Sneak Peek Alert!!!

Hi there!!!
Here is a sneak peak at a couple of new ODBD sets that will be released on September 1st!

I was able to play in the SCS Inspiration Challenge this morning!
I chose this Pinterest photo as my inspiration:

The dress form image called Elizabeth is heat embossed and then I water colored it using the Watercolor Bleed technique.  I still need lots of practice though!  The sentiment is from the Doily blessings set.

Be sure to join us for release day on Monday September 1st!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Enjoy your weekend!

Enjoy Simple Beauty

Good morning! I made this card with a beautiful set called Old Grist Mill from Artistic Outpost.  I will be entering it into their monthly challenge-Anything Goes with AO stamps!  I have really become a fan of creating CAS cards lately. For this one I stamped the image and sponged the edges with TH Vintage Photo ink.  It is popped up on a layer that has an embossed frame done with Spellbinders dies.

Hope y'all have a wonderful Thursday!

Looking Back at the ODBD August Release!

Good morning!
Today we are taking a look back at the ODBD August Release!

My first card features Anchor the Soul.  I decided to pair it with a set that came out in 2009 called Footprints in the Sand.  After stamping the images I colored in with copic markers in various shades of brown.  Then with Spellbinders A-2 dies I embossed the frame around the images.  I used a copic multi liner to trace some of the stamped areas for a more definition.  I turned the panel over and used a stylus to emboss the anchor and the footprints and the sea gull.  The anchor and bird were fairly easy to see where to emboss but it was not quite so easy with the footprints as the ink was lighter there and didn't show through on the back very well.  But I still like how just that little bit of embossing looks!  I stamped the sentiment and cut it out with an ODBD Custom Vintage Labels die.  I added the panel to the card base with foam tape.

Here is a quick note card I made with the Sand Dollar stamp.

I just stamped the Sand Dollar three times and cut each one out to pop up over the card panels!  I did a little sponging on each sand dollar too.  Simple as pie!

And one more...

For this one I used copic markers to color the background and then just stamped the Legend of the Sand Dollar and added a few vintage sequins!  Oh and I drew the sea gulls.  Another quick card!

Challenges, Challenges, and More Challenges!

Whew!  This last week I have made sooooo manyyyyy cards!  I participated in the annual Dare to Get Dirty challenges over at SplitcoastStampers.com for Fan Club Members only and man oh man am I exhausted!  But I did it!  For the first time I was able to complete one card for each of the 49 challenges and that makes me a Queen!  Haha!  If you would like to go check out what I am talking about go to www.splitcoaststampers.com.  If you look around and decide it is a fun place to be, why not join the fan club and get even more perks?  Like this last week's eagerly anticipated annual  DTGD challenges!

Anyway, my first card was for Dina's challenge.  I can't share the challenge details because it's a secret unless you are a fan club member. I used one of the new sets from ODBD called Flip Flop Fun!  the little flip flops come with their own matching Flip Flop dies!  How cute is that?!!!

Here is another card I made with new ODBD sets for Jeanne's challenge:

I used the Sand Dollar stamp along with The Legend of the Sand Dollar stamp.  I masked off the two lines to keep my card CAS.  I added some sequins too!

Here are the new ODBD products I used for these cards:

Welcome to the ODBD August Release!

 Good morning!!!
We are so happy you have joined us for the ODBD August Release Reveal!
We love having you come back to visit every month!

So let's get right to it!  Here are the details of how you can be a winner:

Three winners will be randomly chosen from the comments left on the designers blogs to receive a $15 Gift Certificate to the ODBD Store, to be used toward the purchase of ODBD Stamps found in the "stamps column" of the website.  You have until August 2, 2014 at 9:00 p.m. EDT to leave your comments!  The Winners will be posted on the ODBD Blog on August 3rd, so be sure to check back there to see if you won!
Here is my first project:
I have used Anchor the Soul along with the Fishing Net Background stamp.  The net is stamped onto vellum and placed over three strips of card stock in varying shades of blue.  Then I made a frame with Spellbinders A2 dies.  I stamped the scene and cut it out with one of the circles in the ODBD Circle Ornament dies.  I stamped the scene again so I could cut out the sea gull to pop up just a tad.  The sentiment is stamped onto a banner from the ODBD Pennants dies.  I cut out the swag shape using a die from ODBD Cathedral Window and Borders set.  I cut out the little anchor to tuck into the swag and added the sequins and the bow to complete the card.
Here is my second card:

This time I used the cute Flip Flop Fun set!  This was an easy scene to create!  I colored the flip flops with copics and used the new Flip Flop dies to cut them out.  I added more sequins to the beach and then to the flip flops with little rhinestones.  I added pennants from the ODBD Pennant Row dies, the bow from the ODBD Circle Ornament dies.  The sentiment is cut out with one of the tags from

*A little side note on the sequins:  I have a 96 year old great aunt.  Recently she gave lots of craft supplies to my mom who handed them over to me.  The sequins were in the stash!  How fun!  So I'm pretty sure they are vintage.  I haven't really shopped for sequins before, but have never seen the star shaped ones!  Cool!*
