Acknowledge Him

Hi everyone!  I wanted to share the card I made for the Shabby Tea Room challenge this week.  I made my first flower with lace and ribbon and an old button!  I just did a straight stitch along the edge of the lace and also on the ribbon and then pulled it to create the flower!  I glued the ribbon flower to the lace flower and added the old button from my stash for the center!!!  To shabby it up a little I sponged it with ink.  How cool is that?  I know most of you have probably already done this but I am just so excited about this!  LOL!  Anyway, hope you all have a great Friday and I'll see you Saturday morning for the
ODBD May Day Blog Hop!  Thanks for visiting!

Here are the supplies I used for this card:

Neenah Cream cardstock
SU! Soft Suede cardstock
the Paper Studio designer paper
Cuttlebug Textile embossing folder
Spellbinders Ovals and Scalloped Ovals
Stazon ink
Lace and ribbon and button for the flower

I also received the sweetest award today from a new blogger friend, Mariam!!!

Thank you so much Mariam!  I appreciate it so much!
I will be passing this along sometime next week, when I have a little more time!

Our Daily Bread designs May Sneak Peek

Hi there!!!  I've got a sneak peek for you today!  It's almost May if you can believe it and so it's almost time for more ODBD stamps!  Yay!!!  This card features one of the new sets called As You Graduate.  The image and scripture are stamped with Stazon ink onto vellum paper.  I layered this onto a Kraft piece and then framed it with a punched border.  I stamped the image again onto Kraft and cut out the butterflies to add to the image. They are sprayed with Suede Glimmer mist and it's such a great match to the Soft Suede cardstock!  Can you believe there is no embossing and no ribbons or pearls on this card?!!!  LOL!!  I just added the photo corners to finish it off.  Now, don't forget to come back on Saturday for our release day hop! Can't wait for you to see all the new sets!!!  Thanks for stopping by!

Here are the supplies I used for this card:
ODBD As You Graduate
Soft Suede, Kraft and Black cardstock
Vellum
Stazon ink
SU! border punch and photo corner punch

Be Inspired Wednesday #81

Good morning!!!  It's another Be Inspired Wednesday here!!!  For our Cuttlebug Challenge this week we are creating purses.  I used my ProvoCraft Cricut to cut out this sweet little purse using the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cartridge.  I ran the die cut through my Cuttlebug too, with the Tiny Mosaic embossing folder.  To give it that look of leather, I sponged it with two Tim Holtz distress inks and then spritzed it with two shades of Glimmer Mist.  The tag is stamped with a word masked from a sentiment from Our Daily Bread designs set called Mom.   Thanks for joining us this week!  Go check out the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the Design Team has to show you today and then become a follower!  There is so much inspiration on that blog, that you can't help but find something to that speaks to you!!  And this is the last week to enter to win the ProvoCraft Cricut Cake Machine!!!!   Thank you for visiting with me today!

Here are the supplies I used for this project:

ProvoCraft Cricut Machine and TBB&M cartridge
ProvoCraft Cuttlebug and Tiny Mosaic embossing folder
Memento Black ink
Pretty little Prima flowers
Ribbon
SU! Tag punch (I was able to make tag a little longer so the word would fit)

Be Inspired Wednesday #80

Good morning!!! Hope your day is starting off great!
We've got some great things to show you today over at the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog
It's Be Inspired Wednesday, and the design team was challenged to decorate Shadow Boxes!
I found a green 5x7 shadow box at Hobby Lobby for half price to use for my project.
I painted it with a cream colored acrylic paint.  For my background, I ran a piece of designer paper
from the Paper Studio through my Cuttlebug with the Damask embossing folder
and sponged it with SU! Chocolate Chip ink.
I cut the Chocolate chip cardstock oval with a Spellbinders die and it is also sponged.
Then I layered all four of the Spellbinders Crosses using Neenah Cream cardstock for
the center of the oval.  I added a pearl to the cross.  Then on the outside of the glass,
I added the Cuttlebug Vintage Corners and added little pearls there too!  What do you think?

Now, head on over to the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog for some more inspiration!
And don't forget to check out the Cricut Cake give-away!
I can't wait to see who wins this fantastic new product created by ProvoCraft!!!

