Sketch Challenge 642, Many Thanks

 Happy Wednesday!

This week's Sketch Challenge at Splitcoast has lots of fun layers!  I chose to keep the layers simple.  I used the gorgeous ODBD Whimsical Wildflowers Paper Collection paired with matching solid purple card stock to create the layers.  I made the tag with ODBD Tag Trio.  The sentiment is from ODBD Many Thanks and is stamped onto an ODBD Double Stitched Pennant Flag.  One of the designer paper layers is cut with an ODBD Pierced Square.  I added a bit of seam binding to the tag to complete the card!  Really easy card!

That's it!

ODBDSLC285, Birthday Rose

Hey y'all!

I am loving this new ODBD Rose and Rose Leaves so much!   It just makes a gorgeous bloom!  This month's ODB Shining the Light Challenge #285 is to create a project with a die cut flower.  My rose bloom is layered on top of the new Lattice Background die cut and I tucked in a little Fancy Foliage too.  I added a Beautiful Border along the bottom with some pretty seam binding too!  The sentiment is from the new set called Lovely Flower and is cut out with a Pennant Flag.  A few pearls here and there finished the card!

Looking Back at the ODBD April Release

 Good morning!

Thank you so much for visiting with us today as we share
more projects with the wonderful ODBD April Release!

My card features the Lovely Flower set and the coordinating Fancy Fan die.  I colored the image and sentiments with copics to match the card stock.  The little heart is from Ornate Hearts.  The Lattice Background is layered over the blue card stock and popped up on the card base.  The middle panel is cut with a Pierced Rectangle.

SC640, Lovely Flower

Hello!
I made this card for this week's Sketch Challenge at SCS!

I used some of the new goodies at Our Daily Bread Designs. The Rose and Rose Leaves dies along with the Lattice Background and Lovely Flower sentiment are all new.  I also used a tag from Recipe Card and Tags, one of the Fancy Foliage dies and Bitty Borders.  The flowers, leaves and vines are all lightly colored with Pan Pastels
and I added Pink Stickles to the centers of each flower.
I finished the card with a pretty seam binding bow.

Thanks so much for visiting!
Have a wonderful day!

Inspiration Challenge 592

Good morning!

I love my Misti tool!  I use it for almost every single card I create!  So when I saw the Inspiration Challenge at SCS this morning, I knew I wanted to try making this background.  Somewhere along the line I have seen a tutorial about this but can't remember where.  And of course I made some mistakes in getting it lined up exactly, but I'm fine with that.   :)  This pretty oval stamp is part of the new ODBD Lovely Flower set which coordinates with the gorgeous Fancy Fan die!  I used the Misti tool to stamp the oval which enabled me to stamp twice for each image to get a good impression.  After stamping a number of images, I cut out a panel with the ODBD Pierced Rectangle.  This panel is adhered to an ODBD Circle Scalloped Rectangle.  The sentiment is also part of that same stamp set and I used ODBD Ornate Ovals to create the center oval panel.  The seam binding bow was dyed with the same ink to get a perfect match!

Thanks so much for looking!
Happy Saturday!

Praying for You My Friend

Hello there!

This is for this week's Sketch Challenge #639.
I am really enjoying this gorgeous new set from ODBD called To My Friend.  The dandelions are so fun to play with! I stamped the smallest dandelion and then used several copic markers to flick the color from the center out, flicking out way beyond the image.  I also used stickles on the image.  The sentiment in the circle is from the new set called Lovely Flower.  The Friend sentiment in the Double Stitched Pennant Flag is from the To My Friend set and is masked from a larger sentiment.  I also used ODBD Pierced Rectangles, Pierced Circles, the Flower Lattice die.  The designer paper is from the ODBD Shabby Rose Collection.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your day!

Friend

Good morning friends!

I decided to try the Black Magic technique for the TLC632 this morning.  The Black Magic technique is pretty easy.  First you stamp your image with white ink onto a dark sheet of card stock and heat set it to dry.  Then you use colored pencils to color in the image.  I used the new ODBD To My Friend set, which has two sizes of dandelion and several sentiments.  After you color with the pencils you can embellish as you want with gel pens.  I used several gel pen colors from a set I recently purchased at a craft show.  The word 'friend' is masked from a larger sentiment in the set.  The only dies I used were Pierced Rectangles and Circle Scalloped Rectangles!

Thanks for stopping by today!
Hope you give this fun technique a try!
 Enjoy your day!

Here is my first card again:
I love this new set called To My Friend!  I knew I had to make a watercolor background for this set the minute I saw it!  I spattered masking fluid down first, used three shades of watercolors and then used a heat tool to dry it. I wiped off the masking fluid and then cut out the panel with a Pierced Rectangle.  This panel is layered onto a Circle Scalloped Rectangle and popped up with foam tape onto the base card.  I added a pretty seam binding bow to complete this card.
Here is my second card:

Be still my heart!
I love this new Fancy Fan Die!  And the Lovely Flower set is so perfect!
I stamped each image and then cut each one out with the Fancy Fan.
I colored with copics and also sponged each blade with a blush ink.  I arranged the blades and popped them up onto the base card.  The base card is covered with papers from
Cozy Quilt Paper Collection and Pastel Paper Pack.  I also added one of the
Beautiful Borders.  A pretty bow completes the card.

That's it for me!
