some ribbon through the doily, tied a bow and added two buttons. The background designer paper is embossed with the Vintage Border Embossing plate and inked with Antique Linen distress ink. Finally I sprayed it a couple of times with Gold Glimmer Mist!

I just love this Flower Soft Lavender Papercraft Kit! It is designed to coordinate with several Spellbinders Dies and really makes a beautiful card! For my card, I used one of the scriptures from the newly released Scripture Series 2 set from Our Daily Bread designs. I added touches of Flower Soft Lilac to the image surrounding the scripture. The background layer is embossed with the ODBD Vintage Border Embossing Plate and then distressed along the edges with a distressing tool. I pleated the ribbon by folding and gluing it down over the lace strip. I made the bows with my Bow Easy tool and glued them down. I died the smaller ribbon with a copic marker to match the colors in the Lavender Papercraft Kit. Then I just added the cut out butterflies, the button and the pearls to complete the card!!! Oh yeah, I also sprayed it a couple of times with Marshmallow Glimmer Mist! That's it!!

Hi all! I have a card to show you using the new Sew Special set from ODBD! I just love this nostalgic image with the old quilt draped over the rocking chair! I colored it with copic markers and used the coordinating Rocking Chair die to cut it out. I used today's Shining the Light sketch challenge on the ODBD blog. I added lots of green Zva pearls. I pleated the seam binding over the lace and then added vintage ric-rac. I made the bow with my Bow Easy and added a pretty button. I also sprayed the card with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist. I can't remember the manufacturer of the designer paper, forgive me.

I also have this one I made using a scripture from the new 2011 Customer Favorites Scripture Series 2 set and Scrolly Borders. I used Spellbinders dies to create the frame. The designer paper is SU! and is embossed with a Cuttlebug folder. The lace is from my stash and I added a button and some pearls. I sprayed Dazzling Diamond Glimmer Mist to complete this card!

I decided to make a little book using all six of the scriptures from the new set! I tried to be organized while creating this but here is a little hint for you! DO NOT bind the book pages until AFTER you have finished stamping the pages! I thought I was doing right by binding first but that gave me limited freedom of stamping more of the Scrolly Borders! I intended to use those more! I did manage to get one on the first page but I had to hide where some of the stamp didn't show with a flower! LOL!! After gluing the designer paper to the chipboard pages, I painted the backs and around the front edges with acrylic paint and then I used my Bind-it-All to bind the pages before decorating. I also dirtied the pages up with distress ink.

Then it was just a matter of adding snips of this and bits of that to complete the little book!!!

School started back up in my area this week!! Shortest summer ever, which makes me so glad my children are all grown up! This is what I came up with! This little image from StampinUp! is so cute! I colored it with copic markers and cut it out with a Spellbinders Labels One Small die. I cut another Spellbinders Labels One for the mat. I used a copic to run around the edge of the smaller die cut. The background is a sheet of Memory Box paper that has letters on it. I ran it through my Cuttlebug with the Numbers folder and attached it to the card base. I made a border with the Cuttlebug ruler border and added it to the card. Added the image with foam tape and then glued the ribbon and Bow Easy bow down with Beacon 3-in-1 glue. I didn't have red pearls, so I used a red copic marker and colored them! And that is it!!!

Three New Cards

I have been a busy girl this week! I completed all of the challenges presented for Dare to Get Dirty 2011! WooHoo!! If you would like to see the other ones, here is a link to my SCS gallery.

For this card I used the new sets Weave in Faith and Spool and Tape along with the Spool and Tape Die from Our Daily Bread designs. I also used the Cheery Lynn Designs French Pastry Doily Die. One little note, I died the white string in the button with a copic marker to make it pink!

This is a one layer card with a matching envelope! I embossed with Spellbinders Labels 18 dies around the Flower Border and the sentiment from Weave in Faith. I used the Spool and Tape set too but cut out the spool of thread only. I added a little border of flowers at the bottom by cutting each little blossom out by hand! I colored in polka dots with a sharpie marker.

