This and That...

Hello friends.   This has been a sad couple of months for us.  I posted in November that my sweet Daddy passed away.  And now, my Mother in Law has gone to be with Jesus too.  I have been her caregiver for the last two years.  She had Alzheimer's.  We were able to keep her in her own home until the end.  Her last moments were peaceful and for that I am thankful.  And I am also thankful she has her memory restored
now!!!  Needless to say, our Thanksgiving and Christmas were pretty sad.  But with the Lord's help, we will make it through!  One day at a time!

Now I want to get back on track.  Kelley and my DT sisters have been so good to me!  And Kelley said to take as long as I need but I have to get back to making cards!  It is therapy for me as I am sure many of you can understand!  So here is my last card for 2013!!!

I used two new ODBD sets for this shabby card.

Thank you for stopping by!
And thank you so much for choosing my blog as one that you follow!
 I am honored!

  3. Hi Sandee! I always love seeing your gorgeous cards, and this is yet another stunner! I am so sorry to know of your loss. I know how dear your family members are to you, and how your heart has ached for the loss you feel. But what I joy to know that they are with Jesus in glory. You have clearly been SUCH a blessing in caring for their physical needs here on earth, and now....Jesus has them in His perfect care in eternity. You are such an encouragement to me, and I praise God for bringing you into my life. God is so good, and I thank you for sharing your talents. You bless me!
    Hugs,

  5. Oh Sandee my heart has been aching for you these past months! You were such a blessing to your mother in law by caring for her with such love even in the tough times when you probably wanted to scream! Your reward will be great! You have faced so much in a short period of time, yet as He promises.... He gives us strength for the day and never gives us more than we can bear! Isn't it a comfort to know they are in the presence of Jesus now... completely healed and we will see them again!

Your card is gorgeous as always... love the pretty papers and vintage feel! I am so glad that card making is therapy for you... the days ahead will be hard, but our Lord will be with you each step of the way. Continuing to pray for you and your dear mother and the rest of your family!!!

    Hugs and Love,
    Grace

  7. Oh, precious, Sandee! What a beautiful card! It is absolutely gorgeous! I'm so glad you took time to make something so beautiful as this card! You have had such a difficult year, and I pray that God will continue to encourage and comfort you and your family. May He give you renewed strength as you rest and get restored through Him. He is such a loving and caring Father, and what joy to know that your dear dad and mother-in-law are in the presence of their Savior. As you deal with their physical loss each day in the weeks and months ahead, may God bring to your mind special cherished memories as you grieve. You've been a wonderful daughter and daughter-in-law, and I pray that you will know that in your heart. Rest and give yourself time…time to rest, grieve, and gain strength and energy back. Much love and hugs, precious friend!
