Five More Cards for the Christmas Stash!

Hi there!  The weather channel on my computer says the temp will be 110 degrees today!  Gee whiz wally, it is way too hot! Hope you are staying cool where you are!

These are for my monthly commitment to the Christmas Card Challenge at SCS this year to do 5-10 cards per month!  My stash is growing!  Keeping it easy helps!  I used a Christmas cuttlebug folder to emboss the popped up square.  I added the snowflakes and buttons and a little bit of bling and that is it for this month!

Please remember to join the ODBD designers tomorrow morning at 8 am for our new release blog hop!!!  Here is a link to the ODBD blog!

Thanks for stopping in and hope you have a blessed day!

My Final Guest Week at Word Art Wednesday

Oh I am so sad to see the month end!  Is it just me, or is this year flying by?!!!  This is my final week as Guest DT at the Word Art Wednesday Blog and I have thoroughly enjoyed it!  And now I get to show you the whole completed book that I made with this month's Word Art!  First though, here is this week's Word Art and my art journal page:

I started with a piece of chipboard from packaging.  I used Mod Podge to attach some pretty designer paper and once it dried I ran it through my cuttlebug with the Wicker Weave folder.  I used paint, ink, dictionary pages, various embellishments, and the following Our Daily Bread designs stamp sets:

I truly had so much fun with the Word Art Wednesday gang!  Thanks to Karen and the entire team for allowing me to join you this month!  I had a blast!

And thanks always to all of you for visiting with me today!  Take care and God Bless You!

Thanks!

Hello everyone!  I made this for the Passionately Artistic Blog!  This is a place where you can link up your latest projects to get a little more exposure.  We would love for you to join us!

I used the following challenges at SCS:

CT0612-Diamonds and Pearls (This is only for Fan Club members, so join!)

I used a new ODBD set called Thank You Sentiments.  I colored the little picnic basket with copics and used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the sentiment along the side.  I inked only part of the sentiment with a black SU! marker before stamping.  The bow was made with Becca's Peg Bow Maker and glued down with Beacon 3-in-1 glue.  I added a little bling to the butterflies to complete the card.

Here is another card I made with a new set from ODBD:

This set is called Crown of Thorns and is just so awesome!  I kept this one really clean and simple, just adding the charm with some twine with a little Beacon glue!

So glad you stopped by today!
Before you go, I wanted to let you know that ODBD is having two huge stamp set sales!

and

Hurry and save today!  The sale lasts until Saturday, June 30, 2012!

See you again soon!

Deuteronomy 32:2

Good morning!  Week three already as guest designer for Word Art Wednesday!!!  This month is flying by as they all do these days.  And so, I have the third page of my little art journal to share with you today!  Can't wait to show the completed book next week!!!  The word art for this week is this:

Somehow when I printed this, it came out much smaller than I intended.  But then when I realized it would fit inside this pretty Prima frame, I was fine with it!

One more look:

Thanks for visiting with me today!  Take care!

In The End...

Hi there!  Hope you are having a great week!  So glad you stopped by!

I made this for the Passionately Artistic Blog!
We would love for you to join us and share your latest project by linking it today!

I followed the CAS challenge for this week at Split Coast Stampers!  The challenge was to be inspired by a photograph of a bathing suit in black and white.  So this is what I came up with.  The Abraham Lincoln quote is part of a new Our Daily Bread designs set called Bicycle.  I cut a Spellbinders Rectangle out of the black top layer to show the quote.  I added lace under the top two panels and then added ribbon and bling.  The bow was made with Becca's Peg Bow Maker.  Clean and simple!

Take care and have a wonderful day!

Prayer and Supplication

Good morning!  Hope you are having a blessed week!
Here it is, Wednesday again, the middle of June already and I am half way through my time as guest designer for Word Art Wednesday.  Which brings me to the second page of my little book!  If you would like to see the last week's page, here is the link.

The Word Art Wednesday word art this week is this:

I used all the same supplies, with the addition of Spellbinders dies and Glossy Accents for the black frame.  The stamps I used are Our Daily Bread designs

I just can hardly wait to show the completed book to y'all, but I don't want the month to end either!  Can't have it both ways, LOL!!!  Enjoy the blessings of the day!  See you again soon!

Another CAS!