This card features the new Pincushion and Sewn with Love sets. Did a little bit of hand stitching on the top left. I added a little silver paint to the thimble. I love that this little pincushion has it's own little pincushion die too!!!

Times of Refreshing....

Hi there! Back again with another project!

Recently, while visiting Pinterest, I found a photo of some fans that were made for wedding favors. The original idea was from Martha Stewart and I knew I had to try this out for myself!

I found the wooden handles at Hobby Lobby. They were not too expensive, I think they were $2.99 for a bag of 24. (I think I have a lot of fans to make! LOL). First, I sanded the handle to smooth out any splinters and then I painted it with FolkArt Vintage White acrylic paint. While waiting for that to dry, I gathered two matching sheets of Memory Box Spearmint designer paper and the cardboard backing. I used Aleen's spray adhesive, following the directions on the can to use in a well ventilated area, and adhered the paper to both sides of the cardboard. I cut this down just a little so no uneven edges would show. I used a corner rounder punch on each corner and then used the same acrylic paint on the edges, both front and back.

Next, I stamped the image from the Porch set. I cut the sentiment with a Spellbinders circle, a Spellbinders Scallop circle, and a Cheery Lynn Designs French Pastry Doily, all in one cut using my Spellbinders Grand Calibur. I did run the circle and scallop circle back through to emboss the edges. I used Beacon 3-in-1 glue to adhere the handle, and then I was ready to 'build' my fan.

I added several rows of lace, vintage ric-rac, delicate ribbon and the white bead trim. Then I added my sentiment doily and scripture circles. The SU! flowers came next and then the pearls. I tied some lace and ribbon on the handle and then glued the lace bow that I made with my Bow Easy onto the handle along with the white button. The last touch was just a few spritzes of Glimmer Mist!

Did you play house and tea party when you were little? I know I spent many summer days enjoying those activities. And day dreaming was a favorite past time too! This image reminds me of daydreaming! Imagine having a wonderful little tea party with pretty little birds, right in their own home! This is another one of the Crafty Secrets fabric images. I have a whole series of cards using these fabric images. This is the second one. The first was last week, which you can see here. The designer paper is K&Co, and I made the twill bow with my Bow Easy tool. Super easy card!!!

The sets this month are amazing! My parents gave me my first sewing machine this last Christmas and I am still practicing, but just on paper! Can you see the sewing along the edges of my card? I used three of the new sets for this ensemble. Spool and Tape, Sew Special and Sewn with Love. I colored the spool and tape with copic markers and cut it out. There is a matching die for this set that will make cutting this out so easy but I didn't have mine at the time so I used scissors and an x-acto knife. I stamped the sentiment and cut out the Spellbinders Circle, and Pinking Circle to layer over the Doily from Cheery Lynn Designs. Cheery Lynn products will be in the ODBD store very soon!!

The background designer paper and the doily are embossed with the Vintage Border embossing plate. I used Tim Holtz Antique Linen ink to rub on the embossed areas and the stitching to highlight the texture. I added lots of buttons and snips of lace and pearls. I made the lace bow with my Bow Easy tool. And then I sprayed it with Marshmallow Glimmer Mist to finish the card!

To complete this little ensemble, I made a little Tart Tin Pin Keep! I painted the antique tart tin with antique white paint, and then dry brushed a little blue over that. After that dried, I used another dry brush to add some brown ink to dirty it up a little! To make the pin cushion, I cut a piece from an old winter scarf, gathered the edges with thread and filled it with poly-fil, and sewed the edges together. I then sewed the button down through the center. I used Beacon 3-in-1 glue to adhere this down inside the tin. I sprayed some Suede Glimmer Mist to dirty up the scarf a little. I added a little Spellbinders tag that is stamped with a partial sentiment from the Sew Special set, keeping it in place with vintage lace and a pretty straight pin!

Christmas in July and Getting Dirty Week!

