Father's Day Center Step Card

I made this with some of the May Releases from Divinity Designs.  I love the new Weathered Wood Paper Collection!  I colored the image from the set called Best Dad Ever with copics and cut it out with a Circles Die.  I cut a mat with Scalloped Circles.  The circles are placed onto a Center Step A2 Card with the Center Step A2 Layers cut from the Weathered Wood Paper.  I also embossed the papers with the Fish Embossing Folder.  The sentiment is cut out with a Rectangle and matted with a Scalloped Rectangle.  I added some twine to complete the card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great week!

Birthday Boy

 Hello again!
I have another card to share that I made for my hubby!
He is celebrating a birthday today!

I followed the Free for All challenge on SCS today to incorporate a frame and yesterday's Ways to Use It challenge to use decorative borders.  I used a few discarded pieces and scraps from my scrap pile to create this card!  I finished the card with a little button.  The Happy Birthday die is from North Coast Creations and the other dies and the designer paper

Here are the supplies I used today:

Rock On!

Good morning!
I finally had time to play in the Sketch Challenge at Splitcoast yesterday!  Woohoo!

I am really loving this new Rock Star set from ODBD!  So fun to to create those dreaded masculine cards!  LOL!!!  And I did the watercolor wash technique which is a rarity for me.  It was fun!  I used distress ink pads rubbed onto wax paper.   I spritzed water into the ink, swirled it around with a brush and then set the watercolor paper (which had also been spritzed with water) into the ink several time.  After letting the blue ink dry I did it again with red, but not as much.  I also used a brush to kind of get a little more red trailing from the guitar.  The ODBD Patriotic designer paper panels are lightly coated with gesso.  Except for the Pennant die cut, I left it as is.  I stamped the image again and cut out just the guitar.  I colored it with matching copics and popped it up over the original image.  I tucked a little bit of a Beautiful Border die cut and then all the Sparkling Stars to complete the card.  Here is another look:

Summer Lovin'

I haven't done a sneak peek for a while but I have one for you today!   This is for the Free For All challenge on SCS yesterday, something that makes you feel summery.  Well, this is actually what makes my hubby feel summery!  Golf!  Lol!  I free hand cut the grass panels and the flag pole.  The clouds are a stamp in a North Coast Creations set called Something Marvelous.   The golf ball is the center of the flower from the Aster dies.  And, here is where the peek comes in...the pennant letters and pennant die cut are part of the new release coming out on July 1st from ODBD!!!

Come check out all the fun on July 1 on the ODBD Blog!!!

Thinking of You

Hi there!  Hope you are having a nice day!

This card is for two challenges:

and

I am in love with this new Barn stamp from North Coast Creations!  This time I colored it in sepia tones with copic markers.  I used my Scor-Buddy to score along the bottom of the image as well as the base card.  I added the sentiment from the ODBD set called All Occasion Sentiments.  I just added a button and some twine to complete the card!

Serenity

Hi everyone!  Here is a quick card that I made with the new The Waves on the Sea set from Our Daily Bread designs.  It is made much like the one I shared a couple of weeks ago.  I painted a panel of white card stock with blue paint in a white wash fashion.  I stamped the image and sentiment and then cut it into three panels to pop up on the card base!  So easy and great for those men in your life!

Here is the stamp set with link that I used:

Also, ODBD is retiring some sets and they are on sale!  Check it out!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful evening!

On the Sea

  Hey y'all!
Hope you are having a great day!  It's beautiful here today but we are expecting storms this evening.  Nothing like what happened in Oklahoma though!  I feel so awful for all who were in the path of that massive tornado.  Please remember to keep them in your prayers.

I have a card to share for the ODBDSLC155 challenge-Sky or Water

and for the SCS Fan Club central theme of 'Vacation'.

