Peace on Earth

I finished my March commitment of Christmas cards for the CCC on Splitcoast!  Yay!

Again I am trying not to make many square Christmas cards and trying to keep them flat for easier mailing.  So CAS seems the way to go!  I made six of these.  I cut out and embossed six panels with the Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles.  I masked off the edges and stamped the church image from the ODBD set called Worship the Lord.  I also used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to place the sentiment which is from the Ornaments 2 set.  I colored in with copics and popped each panel onto the card bases.  Then I used white liquid appliques to create the snow!  To finish the card I added touches of stickles for an icy look on the roof and sidewalk.

Here are the ODBD sets I used:

Never Will I Leave You

Hello!!!

I have a couple of cards to share using one of the new ODBD Anniversary sets,
Scripture Collection 10!  I went a little shabby on this one with pretty Prima papers, lace and pearls.  I also stamped part of the Honeycomb Background on the paper!  The scripture is cut out with a tag from the ODBD/Spellbinders Recipe Card and Tags Dies.  The little bow was made with Becca's Peg Bow Maker.  The little bird is from a digital paper sheet (Digital Papers by Janet Etsy) that I won in The Shabby Tea Room challenge last week!  WooHoo!!!  My card was chosen as one of their top three!!!

And this one is clean and simple!  I used the Scripture Collection 10 again framing it with Spellbinders Labels 26 and Marvelous Squares.  I made the little flowers and leaves with  Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms with papers from My Mind's Eye.  Zva pearls complete the card!

Here are the ODBD supplies I used for these cards:

So glad you stopped by to take a look!  See you again soon!

Gingham and Spring

Hello!  Has Spring sprung in your neck of the woods yet?  It was beginning to here but then we have had a little cold snap this week!  While I am definitely looking forward to warmer temperatures and I am dreading the pollen that goes along with it!  Are you affected by pollen?

The Shining the Light Challenge on the ODBD blog (ODBDSLC147) is all about Spring!  So here is my little Happy Spring card!  This card is small and dainty!  I used the largest Spellbinders Labels 26 for the base.  Then I stamped the Gingham Background and cut out a square with one of the Spellbinders Marvelous Squares.  I stamped and colored with copics, the pussy willow image from the Happy Spring set and cut it out to adhere to the gingham background layer.  I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to place the sentiment.  I added a tiny little pearl to the bouquet of pussy willow to complete the card!

Hope you are having a great weekend!  Thanks for stopping by and
HAPPY SPRING Y'ALL!!!

Happy 5th Anniversary ODBD!

Hello everyone!

Each year, Kelley allows each of her design team members  to
submit a Scripture Verse, a sentiment or a quote,
and those submissions are made into the Anniversary sets.
Today's hop will show most of those submissions, and we truly hope you love them as much as we do!
If you got here from the very talented Dawn's blog, you are in the right place!
If not, why not start at the ODBD Blog and hop from there?
Here are the details of the hop:
  • Hop will run Mar 16 8:00am EDT to Mar 17 8:00pm EDT
  • Winners announced Mar 18
  • There will be THREE PRIZES of $25.00 Gift Certificates toward stamps! (must be claimed within 2 weeks)
  • To qualify for one of these prizes, simply hop to each designer, leave a comment and return to the ODBD blog to let us know you finished the hop, if you had any problems along the way, and most of all, leave your congratulations on this big milestone for Kelley and Rick!
Now... on to my card and the verse I submitted:
I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine.
Song of Solomon 6:3

What a powerful and beautiful scripture!  To me, this is God's way of letting us know how deep is His love for us, in ways that we can understand.  We can totally relate to the deep, deep love between spouses.  God's love for us is so much deeper that we cannot even fathom but this scripture can help us have a better understanding.  I thought this verse would be great for weddings or anniversaries too!

My card is shabby chic which is a style I love to use.  Most of the My Mind's Eye designer paper pieces and the card stock are distressed and inked on the edges.  I stamped the scripture from the Scripture Collection 10 set and cut it out with the tag in the ODBD/Spellbinders Recipe Card and Tags Die set.  The chipboard frame is also inked lightly.  I added Martha's stamped border, vintage lace, Prima flowers and leaves, and seam binding.  The seam binding bow was made with Becca's Peg Bow Maker and I added a little button with a crochet thread bow to the top of the seam binding bow.

We are so glad you could join us for our anniversary celebration hop!

North Coast Creations New Release!