August Sneak Peek

Here is a peek at a couple of new sets coming out August 1st from Our Daily Bread designs! A beautiful floral border and a wonderful scripture from a different set! The floral border was designed to fit in the Spellbinders Labels 18. I colored the flowers with copics and popped up the scripture label with foam tape. I used a copic to line the edge of the scripture label too. The background paper is embossed with a Cuttlebug folder. I used glue to attach the two types of lace and then added the pearls border. I made the lace bow with my Bow Easy and attached the bow and button with glue. Added a few pearls at the top of the label and then sprayed the whole card with Glimmer Mist!

Good morning!

Playing in the Wednesday summer inspiration at the Passionately Artistic Blog again! This lovely image from one of those fabric sheets from Crafty Secrets makes this card easy to create! I cut the image from the sheet and attached it to a Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Square. I used two Spellbinders squares to cut a frame to hide the edges of the fabric square. I used Beacon 3-in-1 glue to attach the lace to the card base. Then I attached the image square to the base with foam tape. I made a pretty bow with my Bow Easy and attached it with more glue! How easy is that?!!!

Hi there! It's almost the weekend!!! Wishing my life away again! LOL!!!

Well, after casing Patter the other day, I was inspired to begin my own Faith Journal! And so I made this first page (really second page, I started with the word Hope, seen here) using one of the new Large Scrapbook Words that ODBD just came out with. I combined it with the Amazing Grace lyrics and Amazing Grace Hymn Background. The lyrics fit perfectly in the Spellbinders Lattice Rectangle!

But then, I decided to actually follow along in Patter's ABC Scripture challenge. Guess what? Amazing was not the first word I was supposed to use! Oh well, I guess that will be ok anyway, since the page I did the other day was not the right 'H' word either! But now I am trying to follow along with the proper words! So the second word is Bible. I made a little banner for the title and used a Spellbinders die for my Bible. I stamped the scripture from the He Is Risen set onto the page and then stamped the cross on another paper and cut it out. I added the thread and glued the cross to the other page.

Then it was just a matter of butterflies and lace!

The third word is Confidence. I still am not sure this page is finished! I used a couple of discarded pieces from other projects to frame the scripture from the ODBD set called Dad. The rest of the scripture is written in. I made the flower with crepe paper and added a vintage button from my stash.

And so, this begins my Faith Journal!

I am enjoying the time studying the scriptures while making something creative!

Sweet Williams and Cheery Doilies

Hi there! I've got a couple of cards to share tonight!

The first one is for the sketch challenge at Christian Paper Crafts.

I used a sheet of pale blue card stock from Archivers. I embossed the background with a folder from the Cuttlebug Preserves collection. I added a border punched with and EKSuccess punch. I stamped the Sweet William from ODBD twice and heat embossed with white powder. On the top flower, I cut each petal to give it more dimension. To create the center, I used a scrap of lace in my stash, rolled it up and secured it with glue. Then I added the pearl! The lace and ribbon along the border is from Really Reasonable Ribbon. I made the bow with my Bow Easy tool! To complete the card, I sprayed it with Marshmallow Glimmer Mist.

I just got this great new doily die from Cheery Lynn Designs! So pretty!! After cutting it out, I used a stylus on the back to try to give it an embossed feel. I added the EKSuccess border at the bottom. I stamped the sentiment from ODBD Mini Tags Three and cut it out with a Spellbinders circle. Then I added Martha twig around the center, Martha Hydrangea flower around the doily, lots of pearls and finally a pretty little white bow I made with my Bow Easy. I sprayed it with Marshmallow Glimmer Mist to finish the card!

Pink Butterfly, White Lace

Good morning! Hope you are having a great week!

I have another summer inspiration to show you that I made for the Passionately Artistic Blog!

I cut out Cuttlebug Butterfly from sheet of Core'dinations cardstock and added it to the card base. Then I turned the butterfly over and embossed it with a Cuttlebug Butterfly embossing folder. I attached it to the cut out area of the card with Beacon 3-in-1 glue. Then I attached the lace with the same glue, making gathers as I glued it to the card. I glued the ribbon and bow to hide the 'seam'. To finish the card, I added lots of pretty black rhinestones. The swirls and tiny ones were not in their original packaging so I don't have the maker's information. But the larger rhinestones are from Want2Scrap.

