Four More Dirty Challenges!

Hi everyone!  Here are four more projects I made for the Dare to Get Dirty Challenges on Splitcoast!  This first one is one of those little pocket New Testaments that I covered with designer paper and this wonderful scripture from Our Daily Bread designs Scripture Collection 4!  I added a little ribbon bookmark too!

And here is a Lindt chocolate bar that I covered.  Just added a pretty bow and the birthday tag!  Easy!!

I have had this little band-aid box for a couple of years now and finally altered it thanks to one of the dirty challenges!  Yay!!!  Wouldn't all the above projects make a cute little gift for someone?  You could fill the band-aid box with candy or money or a gift card or... band-aids...LOL!

Here is the last one I am showing today!  The little flowers are cut out and attached with glue dots for a little dimension.  The last three projects use the StampinUp! set called Happy Moments.
All projects use SU! cardstock and designer papers.

Here are all of the challenges I used:

CHA CHA CHA...Wait, I Mean...ELVIS!!!!

Hi everyone!!!  It's Be Inspired Wednesday and we at the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog
are celebrating CHA this week!  Since most of us can't really be at CHA we decided to go
with a musical theme.  CHA CHA CHA!!!  And really, wasn't Elvis just an incredible singer?!
I decided to go with a simple layout and color scheme on this card.
Black and white with just a touch of blue.
The background was embossed with the Provocraft Cuttlebug Embossing Allegro Folder #37-1641.
I stamped Elvis and the sweet sentiment both by Cornish Heritage Farms with Stazon black ink, cut it out and layered it with
Spellbinders Ovals.  I added ribbon, thread and a musical charm.
And then just for fun, I added a tiny rhinestone in the letter 'o' of the sentiment!
To see more musical inspiration, go check out the Be Inspired Wednesday creations at the
Cuttlebug Challenge Blog!   We love having you visit!
Hope you have a wonderful week and see you soon!

Proverbs 31:30

Good morning!  I am so excited to show you this fun little project today!  Altering things around the house that I have saved for years is becoming one of my favorite things to do.  The frame on this particular plaque was originally a blue color and the design was cute but I wanted an updated look.
I painted the frame using several colors of acrylic paint in creams and browns.
Then I sprayed it with a brown Glimmer Mist color and sort of wiped it off a little.

Then for the background, I embossed the designer paper with one of the new cuttlebug folders in the Preserves collection and sponged it with Tim Holtz ink.  I attached it to the plaque with Mod Podge.
I then attached a piece of a doily, a piece of lace and a piece of velvet ribbon with glue.
I sponged this a little bit too to dirty it up a bit!
The little flower is actually several prima flowers glued together.
My DT sister Patter showed us how to do this on her blog!
Thanks Patter!

I chose to use the scripture that I submitted for the Scripture Collection 4 set!  When I read it, it reminds me to strighten up!!!  LOL!  Seriously, I love this scripture and was honored to have been able to have it made into a stamp!  Thank you for that Kelley!  I stamped it with Versamark and Memento Brown ink and clear embossed it.  I cut it out and layered it with Spellbinders circles and framed this with the Spellbinders Lotus Die!  I added the button and Zva pearls to finish it up!

And that's it!  I really appreciate y'all taking the time to visit with me today!  We invite you to join us for our monthly blog hop this coming Sunday the 1st.  You are gonna love the new sets coming out for August!

Good Morning to you!!! Hope you are enjoying our Christmas in July Festival over at the
Cuttlebug Challenge Blog!
We have been having so much fun bringing you different projects every day!
I promised on Friday that you would see the card to match my little scrapling and here it is!

The finished size is 4 1/4 x 4 1/4. I have a layer of red under a layer of white that is embossed with the Provo Craft Cuttlebug Holly Ribbons Embossing Folder #37-1927. I stamped the sentiment from the Our Daily Bread designs set called Peace and Joy and cut it out with a Spellbinders Oval and Scalloped Oval. Then I added the snowflakes from Provo Craft Cuttlebug Die 2x2 Snowflake #2 #37-1538. I added glitter and red rhinestones to each snowflake. Then I finished the card with wide red ribbon. The bow is made with a Bow Easy.

