Christmas Card Challenge for August

Hi there!  Here are ten cards I made late last night for the Christmas Card challenge at SCS for August!  I used the StampinUp! set called Jolly Old St Nick.  Image is colored with copics.  Eight look like the one up front and you can see a smidgen of the other two behind it.   There is a bit of Stickles too for a little sparkle!  I'm still trying to stay with the CAS technique for easier creating and mailing.

Thanks for coming by today!!!
Looking forward to the ODBD Blog Hop on the first!!  Loving the new sets about to be released!!!
See you then!

Sitting in my Garden Chair

Good morning!  Well, here it is!  My last card as guest designer for Mark's Finest Papers!
This is for the Simple Salutations Challenge.  CAS with a sentiment!

The stamp set is Adirondack Summer.  I used a square Spellbinders to emboss and my Stamp-a-ma-jig to get the correct placement of the quote.  That's it!  Easy!!!

Thanks again MFP, for this opportunity!  And thanks friends for stopping by today!  Enjoy!

Good Morning!

Hi there!  Hope you are doing good today!
It is a rainy day in my neck of the woods, but I love rainy days!

For today's Sketch With a Twist at Mark's Finest Papers, the twist is there is no sketch!  LOL!!!  In other words, anything goes!  I used MFP's Adirondack Summer stamp set.  I have always loved cats and this one sitting on the Adirondack chair is so cute!  The designer paper is StampinUp!  I'm sure it is retired, but I don't have a new catalog to check.  The flower is cut from that same paper.  Just added some pretty gingham ribbon and big ole button to finish the card!

This is my final week guest designing for Mark's Finest Papers.  I've enjoyed my time and really appreciate the opportunity!  Hope you all have a great day and I will see you again tomorrow!

Winter Crocus

Hello!!!  It's another beautiful morning! Hope you are doing well!

If you are here for Randi's Surprise Birthday Blog Hop,
please scroll to the next post or click HERE.

Here is a card I made for the Mark's Finest Papers Simple Salutations Challenge.  The theme this week is flowers.  I used this great set called Winter Crocus.  I colored the image with copics and cut it out with a Spellbinders Die.  Then I framed it with a couple of layers of Spellbinders Die.  Even though this is several layers, it is still pretty CAS for me!  LOL!!  I actually had another purple layer under the top three layers and then remembered the whole CAS requirement of this challenge!!!  Sometimes cards just take on a life of their own!

Anyway, so glad you stopped in!  Hope you come back soon!

Surprise Randi!!!!!

Good morning friends!
A very special lady is celebrating a birthday today!
So glad you could join us for our little surprise birthday hop!

Randi Barrett is one of the finest ladies I know.  When I read the scripture on my card, Randi's face is one that comes to mind.  She is truly a Godly woman and I am so blessed to know her. Even with all that she has been through, and what she is continuing to go through, she remains steadfast in her faith.  She has a wonderful sense of humor too!  What an inspiration she is!  Randi has been through several bouts of cancer already and is in the midst of another battle right now.  Please include her in your prayers, if you will.  We thank you for hopping with us and praying for her today.

For the complete hop list, head over to the ODBD Blog and start from there.  If you arrived here from Betty's Blog, you are in the right place!

I used two sets for this card:

Scripture Collection 4

 and Two Step Butterfly

The Proverb is cut out with a Spellbinders Oval and framed with a Spellbinders Custom ODBD Elegant Ovals Die.  And I made the pretty bow with Becca's Peg Bow Maker!!!

Randi, I hope you have the most fabulous birthday ever!!!!!  Love ya!!!

Your next stop on the hop is Connie!!!
 See you again soon!

Bless You Sweet Kitten

Hi there!  Playing in a few challenges today!

This sweet image is part of the ODBD Cat Sympathy Set.  It is colored with Copics and cut out with a Spellbinders Circle.  The frame around the kitten is the ODBD Crocheted Circle Custom Die.  It coordinates with the Serve the Lord Set.  I used one of this months new releases, Bookmarks-Prayers, for the sentiment.  I masked the sentiment from the rest of the stamp.  I did lots of sponging and added gorgeous lace and strings of pearls that a sweet DT sister sent to me!  I used a white paint pen for the dots and sprayed the card with Clam Bake Glimmer Mist to make it complete.

This is for the following challenges:

CAS183-Sketch
F4A130-Combo Loco (I used the sponging technique with the CAS challenge)

Here are the sets I used:

Thank you so much for visiting today!  Come back soon!

Faith Bookmark Pocket Card

Hi everyone!  I needed to relieve some stress tonight so spent some time in my craft room after my sweet MIL went to bed.  I really should be asleep but oh well!  I made this for the sketch challenge on SCS and for Word Art Wednesday.   I used two of the new releases from ODBD.  Bookmark-Birds and Bookmark-Verses.  I love that you can cut these bookmarks out with the Custom Spellbinders Bookmark Dies!  I used Becca's Peg Bow Maker to make the pretty seam binding bow too!!!!