Today is my dear husband's birthday!

I bought this Impression Obsession stamp just for this occasion! Let's just say I have a couple of these beautiful creatures hanging on the wall in my den! When you are married to a hunter, well, there are just some things you put up with, ya know? I stamped the buck with Stazon Brown ink, sponged with several brown inks and then cut him out. (I also sprayed him with Marshmallow Glimmer Mist! LOL!) He is mounted onto an ODBD Elegant Oval made by Spellbinders. I stamped the background with ODBD Wood Background and then embossed it with a Cuttlebug folder.

I added a Martha fence and SU! Kraft seam binding.

3. Attach the paper onto card base with foam tape.

4. Attach butterfly and bow made with Bow Easy with Beacon 3-in-1 glue.

5. Attach pearls to complete the card.

Pitter Patter

Hi y'all! Today the Featured Stamper at SCS is my ODBD sister Patter! Patter is a very talented stamper and scrapper! She is working on a series of scrapped scripture pages which have been an inspiration to me for quite a while now. So when I heard Patter was the FS today, I was excited to start my own scripture journal! I noticed that Patter uses scraps and snips of this and that on her pages. She always titles her pages and she usually has some of her own handwriting. And so, that is what I did too! The only things that were not actually in my scraps of things I just couldn't throw away, were the main background sheet which is from a Webster's Pages pack, and the large fabric letters. I have had those letters forever just waiting for the right time to use them. Not to mention the fact that I almost completely stopped scrapping years ago in favor of card making! Even the stamped pieces were cast off from previous projects!! Nice to be able to actually use those saved items! The stamped pieces are all from Our Daily Bread designs sets. The sets are Anchor, Fleur de Lis Borders, and Serve the Lord. Congratulations Patter!!! Thanks for being such an inspiration not only with your talents but with your sweet spirit too! Hi there! I hope y'all are having a great Saturday!

My card today features two of the newest ODBD sets called Not Forgotten and Old Flag Background!

I love these sets and they go together so beautifully! I stamped each image and colored them with SU! inks, Not Quite Navy and Ruby Red and Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink, using tiny cotton balls and one of those tools look like a pencil with an alligator clip on each end. I am so sorry but I can never remember what those things are called! I stamped the sentiment and cut it out with a Spellbinders Oval. Then I layered each piece with SU! Soft Suede card stock. You can see how the soldier image lines up with the flag background! I added a strip along the left that is embossed with a row of stars. I used one of the borders in a Cuttlebug Border set called Measure for Measure. Then I added the brads and the ribbon. The largest square layer is distressed with a distressing tool. After attaching this to the card base, I sprayed the card with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist. I used a couple of challenges for this card:

DeLovely Summer Days

Good morning!

The Passionately Artistic Blog is still celebrating summer inspirations and here is my card for this week! I remember many times of playing outside, jumping rope, enjoying hot summer days! This sweet little image is a perfect summer time inspiration! She was trimmed from a wonderful set of images on a Cosmo Cricket DeLovely Elements sheet. I colored her with copic markers to match the border and the background designer paper, which is also from the DeLovely collection and is embossed with a folder from the Cuttlebug Preserves collection. I added a Martha Stewart lace border, some pretty vintage lace, DeLovely chipboard flower stickers and little green pearls to complete the card! Sweet and easy!

Faux Silk Flag

Happy 4th of July!!!

I am enjoying the day off and I was able to play in the Try a New Technique Challenge today! They are revisiting the faux silk technique which is something I've only done a few times. And I love how it helped to make this beautiful Old Flag Background from Our Daily Bread designs even more vintage! I stamped the flag onto tissue paper, wadded it up and after carefully smoothing it back out, I glued it to a piece of vanilla card stock using Mod Podge. I had to speed up the drying with my heat tool. Then I rubbed Tim Holtz's Antique Linen ink over it and sponged the edges with Soft Suede ink. Next, I sprayed it with Suede Glimmer Mist! I also sponged and sprayed the Spellbinders Circle behind the sentiment. This sentiment is from another ODBD set called Not Forgotten. The base card and the circle behind the sentiment are Core'dinations card stock. I added lace, vintage ric-rac, and then a Bow Easy bow made with SU! Kraft seam binding that is sprayed with the Suede Glimmer Mist too!

