Sympathy and Strength

I've got a quick post this morning.  Three cards but a quick post!!
I needed a couple of sympathy cards recently and so made this one and this one:

Both of these cards are made with ODBD stamps (Full of Grace-Pray and With Heartfelt Sympathy) and K & Co designer paper.  The designer paper is embossed with a SU! embossing folder.  The tulips are paper toled on the first card.  And I used an EK Success border punch on the second one.

This card is made with the ODBD's Butterfly corner and the Faith set released this month.  I colored the image with SU! inks and the aligator clip tool.  I added lots of stickles to the butterfly and then added the rhinestone swirls.  The card stock is Regal Rose, Chocolate Chip.  Also, used Neenah Cream card stock.  A quick and easy card from me!!!  Thanks for stopping by!  Don't forget that tomorrow is ODBD's February release day hop!!  See you there!

ODBD Sneak Peek Y'all!

Hi there!  I have a little sneak peek for you today!  Our Daily Bread designs has more wonderful stamps coming out on the first and this masculine Anchor set is one of them!  Don't we all need more masculine sets?  I know I do!  I colored the image with copic markers and highlighted the water with a white gel pen.  I cut it out and layered it with Spellbinders dies and added little Spellbinders Fancy Tag ends to the edges. I was able to cut all the pieces with the Spellbinders Grand Calibur which helped make this part quick and easy.  For the background I embossed a piece of My Mind's Eye Kraft paper with a Sissix folder and layered it with a piece of Bordering Blue card stock.  Then I sewed a piece of netting over the top!  Yes, I said sewed!  With a sewing machine!  I am still practicing, LOL!!!  Then it was just a matter of putting it all together.  The base card is Not Quite Navy card stock which helps make this card perfect for the Our Daily Bread designs Shining the Light challenge to use mostly blues.  This is also for the SCS Inspiration challenge inspired by Rooms by Zoya B.  Thanks for stopping by!  Hope you all have a great day!

i-rock LOVE

Good morning!!!  Thanks for stopping by today!

I have a couple of cards to show you that I made for the Passionately Artistic Blog!
I recently received a wonderful little tool called  i-rock by Imaginisce and it is so cool to play with!

It's a tool that heats up the bling to help make it stick to your projects!
It comes with a little stencil guide for perfect placement which is very handy.
I used the square frame stencil on the card above with sparkly and white bling.

I added bling to this card without using a stencil guide.  This is a very versatile tool and I plan to use it quite often.  It is battery operated and does get pretty hot so it is important to never leave it unattended especially around children.  You also want to be certain of your placement because these little blingies are not coming off!!  But no more worries of the bling falling off while being mailed.  LOVE that!!!

Hope you like my projects today!  Have a great week!

Here are the other supplies I used on the cards above:

House Mouse stamp and StampinUp! stamp
Neenah White card stock
Martha Stewart designer Paper
Cuttlebug Folders and Corner die
Copic Markers
Spellbinders dies and StampinUp! Punches
Lace, ribbon and ric rac
Distressing tool
Memento ink and Tim Holtz Distress ink

Faithful Butterflies

Hi there!  Thanks for stopping in tonight!
I have another card to show you that I made using a sketch challenge at Christian Paper Crafts!

The stamps are from one of this month's releases by Our Daily Bread designs called Faith.  I colored the image with copics and then cut out three rectangles with a Spellbinders die and my Grand Calibur. I stamped the sentiment before running the Prima designer paper through my Cuttlebug with Cassie's Brocade folder.  The base card is Regal Rose card stock.  I added the seam binding and the butterfly charm and then the pearls.  It didn't feel complete though, so after pondering over it for a little while, I cut out three more butterflies, attached them with glue dots and covered them with pink stickles!

Thanks again for stopping by!  Have a wonderful evening!

100% Authentic!

Good morning everyone!  I hope you are doing great!

