Pretty in Pink Kitty

Well, I'm just under the wire for the Midnight Madness Sketch last week again! Why, oh why can't I keep up these days? This was a fun sketch! I just found a set of Inkadinkado stamps on clearance at Joann's and thought this little kitty would fit perfectly in this sketch! I also used today's color challenge to use Pretty in Pink, Sage Shadow and Going Gray. I stamped Ms. Kitty in Pretty in Pink and decorated her with pink stickles. The designer paper is SU! Tea Party. I used a couple of cuttlebug embossing folders and the SU! Flower Trio punch. The little button brads are covered in stickles too. The sentiment is from Lots of Thoughts. Thanks for another great sketch! Looking forward to this week's sketch too! Fun fun!

Simply Amazing Grace

Good Morning! I wanted to share something a little different with you today. I have been participating in a monthly Artist Trading Card group for quite a while now and I really wanted to show you how Our Daily Bread designs stamps can be used for this type of project as well as cards and other projects. ATC's are the size of a playing card (2 1/2 by 31/2 )and are not meant to be sold, they are only to be traded with fellow artists. It's very important to sign and date your artwork before trading. It's also a great way to recycle! For the backs of my cards, I used cardboard from packaging. In the group that I trade with, the hostess chooses a recording artist and the participants to choose a song title by that artist and make an ATC based on only the title of the song. September's artist is Neil Diamond and I chose the song Simply Amazing Grace! This was a perfect opportunity to use the ODBD's Amazing Grace Collection! I randomly stamped the Amazing Grace Hymn onto some beige designer paper, sponged it with ODBD Terra Cotta ink and sprayed it with Gold Glimmer Mist. I punched blue coordinating designer paper with Martha's lacy border punch and sprayed with more glimmer Mist. I used Versamark ink to stamp the dogwood flower and the word grace from Grow in Grace set, then heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I cut these pieces out and attached them with foam tape, glue and my Xyron sticker maker. I heat embossed more gold around the edges of the card. Then I added the little Martha butterflies and gold pearls and gold organdy ribbon. I really enjoy working with this smaller canvas. ATC's are fun and allow you to expand your creativity. I hope you have enjoyed this post today and maybe you will be inspired to join a swap and see what others will share with you! I hope you all have a fantastic day! Thanks for stopping by!

More Catching Up To Do!

Last week's Featured Stamper at SCS was Tankgrl! What a great gallery! I chose to case this card. I changed the stamps, size and type of card, and added the embossed strip at the bottom.

Today, SCS is featuring Nancy Ruth! This is one fun lady and she has a great gallery too! I chose this card to case. I added an embossed layer, changed the shape of the image panel and the stamps. I masked and sponged the background to create this soft scene.

Both cards sneak peek one of three new stamp sets being released on the first of October by Our Daily Bread designs. This one is called Heartfelt Sympathy. You will be able to see these new sets by way of a blog hop on the first. There will be prizes!!!

Thanks so much to Heather and Nancy for your inspirations! And thanks so much to you all for visiting tonight! Hope you have a great week and see you soon!

Live Forever.

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in so long but I have had a crazy week! I just finished this for the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge this week to make a Fall card. I used a pretty Fall color combo to sneak peek this wonderful new stamp set being released October 1st by Our Daily Bread designs! Kelley has another collection of sets coming out for what I call 'every day' use. This collection is for those sympathy cards that we all need to make at times. I usually try to have some made ahead of time, so that I don't have to stress when the time comes. I colored the cat-tails with copics (C1,E07,E43,E74,G99). The dragonfly is colored with E74 around the edges and the body and lightly sponged with Always Artichoke ink. I cut him out and attached above the sentiment. Just to let you know, on October 1st, Our Daily Bread will be blog hopping again to kick off the month! You will love these new sets! Thanks for visiting with me tonight! I really appreciate all of you! See you again soon!