Thanks for stopping by!!!

Blue Roses and Birthday Blues

Hi everyone!  I've got two cards to share with you today!
Both cards use the same simple layout and colors but both are very different.
If you know anything about me, you know that I struggle with the clean and simple concept of card-making.  And so, I've been studying some of my fellow ODBD sisters and practicing!
Although, as you see, I can't get rid of my layers!

This first card is very feminine.  I colored the image from the new Mother's Day set called Mom
with copic markers and paired it with a scripture from the Love One Another set.
I added teeny tiny white dots in the center of the large flower with a white gel pen.
And then finished it with a pretty bow and a lovely cross charm.

Here are the supplies I used for this card:

Neenah Cream and SU! Blue Bayou Cardstocks
Anna Griffin Designer Paper
Copic Markers G85, Bg93, BG72, BG75
SU! Vanilla Ribbon and Silver Cord
Cross charm
Spellbinders Square Nestabilities

And here is my clean and simple masculine card using the two new Father's Day stamp sets!  One of my favorite ways to stamp is to scribble some re-inker onto an acrylic block and dab it onto the stamp before stamping.  When you ink the stamp this way, it seems to really soak into the cardstock and you can feel the impression of the ink in the paper!  I'm not sure how to describe it!
Just adding the brad that looks like a screw finishes this masculine card!

Here are the supplies I used:

Neenah Cream Cardstock
SU! Blue Bayou Cardstock
Basic Gray Designer Paper
SU! Not Quite Navy re-inker
Spellbinders Square Nestabilities

Thank you so much for visiting with me today!
Have a great Tuesday!

Happy Birthday Boy!

Today is my grandson's 4th birthday!  And he is all about all super heroes and transformers and who knows what all!!!  I googled free transformer coloring pages and I found this transformer thing, guy, whatever it is!  I followed the sketch on the Midnight Madness blog for this card.  I printed the image and colored him with copics and cut him out with a cuttlebug puzzle die.  I also cut out some thin chipboard with the same die and then glued the cardstock pieces to the chipboard pieces.  Well, he loved it and told me the name of the transformer, but do you think I remember what it was?!  No!  Oh well, he loved the card and that's what counts!  Happy Birthday sweet boy!  Grammie loves you!!!

More Vintage Mother's Day Cards

Good morning!!!  I have totally gone vintage lately!!!  But I love it!
The Our Daily Bread designs images are colored with copics.
I did 're-arrange' the flowers a little bit to better fit the design.
I did lots of sponging for that aged look.

Here are the supplies I used:
Anna Griffin designer paper
Neenah Cream cardstock
Pretty in Pink cardstock
Copics G20,RV32, RV34,YG95, YG97
Martha Stewart border punch
Cuttlebug Textile embossing folder
Memento Black ink

For this card I used the challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room!  The challenge was to use squares in your shabby design.  And so I did!  She provided a beautiful photo of a vintage quilt for our inspiration.  This also fits this month's Dirty Dozen Vintage Theme!  I cut the designer paper into squares and attached them to the cream cardstock with my little Xyron sticker maker.  Then I ran it through the cuttlebug with the Textile embossing folder to get that quilted look.  And again I sponged it to get the antique feel.

Here are the supplies I used:

Pretty in Pink cardstock
Neenah Cream cardstock
Anna Griffin designer paper
Cuttlebug Textile folder
Spellbinders scalloped circles
Prima flowers
Pretty in Pink ribbon
Memento Brown ink

Be Inspired Wednesday #79

Good morning!
Today is Be Inspired Wednesday over at the Cuttlebug Challenge blog and today we are showing you how you can decorate plain, inexpensive t-shirts using your cuttlebug!  I had never tried anything like this before so I chose to keep it simple.  I used felt that is stiff instead of the regular felt.
It's very easy to get a clean cut with your cuttlebug.
I cut the flowers with the 2x2 flower die #1 and sewed them on, attaching a button too.

Here is a little closer view of the shirt.

And of course, I had to make a card to go with the shirt, right?

Here are the supplies I used:

Pink t-shirt from Michael's
SU! cardstock and birthday stamp
yellow buttons and floss
pink felt

Don't forget that this month, we are giving one lucky winner a Cricut Cake!!!!  Sign up to be a follower of the Cuttlebug Challenges and find out how you can win this fabulous prize created by Provocraft!