I have another CAS card to show you tonight! Let's just say I am practicing this method of card making! I used this adorable chickadee from Our Daily Bread designs from the set called You Will Find Refuge. I just recently got the matching Chickadee die and finally had some time to play with it! I started with a base card using Core'dinations card stock. The background layer is a sheet from a My Mind's Eye Kraft paper pack. I stamped the sentiment which is from the newly released Large Scrapbook Words set also from ODBD. The chickadee is stamped onto Core'dinations and lightly colored with copic markers. I did some sponging, then glued the lace and buttons on. I attached the chickadee with foam tape and then sprayed the card with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist! I am learning...

Well, this is different for me! I rarely do CAS cards because they are so difficult for me! But I really wanted to play in the Inspiration Challenge today at SCS and this is what I came up with. I chose this artwork from the Oopsy Daisy gallery as my inspiration piece. I used the Make A Tree Set and Hanging Stuff set from Stamp Camp. I stamped the tree, masking the bottom portion and sponged the blue hill. I enhanced the image and the hill with SU! colored pencils and a white gel pen. I used my Soft Suede marker to color the word from one of the little hanging tags (omitting the tag portion) and stamped the sentiment. Then I used Tim Holtz Antique Linen ink pad and rubbed it over the whole panel. It is sooo hard for me to not put something else on a card but I forced myself! LOL! Thanks for stopping by today! Ok, now for the details of my card!

I am featuring the newest addition to the Garden collection! The beautiful Hydrangea! This is absolutely one of my most favorite flowers so I am excited! I stamped the image twice and colored each one with copic markers in various shades of blues, lavenders, and greens. I cut out the flowers from one of the colored images and I popped them up over the other image with really thick pop dots. The background is a piece of K&Co designer paper. I embossed it with the Cuttlebug Victoria and sponged with SU! white and Bordering Blue inks. On one edge of the border I punched with Martha's fence punch. The opposite edge is embossed with one of Cuttlebug's Ironworks borders, leaving enough room for the ribbon. I made the bow with my Bow Easy. I added some pretty pearl swirls and three white Martha butterflies.

To complete my card, I spritzed it with Marshmallow Glimmer Mist!

ODBD Christmas Card Challenge

Good morning! There is a new Stamping in Time with Betty posted on the ODBD blog this morning! Betty's assignment is to make Christmas cards! Well, that helped to get me going as I am committed to making Christmas cards all year long and had not met my commitment for June yet! And today is the last day!!! ARGH!!! Anyway, I kept it simple to make it go faster! And I made ten!! Wahoo! Anyway, I used the Christmas Blessings set and stamped the sentiment in the blank area of the Cuttlebug embossing. I added red rhinestones on some until I ran out, and did a few cards with silver rhinestones. I made ten perfect bows with my Bow Easy and glued them on to complete the cards.

The card bases are SU! Baja Breeze and the vanilla layers are by The Paper Studio.

Hi there! I've got a quick sneak peek for you! Our Daily Bread designs has some great sets coming out on the first! This Sweet William is one of them and it coordinates beautifully with Spellbinders Blossom Three! I cut the card base with the largest Blossom from SU! Blushing Bride card stock and cut one other to layer over the top of the base. I ran this through my Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots folder. I stamped the flower onto some Basic Grey designer paper and detailed the flower with a SU! Pretty in Pink marker. Recently, while making another card I used Martha's lace border punch to create a border of pretty circles from some scraps of SU! Blush Blossom card stock, but didn't use them. I cut each circle out and added them to the larger blossom and to the center of the Sweet William. The XOXO is from a new set perfect for scrap-bookers and card makers alike! The set is called Large Scrapbook Words and will be available also on the first! I cut this out with a Spellbinders tag and attached it to the flower along with some lace and those little things from the wedding section of Michael's (can't remember what they are called!) with a large pink brad from my stash. The entire card is sprayed with Marshmallow Glimmer Mist.