Remember when brads were the newest hottest thing to hit the paper crafting world???  And now I rarely use them and still have tons!  They really work so well for masculine cards!  I stamped this new ODBD image from The Waves on the Sea onto designer paper and cut it out with the ODBD/Spellbinders Elegant Oval.  I sponged the edges and used a copic multiliner to outline some of the image to highlight the detail.  I stamped the Fishing Net Background onto coordinating paper for the base.  The banner is made with the border die from the ODBD/Spellbinders Cathedral Window and Border Die set

Here are the ODBD supplies I used:

That's it!  Hope your day is blessed!  See you again soon!

Mix-Ability Challenge 15

Hey y'all!  I have two cards to share that I made for the Mix-Ability Challenge on SCS!  This first one is made with a scrap of old SU! paper that is adhered to card stock with Mod Podge.  I cut out the Spellbinders Dress Forms and Mod-Podged them into place over the  background.  I added a little paint, and sponged ink and did a little doodling too.  The banner is cut from the ODBD/Spellbinders Cathedral Window and Borders Die and the sentiment is from the ODBD set called Little Girls. I finished the card with black rhinestones!

Here is my second card:

For this one I tore strips of designer papers and mod-podged them down to card stock.  I globbed some brown paint here and there.  Then I used a die cut from the ODBD/Spellbinders Cathedral Windows and Borders to create a mask.  I held the mask down and dabbed white paint with my finger.  Then I mod-podged an unused Cheery Lynn Flourish and an unused Spellbinders Itty Bitty Blossom.  I stamped the ODBD Fishing Net Background here and there too.  Next I stamped the fishing boat and the sentiment from the set called The Waves on the Sea, cut them out and mod-podged them down too!  A few more little globs of paint finished it off!

Here are the ODBD supplies I used for these projects:

Hawg Rider

Good morning!  Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
And for all you moms out there, hope you were spoiled rotten!

Here is a card I made using the new North Coast Creations set called King of the Road!  I stamped the motorcycle with versamark and heat embossed it in silver.  The silver card stock is embossed with a cuttlebug folder.  The sentiment is encased in some hardware and I added Glossy Accents over it to make a nice embellishment!  A quick and easy masculine card!!!

Here is a pic of the set:

So glad you stopped in to take a look!
Be sure to visit the NCC Blog on Wednesday the 15th to see the May releases!!

Good morning!

We are so excited to have you with us today!  You are gonna love this month's release!

Here are the particulars:

The hop will run from May 1st 8:00am to May 2nd 8:00pm EDT.
Winners will be announced May 3rd.

The gift certificates must be redeemed within the month of May!
To qualify to win all you have to do is hop to each designer's blog, leave a comment, and return to the ODBD Blog to tell us you completed the hop, and if you had any difficulties along the way!

Now onto my card:

I used the fabulous Cathedral Window-Marble for the front of my card.  I colored the glass with copics and then clear embossed the entire window.  I used the ODBD/Spellbinders Cathedral Window and Border die to cut the window out.  The background was made with the Vintage Border Embossing plate that is now retired.  Notice the hardware along the side of the window...

So when you open the window, you see out onto the ocean scene!  This is The Waves on the Sea set!  I stamped the scripture on the inside of the window.  I trimmed a piece of card stock to the size of the window to secure all the front window pieces.  I made a little hinge and used Scor-Tape to adhere it.  In fact I used lots of Scor-Tape on this card to be sure the window would stay in place!  The ocean scene is embossed in black and sponged, using a circle for a mask to create the moon.

After putting everything together, I thought to myself that the front of the card was a little plain and didn't highlight the beautiful cathedral window.  So I added the Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish and a few flowers and pearls.  Once I had that all glued down good, I realized...there probably aren't too many cathedrals with vines and flowers growing up the walls on the inside of the building!!!
Oh well, it is what it is!!!

Here is what's on the back of my card!
The new ODBD Logo Handmade by stamp with the lighthouse from the very first ODBD stamp set, Light of the World!
 Love it!