Hi everyone!  Just a quick CAS card for you this evening!  This is for the SCS CAS challenge, white on white layers.  I used a new ODBD set called Thank You Sentiments.  This cute little picnic basket is included in the set and is perfect for CAS cards or for tags!  I colored it with copics and used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the sentiment.  Then just added the butterflies, the Memory Box die cut and the black rhinestones!  Thanks so much for dropping by and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Welcome to Our Daily Bread Design's Alumni Team's bi-monthly For the Love Blog Hop.  This week it's all about winged things!   Check out each link and leave a comment. If you get lost along the way, check the ODBD blog for full list of links.  One of the post is a hop hot spot and a name will be drawn from that list of comments to win a $15 ODBD store gift certificate.  So, all you have to do is hop along and see all the creations and leave a little love!  You have until Wednesday, June 20th at 6 pm.   Enjoy all the awesome inspiration using For the Love of ODBD Winged Things!
If you landed here from the wonderfully talented Lori's blog then you are in the right place!!!
We are so happy to have you join us today!!!
I chose to use the ODBD set called He Watches Me.  I love this image with it's coordinating scripture and quotes!  And the sparrow has a custom sparrow die to match!  How cool is that?!

I colored the image with copics and then cut it out with the die.  I stamped the quote and cut out a banner to stick inside the frame.  The frame is sprayed with Blue Glimmer Mist to match the Prima paper and Prima flowers.  The seam binding bow was made with Becca's Peg Bow Maker.  I finished the card with some pearl flourishes!

Now head on over to the blog of the super sweet and talented Jan Keen for more inspiration!!!

Enjoy the hop y'all!
See you again soon!

Exciting News!

Good morning!  I am so excited!

Several months ago I received an email from
Karen Letchworth of the Word Art Wednesday Blog inviting me to be a guest designer this month!!!!!

Every week they have either a scripture or encouraging quote for you to use in your projects but you are welcome to use one of your own as long as it is scripture or an encouraging word!  And so, for the next month, you will see what I created using their word art!  I had so much fun with this little project!  At the end of the month, you will see the total finished creation, but for now it's one week at a time!

I started with a piece of chipboard from packaging.  I used Mod Podge to attach some pretty designer paper and once it dried I ran it through my cuttlebug with the Wicker Weave folder.  Then I just went to town with paint, ink, dictionary pages, various embellishments, Our Daily Bread designs stamps (Simple Things, Faithful Friend and It Is Well With My Soul background), and of course the Word Art Wednesday scripture for this week!

Thank you Lord, for giving me a new heart and a new spirit!
Thank you Lord, for giving me this opportunity to share your word!!

So glad you took a moment to visit with me today!
Come back soon!

Canvas Butterflies

Hi there! Thank you so much for stopping by!

I made this for the Passionately Artistic Blog and for The Shabby Tea Room!  The theme in the Tea Room is Sweet Summertime along with either pink, aqua, brown  or teal.  I started with some pretty Prima designer paper, layering several pieces with lace and pretty seam binding.  I used Becca's Peg Bow Maker to create the gorgeous bow!  I stamped the sentiment form the new Our Daily Bread designs set called Thank You Sentiments and then framed it with a little frame that is spritzed with Vintage Pink Glimmer Mist.  The canvas butterflies are Prima and are also spritzed with the Glimmer Mist.  I sponged a little brown distress ink on the frame and papers and butterflies for a shabby look.  Just added the pearl flourish and the buttons to complete the card!

Hope you have a wonderful week!

You Bless Me

Hi there!!!

I have to say I absolutely love this new Bicycle set from ODBD!  A beautiful image that can be used for many occasions!  This time I paired it with a sentiment from the Thank You Sentiments Set that can also be used for different occasions!  I colored the bike with copics and used Glossy Accents on the basket and flowers and on the seat and fenders.  I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to get the placement right for the sentiment.  Then I added the Martha butterflies and pearls to complete the card!

For this one, I used the same sentiment from the Thank You Sentiments Set to make a banner!  The paper and embellishments are from Prima.  I embossed the paper with the Cuttlebug Wicker Weave folder and sponged Tim Holtz distress ink to the edges.  The pink rhinestones complete the card!

Thank you so much for stopping by!
YOU BLESS ME!!!

Now… on to the the details of my project.

I used the new set called Thank God.   Stamped and cut it out with a Spellbinders Oval and matted it with a Spellbinder Scalloped Oval.  The designer paper and the paper flower are from Prima.  I made the pretty seam binding bow with Becca's Peg Bow Maker, which I love by the way!
That's it!  Pretty simple!

I also have another card to share with you before you head to your next stop!

My first card was simple but this one is very CAS!  I used the new Bicycle set, stamping it in brown ink.  I used the Thank God stamp again but masked off just the words I wanted above the fence.  I colored the basket and flowers with copic markers, leaving the rest of the image uncolored.  Then I added Glossy Accents just to the flowers for a little interest!  Lastly, I sprayed Marshmallow Glimmer Mist to give the card a nice sheen!  And that's it!!!  What do you think?

Now for your next stop on the hop, please head on over to the amazing Chris' blog!
She always has a gorgeous creation to share!

Enjoy the rest of the hop and please know that we so appreciate you being with us today!!!
Thank you so much!!