Ok gotta go to bed now!  See you again soon!

A Family Bible

Hi there!  We have had a rough few days here.  Had my mother in law in the hospital for some tests but all is better now.  We brought her home today and she is resting happily in her chair!  I wanted to show you a couple of bookmarks I made a couple of weeks ago.  Please let me apologize for the awful photos.  Night time photos can be hard to edit sometimes and I never had a moment to do a re-take.  Can you see the family record page behind the bookmarks?  I love reading through this and enjoy seeing the old penmanship.

The bible belonged to my husband's grandfather.  He was born in 1901.  He must have been given this bible in 1930 because he signed it and dated it in the front, July 20, 1930.  I would love to know the story.

I used two of the new releases from Our Daily Bread designs:

and

along with

What a quick and easy way to create sweet little gifts for your family and friends!

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope you are having a great week!

Solitary Tree

Today's Mark's Finest Papers Simple Salutations Challenge is to have a garden theme but not use flowers.  So I used one of the trees in the Walk in the Woods set to create this simple and peaceful card.  Just cut a Spellbinders Oval frame, added the sentiment and the little bow made from twine.

Enjoyed having you stop by today!  See you again soon!

With Our Thanks

Good morning!
Popping is quickly to share this card I made for today's

Today's twist is to use some type of material on your card.  I used a piece of burlap on the banner.  I used the Walk in the Woods set, using the little cat.  I used Glossy Accents over the cat.  The birdcage is cut with a Memory box die and I added some Martha flowers and some pearls.  Three tiny little bows made with crochet thread complete my card.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a wonderful day!

SpeedyTV-Simple Salutations Challenge

Good morning!
I made this card for the Mark's Finest Papers Speedy TV Simple Salutations challenge today!  Each week the challenge is to make a CAS card according to the theme and include a sentiment as your salutation.  This week's theme is butterfly.  I have used the MFP set called A Walk in the Woods.  I inked the tree up with Always Artichoke ink and stamped it three times.  Added the strip of designer paper and then lined up the sentiment.  Finished the card with the scalloped muslin and a tiny pearled butterfly.  Thanks so much for stopping by!  Hope you have a great day and we will see you again soon!

Peace Be With You

Good morning!!!
I have some exciting news to share!  I have been invited to be a guest designer for Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co.!  For the month of August I will be guesting for the Tuesday Sketch with a Twist and for the Wednesday Simple Salutations challenges!

The twist is to use flowers on your creation.

So for my card today, I used the set called A Walk in the Woods.  The designer paper in the background is embossed with a Cuttlebug folder called Baby's Breath.  I added a pretty butterfly with pearls and a bow that is way too big for the card!  LOL!!!  I made this kind of late last night and now this morning I am looking at it with new eyes!  Ah well, it is what it is!!!

Thanks for this opportunity Debbie and Karen!

Cameo Love

I've been trying my best to play in some the Dare to Get Dirty challenges over at Splitcoast Stampers.  You have to be a FanClub Member to play so I can't give specifics of the challenges.  Why not join the Fan Club to see what all the fuss is about?  It's not expensive, about the same as a 1 year subscription to a magazine and tons more inspiration!

This card features the new ODBD Faith Hope & Love set!
I stamped in black and then over stamped in pink.

The beautiful papers and flowers and blue cameo were gifts from a dear friend!  Aren't they gorgeous?  I masked the word Love from the new ODBD set called Scripture Bookmarks for my little oval tag.

Thanks for stopping in!  See you again soon!

Now…on to my creation…..

I made this card with the Scripture Bookmarks Set.  I stamped it on some beautiful Prima Meadowlark paper and cut it out with the Spellbinders Custom Bookmark Die.  I cut another bookmark out of card stock and adhered the two together with my ATG gun for a little more stability.  (Have I mentioned lately how much I love my ATG gun?)  I cut a flower out of the designer paper and shaped it before gluing it to the top.  The bookmark is tucked into the border and attached with removable Glue Dots to keep it in place until the recipient can remove it for use. I used some pretty seam binding and some gorgeous blue lace that one of my sweet DT sisters sent to me!!!   (mmmwwwaaaaaaaah, sweet sister!)

I have one more to share...

This one is sweet and simple.
I stamped the Psalm from the set called Bookmark-Prayers onto Prima Pixie Glen paper and then attached it to a bookmark cut out with the other Spellbinders Custom Bookmark Die
Just attached a pretty ribbon to finish this one!

Thanks so much for joining us today!  We love it when you hop with us!!!