1. Cut and score card base using Core'dination card stock. Save the end for the border.

2, Use Martha Stewart border punch, then emboss with Cuttlebug border above the punched out border. Trim the top edge and punch out the Martha Stewart butterflies from that piece.

3. Stamp Our Daily Bread designs Mini Tags 3 sentiment and cut out with Spellbinders Oval.

Use Scallop Spellbinders Oval for the mat.

4. Cut out designer paper (K&Co) for the background.

5. Adhere velvet ribbon, lace, butterflies and bow with Beacon 3-in-1 glue.

Finally add the rhinestones. (Larger rhinestones are Want2Scrap)

I played in The Shabby Tea Room challenge this week to use your favorite papers and embellishments! I love K&Co designer papers and of course I love those pearls and bling swirls! So this is what I came up with. The designer paper is from K&Co Watercolor Bouquet pack. It has touches of glitter on the design. I decided to stamp the Crochet Background from Our Daily Bread designs on the entire background and I like how it turned out! The little bits of flowers and glitter show through in an interesting way. The sentiment is called Each Minute and is stamped in brown and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The pearl and bling swirls are by Recollections. I usually cut these swirls down to a more manageable size and use the smaller pieces to accent on other cards. What you see here was actually one long swirl that I cut into three pieces. Well, really four, that long tail to the right was rearranged to make it look like it came from that same swirl! The three larger clear rhinestones are from my stash that no longer has the original packaging.

Midnight Madness, Doodling and Absolutely No White

I am still lovin' this new stamp from Our Daily Bread designs with the Jim Croce lyrics! I stamped it on one side of designer paper (it was in my scrap pile so I can't remember if it is Anna Griffin or K&Co) and the other side is my background paper. It is pink and cream, so I used a little scrap of Neenah cream for that one little swirl to the side. The base card and little flowers are Blush Blossom. I have only a few little scraps left of Blush Blossom and I am going to miss it terribly! To comply with the great Midnight Madness sketch, I used strips of lace behind the ovals. And for the Stampin' Sisters challenge, I doodled around the ovals with my Pretty in Pink marker. And since I was in the doodling mood, I did some embellishment doodling too, with tons of pearls and Martha flowers and a Martha butterfly! Hope you are having a great week! Here is my card for this week's Passionately Artistic Be Inspired Wednesday! We are still using the theme of summer and what is more summery than a beautiful butterfly? This card is kind of clean and simple for me huh? The sentiment is a new stamp from Our Daily Bread designs called Each Minute. The Oval and Lacey oval are Spellbinders dies and I used my Spellbinders Grand Calibur to cut them out. The butterfly is also from Our Daily Bread designs. It is stamped onto Core'dinations and cut out with the coordinating die. The Core'dinations card stock background is embossed with Cuttlebug's Kassie's Brocade embossing folder. I added vintage lace and beautiful black rhinestones from Want2Scrap. That's it! Kind Words are the Flowers

Hi everyone! Here is another card with a new stamp from Our Daily Bread designs called Kind Hearts! Such a great sentiment to use for a special thank you! The background is embossed with the Cuttlebug Victoria folder. The lace is vintage (love my vintage lace, courtesy of Mom!). I punched all those little flowers with a SU! punch and smooshed them into a piece of foam with a stylus to make them perk up! LOL!

These are all glued to a Spellbinders Lacey Rectangle surrounding the sentiment. I added pink stickles to each flower center. The bow was made with a Bow Easy and I added little Martha twigs behind the bow!

Hi there! I hope you all had a great weekend!