Good morning everyone!  Welcome to the first North Coast Creations New Release!

Such cute critters are being introduced this month!
The 'Coasters' have been having lots of fun creating cards with them!

For EXTRA fun today we are choosing 2 winners who will receive
a $10 gift certificate to the store for stamps just for commenting on our cards!
You have until March 17, 2013 at 9:00 pm EST to make those comments in NCC post!
Make sure to LIKE us on Facebook  and to FOLLOW us on Pinterest!
Here is my first card!
I used the cute Easter Bonnet Chick!  Isn't she adorable?  I cut a Spellbinders Fancy Lattice to lay over the designer paper and then made a frame with a Spellbinders Square and a Marvelous Square.  I colored the chick with copics and cut her out with a Spellbinders Oval.  I stamped her again to cut out her bonnet and popped it up for a little dimension.  Then I used the Cheery Lynn small flourish and a Memory Box Egg along with Martha punched flowers and pearls to finish decorating the frame!

Next up is Banjo Pickin' Chucky!  He is a fun little crazy critter!

I colored him with copics and cut him out.  The designer paper is from an old pack of DCWV paper I found in my stash.  I am trying to use some of my stash and not buy much new.  So hard for me to do!  Anyway, I thought this made a cute background for Chucky!  The sentiment is computer generated and cut out and framed with Spellbinders Ovals.  From the leftover pieces of the paper I punched out the bird, snail and flower to decorate the scene!

Here are the NCC stamps I used:

Happy Birthday!

Good morning!

I have a quick card to share that I made using the theme and sketch from this month's Fan Club at SCS.  The designer paper is from my stash and I no longer remember who made it!  But it is a birthday theme and I thought it would be cute with this new set from ODBD called Baking Gift Tags.  There is a cute little cupcake stamp included in the set along with a couple of circle type stamps.  And there is a matching ODBD/Spellbinders Recipe Card and Tag Die!!!  WooHoo!  I colored the cupcake with copics to match the paper and then stamped the scalloped circle.  I cut it out with the die and adhered it to the top of the banner.  The birthday sentiment is from the ODBD set called Little Boys.  The twine is Martha Stewart that I bought a long time ago.  I am really trying to use my stash of stuff without buying so much new!  Hoping to save a little money that way, ya know?

Here are the ODBD supplies and stamps I used:

Thank you so much for stopping by!  Have a wonderful day!

Come join our Anniversary Linky Party!

Hi everyone!

March is an exciting month for Our Daily Bread designs as it celebrates it's fifth year anniversary!!  Kelley so appreciates the customers of Our Daily Bread designs and is excited for the opportunity to celebrate with them today with the ODBD Anniversary Linky Party celebration!!!

My card is smaller than what I usually create.  I used the Spellbinders Decorative Labels One to create the card base.  The top layer is Spellbinders Scalloped Labels One.  I stamped the Pussy Willow image from the new set Happy Spring randomly on the card stock.  I colored it with copics and added Ultra Fine White Flower Soft.  I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp the sentiment.  And I used Becca's Peg Bow Maker to create the bow and adhered it to the card.

That's it!

Thank you for coming to our kick off party!
There are lots of things planned for the week so be sure to check out
the ODBD blog each day to see the details!

Now on to my first project!

First, let me apologize for all the photos but I wanted you to be able to see everything!  I used lots of sets for this little recipe book, some new and some old.  This month's release is so fun!  I used the new ODBD/Spellbinders Recipe and Tag Dies, cutting the cards from chipboard packaging and from white card stock.  Then I stamped the card stock pieces in a pale blue with the new Gingham Background.  I did lots of masking to stamp each recipe card tab with words from the new Marriage Recipe set.  And I stamped the full top half of the Marriage Recipe for the front cover and the second half for the back cover.  Then I chose several scriptures from past sets to go with each tab category.  I cut all of these pieces out with the Spellbinders Labels Four.  Then I stamped the rolling pin from the new set Baking Gift Tags and attached each panel to the cards.  I added pearls to each panel and then a little flower arrangement on the cover. All cards are put together with my Bind It All to make this little Marriage Recipe Book!  This would make a cute gift for a bride to be or for an anniversary!   Adding special photos would be fun too!

Here are more photos of the inside:

Here is one more little card I made with the new Happy Spring set and the Gingham Background!

Here are all the ODBD sets and supplies I used for these two projects:

Whew!