Now for the challenge!

1. Make a Holiday card, any size, using mostly white and just one other color.
2. Add something glittery! (Glitter, Glimmer Mist, Rhinestones, etc.)
3. Have fun!!!

Christmas Scrapling

Good Morning!!!!  This week's Christmas Festival in July at the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog is going strong!  Today is my day to share a fun little way to make a gift tag for your Christmas gifts.  It's called a scrapling and you can use this idea all throughout the year.  It's so easy and a great way to use up all those little scraps too!

One sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock will make the bases for two 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 square cards and two 1 1/4 x 4 1/4 scraplings.  Just cut your cardstock in half to make two regular 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 card bases.  Go ahead and score the fold in your cards.  Then cut a 1 1/4 strip off of one end.

Now you are ready to create your projects.  Two cards, two scraplings!  One thing about this size greeting card is that it will fit inside a regular envelope rather than needing a square envelope.  Saves you money on envelopes and postage!  Every little bit helps!

The scrapling I made matches a card you will see on Sunday for one of our Christmas Around the Clock challenges.  Hope you will join us for more Christmas in July Cuttlebug Fun!  I added a layer of red and then a layer of white embossed with the Provocraft Cuttlebug Holly Ribbons Embossing Folder #37-1927.  The word Joy is masked from a set called Peace and Joy from Our Daily Bread designs and is cut out and matted with a Spellbinders circle and scalloped circle die.  The snowflakes are Provocraft Cuttlebug
Die 2x2 Snowflake #2 #37-1538.  I added glitter and red rhinestones and attached to the scrapling.  I punched a hole at the top and threaded ribbon through to finish the tag!

Well, what do you think?  Fun?  I hope you enjoyed this little project and that you are inspired to create these for your gifts during the holidays and all through the year!  Thanks for joining me today and hope you have a wonderful day!

I sponged everything with Tim Holtz Antique Linen Distress Ink.
All cardstock and designer paper is from SU!  The Martha butterflies, branches and
Zva pearls finish the card!  Oh and the bow was done with my Bow Easy!

Christmas In July Cuttlebug Style!

This week at the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog, we are cooling off from these hot summer temperatures by celebrating Christmas!  All week, we have fun things to share with you!
Today, is our weekly Be Inspired challenge and we have a sketch challenge for you!
This sketch was created by fellow DT, Diane!
What a great sketch!  For my card, I used a pretty pale blue cardstock piece
from Core'dinations and ran it through my Cuttlebug with the
I sanded it so the pretty blue would show through.  The stamp set I have used is called
Peace & Joy from Our Daily Bread designs.  The snowflake is trimmed very closely
and I also cut out a little from areas in the center.  A couple of more little tidbits about this card,
the pearls were originally white and I colored them with Copic marker #100.
The bottom strip for the sentiment is actually what fell off after cutting the Spellbinder Grand Lace Border.  And lastly, I sprayed the whole thing with Pearl Glimmer Mist!

We hope you will join us at the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog for today's challenge
and for the rest of this week for more Christmas In July fun!

Cuttlebug Challenge #91

Good morning!  Happy Wednesday!
This week at the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog
we are challenging you to use doilies and lace on your projects!
I chose to use a crocheted doily I had purchased years ago for something or other and had never used!
It was still attached to the store tag!  Since this is one that was not crocheted by someone in my family, I didn't feel bad about cutting it up for this card.  I attached it with Beacon's 3-in-1 Glue.
I layered the lace on top of that and then the gingham ribbon on top of that.
All pieces were sponged to give it that aged look.
The scripture is from a stamp set from Our Daily Bread designs
I embossed the sheet of My Mind's Eye Designer Paper with the

Here are the supplies I used:

Crocheted Lace and Doily