I've got another card to share with one of the new stamps available this month from Our Daily Bread designs. It is called Save Time and I love it! I used to sing this song by Jim Croce over and over! It is a classic! A couple of things to note on this card, the swirls accents on either side of the frame are from the Spellbinders Floral Accents die set. I hid the flower portion of the die cut under the lace and added the pink fuzzy brads over it. The brads were 'smushed' into a Sahara Sand ink pad to dirty them up a little because they were a tad too pink! I used pink pearls and white pearls. And the whole card was spritzed with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist! Thanks for looking and I hope you have a great week!

1. The Our Daily Bread designs image and Dad sentiment is colored with tiny cotton balls and SU! inks.

2. Then inked image pieces with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink in a straight line over the whole image piece.

3. The BasicGrey designer paper is embossed with Cuttlebug Clock Works folder and inked with Vintage Photo ink.

4. The image layer and background layer are popped up on foam tape.

5. Finished the card with twine and buttons.

Fit for a Princess

Hi there! Hope you have enjoyed your Sunday! I am trying to get some needed cards made up and I have one to show you! A very special someone in my life is having a birthday this week and I made this for her!!! I think she will like this, as it's a little bit grown up but has that young princess feel too. I am entering this into the Shabby Tea Room challenge this week to use embossing. I cut the card shape and centers with Spellbinders Blossom Three, Classic Circle and Scallop Circle dies and my Grand Calibur machine. The main blossom is embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder. The birthday sentiment is from the Mini Tags Three set from Our Daily Bread designs. I used an EKSuccess punch to create the strip behind the center and added SU! seam binding. Then I added a Bow Easy bow, tons of pearls and three little Martha butterflies. Hi there! Hope you are enjoying your evening! I have a card to share tonight which features four of the new sets from Our Daily Bread designs this month!!! The sentiment is from the Full of Grace collection and is called Each Minute. To create the background, I stamped the new Dahlia several times, then stamped the Crocheted Background with Antique Linen ink. I sponged the edges and then embossed it with the Vintage Border embossing plate! The sentiment oval is also stamped with the Crocheted Background. The crocheted lace border is from the new set called Serve the Lord and is cut out with the coordinating die!

I absolutely love this beautiful image in the Serve the Lord set designed by Dina Kowal! It is so vintage and just my style! I colored the image with vintag-y shades of copic markers and then used the coordinating Crochet Circle die to cut it out! I framed the image with some vintage lace that my Mom recently found. She finds some of the best stuff! Thanks Mom! And thanks to all of you for joining us today!

Summer Dahlia

Good morning! It's June 1st, can you believe it? The Passionately Artistic Blog has some summer inspiration for you this month! My card features a new stamp being released today from Our Daily Bread designs called Dahlia! Stay tuned for ODBD's monthly blog hop later this morning!! This Dahlia is so gorgeous! I stamped it several times onto a scrap piece of designer paper, cut out the layers and then inked it up with a combination of Tim Holtz inks and SU! So Saffron ink. I curled the petals with the help of a stylus too. The whole card was spritzed several times with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist.

Sneak Peek Time!!!

Hi everyone!! Have you had a great week? I hope so! And I hope you all have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! I wanted to share a little sneak peek of a new stamp that will be released from Our Daily Bread designs on June 1st. It is called Save Time and is part of a new collection called The Blessings Collection. So how many of you remember this song? I know I sang it over and over again once upon a time! One of my favorites!! This particular verse from the song is beautiful! Kelley has some really gorgeous sets coming out so be prepared!!! You're gonna love 'em!!!

Ok for my card, I went a little button crazy! Sorry, I couldn't help myself!! If you don't like buttons, turn away, turn away! LOL!!! I followed the Midnight Madness sketch this week and also the Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge to create a card of encouragement with touches of silver. The designer paper is embossed with the ODBD Vintage Border embossing plate and inked up with a distress ink pad. After the seam binding, lace, butterflies, pearls and massive amounts of buttons (and the touches of silver!), I sprayed the whole thing with Glimmer Mist in Simply Khaki and Dazzling Diamonds!