The Passionately Artistic Team has some fun things going on today!  It's a Girls Night In Party! I made this card using a really cool sticker sheet from Cosmo Cricket!   As you can see, my artsy side took over a bit!  This wonderful designer paper from Basic Grey's Max and Whiskers collection was so fun to work with.  I love the colors!  I ran a piece of this through my Cuttlebug with an embossing folder from the Preserves collection and did the direct to paper technique on it with Tim Holtz Tea Dye ink.  And then I attached a piece of netting over that with rhinestone brads for an interesting texture.  I also cut out the two smaller Spellbinders birds from the same paper and cut the little beak off of the smaller one to make the wing which is attached with foam tape.  After that I just built the card up with lace and ribbon, prima flowers and clear rhinestones, the Cosmo Cricket stickers and the Cuttlebug corner embellishment.  I couldn't leave well enough alone though so I added the two little charms around the flowers with silver cord and then I put that cute little crown on Ms. Bird's little head!
This is definitely and card to hand over in person because it is heavy!
But it was fun to make anyway!  Hope you like it!
Thanks so much for stopping by!  I love having you visit so come back again soon!  Enjoy your week!!!

Faith

Hi!!!!  Hope you are having a great day!  I have two cards to show you today that I made with the new Our Daily Bread set called Faith from the Full of Grace collection!  This first one was an easy one!  The QuicKutz embossing folder did all the work!  I embossed the frame on Core'dinations card stock and sanded it to show the embossing.  I stamped the sentiment with Memento Brown ink onto Neenah Cream and then cut it out with a Spellbinders Oval.  The oval is popped up with foam tape.  Then I just added a Seam Binding Bow Easy bow, a little blue prima flower and tons of little pearls!  Easy!!!

This time I used the new Butterfly embossing plate that ODBD has come out with to coordinate with the stamp sets released this month!  I embossed a piece of StampinUp! designer paper and used the direct to paper method with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink to ink up the embossed areas.  I cut out the sentiment with a different Spellbinders Oval and matted it with a matching Spellbinders Scalloped Oval.  The border is done with Martha border punch.  Then I added the Bow Easy bow and pearls and flowers to complete this card!

Thanks for stopping by!  See you again soon!

Winging It!

Good morning!  Are you having a great day?  I hope so!
I am sharing this card I made which works for several challenges.

and

I've used two new sets from Our Daily Bread designs.  The Faith set from the Full of Grace Collection, and another Faith set with the pretty butterfly branch!  I started by embossing a piece of Prima designer paper with a Cuttlebug Preserves folder and sponging it with Tim Holtz Antique Linen ink.  I matted this with Blushing Bride card stock and distressed the edges.  Then I cut a piece of vellum the same size as the designer paper square.  I stamped the butterfly branch and colored it with SU! inks using the alligator clip tool and tiny cotton balls.  I attached the vellum with brads and then add the seam binding before attaching to the Neenah Cream base.  I stamped the sentiment, cut it out using my Spellbinders Grand Calibur die cut machine with a Spellbinders Oval and layered it with a Spellbinders Scalloped Oval and attached this to the card with foam tape.  Finally I added the pearls, a Bow Easy bow and a pretty little flower!

Thank you so much for stopping by!  Have a blessed day!

Altering Boxes is Fun!!!

Good morning!!!  I've got lots of photos in this post so hope you will hang with me through it all!!

Today is Wednesday, so the Passionately Artistic Blog is here to inspire you again this week!
I am showing you a set of cards and a pretty altered box!   See the little butterflies on the inside of the lid?
I altered a little box that originally came with a little photo album inside.  It's perfect for regular A2 sized cards.  I did make two little barriers on either end to keep the cards from sliding around.

I tied some pretty lace around the cards and envelopes too!
Here is a look at the inside of the box without the cards.
I did lots of sponging with Tea Dye ink to age everything.
I used a combination of Beacon 3-in-1 glue, Scor-Tape, Mod Podge,
and Scotch adhesive glue to attach everything.
And here are the cards!
They will be great for birthdays or thinking of you cards.

I hope I have inspired you to create your own altered box and cards!  It's really a lot of fun!
Hope you have a wonderful day and see you again soon!  Thanks for stopping by!

Be Inspired Wednesdays are Back!