Wishing You God's Blessings

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

I just finished this card for the Midnight Madness sketch this week and for Friday's LSC. This beautiful sentiment is from a set called Thinking of You from Our Daily Bread designs. I thought this sentiment would work great for a Fall/Thanksgiving card. The designer paper, Perfect Plum frame and Spellbinders leaves are all sponged with Ruby Red ink and sprayed with Gold Glimmer Mist. I added pearls and gold organdy ribbon to finish the card! Thanks for looking and hope you all have a blessed Sunday!

Mojo Monday, Sisters in Christ, Soft Suede and an Award!

Hey there! Hope all is well! I've made a couple of cards this week and would like to share them with you. The first one is for the Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge this week! A sketch! I love these weekly challenges! So inspirational and fun! Give it a try! Of course I had to use one of this month's releases from Our Daily Bread designs called Friendship! I followed the sketch pretty closely but did add an extra little strip on the left edge. Hope that's ok! I stamped the dragonfly image in Sahara Sand ink onto Sahara Sand paper and stamped over that with Versamark and Dusty Durango and heat embossed in clear. I added lots of pearls I found that match well with Soft Suede, and a pretty dragonfly charm!

This card is for the Mojo Monday sketch and the color challenge this week to use Soft Suede, Pretty in Pink and Whisper White. Again, I used Our Daily bread designs September sets called Friendship and Thinking of You. The soft Suede designer paper is embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. I added lots of butterflies and pearls and some 'pretty' Pretty in Pink satin ribbon!

And last but not least, I got a wonderful award from the Midnight Madness team for last week's challenge card! What a wonderful surprise! I am so excited! If you haven't tried the Midnight Madness sketches, what are you waiting for? Thanks so much!!!!

Hope the rest of the week is full of blessings for you all! Thanks for stopping by!

Trying to catch up...

I am so behind! Due to the Labor Day holiday, I missed last weekend's challenges that I love to participate in-Featured Stamper and Stampin' Sisters in Christ. So these two cards get me caught up on the Featured Stamper challenges for last week and today. Last week, the FS honor was given to Lori! She has a wonderful gallery and I chose this card to case. I loved the simplicity of it but of course you know I can't leave well enough alone so had to add lots of bling and ribbon. My picture turned out weird because it shows the rhinestones to be blue when really they are green and clear!

Today, Shannan is our Featured stamper! She also has some wonderful things to look at in her gallery! I chose this one to case. Let me just ask right here and now, why do I keep trying to watercolor when I know my limitations? I don't know the answer but here is my card anyway! I covered up the water-colored butterfly so my lack of skill in this area is not so noticeable!

Both cards feature the new stamp sets from
Our Daily Bread designs

Be Well

Hi!!! What a week! I am pooped! But as usual, I needed the card therapy so here is the outcome! I made this for Tuesday's Midnight Madness sketch and for Thursday's Way to Use It challenge to use red. I used two of the versatile new sets from Our Daily Bread designs, Get Well Soon and Thinking of You. I actually put both stamps onto the acrylic block and stamped them as one stamp! I cut this out with a Spellbinders rectangle and sponged Real Red ink while still in the die. Added the Spellbinders Lattice pendant die cut things at the top and bottom of the image to stay with the sketch. I stamped the butterfly again in red and cut it out. I added Glossy Accents and fine glitter. Red gemstones on the flourishes and a pretty butterfly charm I found at Walmart and I am done! Hope ya'll have a wonderful Sunday! Thanks for coming by today!

I Always...

I'm back! Had a very nice weekend with friends and family! Hope you all had a great weekend too! I was going crazy to make a card so used the SCS color challenge today; Black, Olive and Eggplant. I used this new set from Our Daily Bread designs called Friendship. I stamped the dragonfly image with eggplant ink onto white cardstock twice and cut out one of the dragonflies. I used the Spellbinders Labels Four die to cut out the image and the layer. I sponged ODBD Olive ink onto the white before taking it out of the die. The eggplant layer and the embossed olive layer and the dragonfly are sprayed with Pearl Glimmer Mist. I used one of the Spellbinders Double ended tag dies for the scripture. I had to make it a little longer to work with the length of the verse. The bottom border is done with an Martha Stewart border punch. I added black pearls and black ribbon to finish the card! Thanks for taking a look! I'll hopefully get to check on everyone's blogs within the next few days too! I've missed ya'll! Goodnight!