Vintage Roses for Mother

Hi everyone!  I played in the Shabby Tea Room today!  What a fun blog!  Unfortunately I didn't read the challenge very well, because I was only supposed to use one other color with my cream or white card!  But I did use all very muted pale colors so hopefully I won't be disqualified completely!  This Our Daily Bread designs image is colored with copic markers and the oval is sprayed with Pearl Glimmer Mist.  I sponged Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress ink on the edges of the Anna Griffin designer paper.  I added lace and Zva pearls to complete the card!  Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a great week!

Here are the supplies I used:
Neenah Cream Cardstock
Anna Griffin designer paper
Lace
Spellbinders Oval and Scalloped Oval
Memento Brown ink
Copic markers:
E000, E31, E41, R00, R20, R83, G20, G21, Y21, YR21

Blessed is the Man

Happy Saturday Night!  I started this card several nights ago and finally finished it tonight!  It was one of those that I had to stop because I wasn't sure what to do next.  This evening I ran across this Copic Color Challenge Blog and decided to play!  The colors for the challenge are YR16, BG49, and E18.  I don't have YR16, so I used YR18.  I also used E77 and N3.  I had already heat embossed this great tool box from Our Daily Bread designs so just filled in with the colors.  The YR18 doesn't show up very well against the brown on the tool box but the BG49 really brightened things up a bit!  This copic color prompted me to add the Taken With Teal layers and accent oval to match which made a drab card so much better!
Thanks so much for looking and hope you have a great Sunday!

Here are the supplies I used:

SU! Kraft, Taken With Teal cardstocks
SU! designer paper
Spellbinders ovals and square
SU! Photo Corner punch
Cotton Twill
Versamark, Memento Black ink and Black embossing powder
Heat Tool
SU! Basic Gray ink
Screw brad

April Fool's Day Fun!

Good morning!

If you landed here from the Our Daily bread Blog, then you are going the right way!  Today is April Fool's Day, and the ODBD team has been up to a little mischief!  But before we get into that, here are the basics on today's release and how you can win a gift certificate to purchase some of these fantastic new sets!

For today's New Release at Our Daily Bread designs, we are not doing a "formal Blog Hop", but the team has all posted a card using the new sets and are linking each other in their posts.  There are no secret words or letters to collect. However, just like in a blog hop, there will be prizes for viewing every DT's blog, leaving comments on all those you can, and returning to the ODBD Blog to tell us you have done so.  Two winners will be randomly chosen from those who do this, and they will each receive a $15.00 Gift Certificate toward stamps from the ODBD Store. (Note: the ODBD Blog can now take anonymous comments so everyone should be able to do this and if anyone cannot make a comment on any designer's blog, just state that in the comment at the end on the ODBD Blog) You have until 8PM Eastern on April 2 to complete these requirements.

Now for the fun part!!!  Today being April Fool's Day, we decided it would be fun to play a little game with the new release sets.  We each cased another DT member and then sent our card to that person to post on their blog today.  The fun is going to be to see how well Kelley really knows her team, because she is being asked to guess who created which card.  She is being asked to make a list of each DT member and write next to their name who she thinks made the card they posted.  It's all just in fun, but if you'd like to play along, we'd love to have you!  You can email your guesses to Grace at: gnywening@yahoo.com up until 8PM Eastern on April 2.  ONLY ONE email please!  The one or ones (in the case of a tie) who correctly guesses the most will be given recognition on the ODBD Blog when all the entries have been checked.

Here is the recipe for the card above:

Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs Mom (Image) and Happy Mother's Day (Sentiment)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo black, Brilliance Galaxy Gold (book pages)
Paper: Bazzill Green, BasicGrey Lemonaide Designer Papers
Technique: Colored image with Copics
Accessories: Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Edgeability, Spellbinders Label 7, Cuttlebug Swiss Dot Embossing Folder, Cuttlebug corner die cuts, ZVA Creative Satin butterfly, 1/4"pink satin ribbon, Stickles

Now to continue the fun, here are the next three designers after me:

Thanks for taking part in our fun today!