Good morning!  Today is the first Wednesday of 2011 and the Passionately Artistic Team is back with our Be Inspired Wednesdays!  We had the choice of Thank You Cards, Get Well Soon Cards, College Bound Care Packages and Snow Bound Themes.  I chose a thank you card since I needed one to send to someone who gave me a very nice gift for Christmas.  I needed it to be masculine, so this one is lots more clean and simple than my usual cards.  And do you see that pretty navy lace?  LOVE it!  This was in a box of lace and ribbon treasures recently given to me by a sweet friend!  Not too girly for a masculine card I hope!!

Here are the supplies I used:

StampinUp! stamp set called Kind and Caring Thoughts
SU! Night of Navy card stock
Cream card stock
Paper Studio Designer Paper
Sissix Embossing Folder and Cuttlebug Machine
Spellbinders Ovals and Scalloped Oval and Grand Calibur Machine
Stazon Brown ink and Tim Holtz Tea Dye ink
Navy Lace
SU! Night of Navy ribbon and Bow Easy Tool

Thanks so much for coming by today!  Enjoy your day and come back soon!

Hello there!  Hope you are doing well!!
Christmas is over and now it's full speed ahead into 2011!!
I have been playing and I am entering this card into five challenges!

and

1 Card stocks
2 Designer paper
3 Cuttlebug embossing on designer paper
4 Lace
5 Seam Binding
7 Spellbinders Oval Die
8 Stickles
9 Pink Pearl swirls with flowers
10 Large White Pearls
11 Pearl Glimmer Mist

This butterfly and sentiment are from new Our Daily Bread designs sets called Butterfly Single and Faith.  The designer paper is Webster's Pages and is embossed with the Cassie's Folder embossing folder.  I used Tim Holtz Tea Dye ink to stain the designer paper, the lace and seam binding and the die cuts.  I also used an alligator clip with cotton balls to color the butterfly with Blush Blossom and Mellow Moss inks.  Then I 'painted' the butterfly and the peacock in the designer paper with three colors of stickles: Diamond, Cotton Candy and Lavender.  Can you say sparkly?   LOL!!!

Thanks for visiting and hope you have a great day!!!

Oh and by the way, Our Daily Bread designs has kicked off a
new monthly challenge starting today!

Happy New Year! Welcome to the ODBD January Release Day Hop!!!

Good Morning!!!  Happy New Year to all of you!

So glad you are here with us today!
If you arrived here from my sweet and talented DT sister Chris' blog, then you are on the right path.  If not,  please go to the Our Daily Bread designs blog and begin the hop from there!  If any links are broken along the way, the entire list of designers will be there in the order of the hop.  The hop will last until January 2nd at 8 pm EST.  Kelley is generously offering five prizes of the choice of one set this month!!!!  WooHoo!!!  All you need to do is leave a comment on each designer's blog, then return to the ODBD blog and leave another comment letting us know that you completed the hop, left comments(if you have trouble on one of the blogs just include that info in your comment), and also answer the question that will be on the ODBD blog post!  Have fun!!!

Here is my card!

Daytime Photo:

Night time Photo

LOL!  I couldn't decide which photo to use!!!  Anyway, I stamped all of the images onto K & Co designer paper, with Versamark ink and Memento Black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I colored a second butterfly with with one of those tools with the clips on each end and tiny cotton balls (not sure what that's called!) with SU! Regal Rose and Mellow Moss inks.  Then I cut it out with the new butterfly die so I could layer it over the original image.  My new Spellbinders Grand Calibur made things easy for me since I could cut the Spellbinders small oval and scalloped oval, the square and the eyelet square all at the same time!!!  Love it, love it!!!  I twisted and laced pink organdy ribbon through the eyelets and tied the bow adding a snip of lace.  The background layer attached to the Neenah Cream base is the other side of the designer paper and is embossed with one of the folders from the Cuttlebug Preserves Collection.  I sponged almost all the edges with Tim Holtz ink and sprayed the whole thing with Vintage Pink Glimmer Mist.  The pearl on the butterfly was the final touch!

Ok, now hop on over to Connie's blog to see her amazing creation!!!

Thank you so much for joining us today!  May your 2011 be full of wonderful blessings!!!