Three For Thee

Hey ya'll!
Hope everyone is ready for a fun challenge!

This month's Our Daily Bread designs releases are out and we're ready to play! The challenge for September is to make a Pocket Card! Here are the highlights but you can visit the ODBD blog to see more details and lots of inspiration to get you going!

THREE new sets released on the first,
and Kelley has generously offered to give away
THREE PRIZES
!
(one of each of the three sets)
So this challenge is called
Three For Thee!

1.Make a pocket card of any style, shape, with as many pockets as you want. There are numerous tutorials on SCS in the Resources Section that you can use, or come up with your own design.

2. Link your card to the ODBd Blog by Thurs Sept. 17, 8PM EST. Winners will be announced on the ODBd blog on Sat. Sept. 19.

3. Anyone can play along, but only those using ODBd Stamps as the main focal point will be eligible to win.

4. Be sure to visit the ODBd Blog on Sept 19 to find out who won!

Ok, so let's get started!

I made a pocket card using this wonderful tutorial in the resources section of SCS. I started with a sealed envelope (4 3/4 x 6 1/2). I cut off one end about 1 3/4 and then punched the border with an EKSuccess border punch. I stamped the image from the Thinking of You set on the top portion and then one from the Get Well set on the lower portion first with ODBd Olive ink before running the lower portion through my crimper. Then I sponged front and back with ODBd Victorian Rose and Terracotta inks. I also sort of tapped the sponge in places which gave it the speckled look. I stamped the butterflies again with the rose ink and cut them out and glued in place. Then I stamped the sentiment in Memento Black and cut it out with the Labels Four Spellbinders die. I sponged and also stamped just the swirls before taking it out of the die. I placed the SU! ribbon and then added the label with foam tape. I added the cross charm with silver cord. The Hero Arts Flowers are colored with a copic marker #RV14 and added to the swirls on the label. Then I added Hero Arts pearls to finish the pocket.

Here is a photo of the card opened slightly.

And now for the insert,
I stamped the sentiment and the swirls and then sponged all around again
and added it to SU! Old Olive paper.
And that's it!

Now it's your turn to play!

Go check out these creations from some of the other breadsticks!
They're gonna leave you speechless!

I hope you enjoy the challenge as much as I have and let us see your work!
Thanks for stopping by to see me today!
Come back soon!

Love You

Hi! I'm up late, again! I made this card for this week's Midnight Madness sketch and Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge! For the SSCC, we were to make a card for our dear husband, just to let him know how much we love and appreciate him. So I wanted to get this done tonight so I could give it to him tomorrow! This card is pretty straight forward, just lots of layers! I colored the stamps with in-color markers to stamp the main image panel. I cut it out with a Spellbinders die and folded the corners down and added brads. The twine is Martha Stewart and was on clearance at Michael's recently. The Bermuda Bay strip is embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. The little leaves are done with a punch I have had for years! Anyway, hope hubby likes it!

Such a Blessing

Good morning! Well, I promised to show a sneak peek for Our Daily Bread designs Sunday but that just did not happen and I apologize! But I'm here today to show a card I made using two of the new sets Kelley has available starting today! They are all so pretty and the verses and sentiments are so versatile! Here they are!!!

The Doodles Collection!

Friendship
Thinking of You
Get WellAren't they just wonderful?!

And here is my card!

I used last Tuesday's Midnight Madness sketch and I combined the ODBd Thinking of You and Friendship sets together. I stamped the sentiment in Memento Brown ink and stamped the butterfly design in Riding Hood Red. I cut this out with a square nestie and sponged while it was still inside the die. This is layered on Ruby Red and Chocolate Chip. The designer paper is SU! Bella Rose. I used Hero Arts flowers and colored them with copic marker #E07, and then sprayed them with Pearl Glimmer Mist. The centers are SU! punched flowers and silver HPH. I used an EKSuccess border punch for the strip behind the sentiment. I bought the ribbon at Michael's and it is a very close match to Pink Pirouette!

Here are links to some other breadsticks
