Thankful for Stencilled Backgrounds!

Hello there!
I haven't used my copic air brush system in FOREVER!
And now I have rediscovered it and I LOVE it!!!
lol

Today, I have a card made with some of the new and some of the old goodies

Recently, I cut a piece of thin plastic packaging with the Boho Background die to create a stencil that I can used over and over.  I air brushed using the stencil to create the background and cut the panel out with a Lavish Layers die.  I then stamped the image from Seeds of Today and colored in areas with more copics that match the beautiful Plum Pizzazz and Whimsical Flowers Paper.  The Thanks die cut is adhered to a Double Stitched Pennant which is popped up over the main image.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your day!

So Berry Sweet!

Good morning!  Today, the ODBD designers are taking a look back at our August release!  Such fun sets to play with!  Who doesn't like being blessed with a bountiful garden!!!   Today, my card features the Garden Minis set and the Strawberries set!  I am using the sketch from the ODBDSLC166 this week.  I am also entering this to the Word Art Wednesday challenge #93-Anything Goes (with scripture or encouraging word).  I colored the mini basket of strawberries with copics.  The scalloped circle die cuts are from the ODBD/Spellbinders Recipe Card and Tags dies and the background is the ODBD/Spellbinders Quatrefoil Pattern die.  I made a frame with Spellbinders A-2 Matting Basics dies (using Scor-Tape to adhere the background to the frame) and the bow was made with Becca's Peg Bow Maker.  I then added the button to finish the card!  One thing I don't mention much is that I use my Scor-Buddy at least once for EVERY single card I make!  I love having that little tool right at my fingertips!

Here are the August sets I used:

You can see more inspiration from the team here HERE or I have linked each designer below!

With Our Thanks

Good morning!
Popping is quickly to share this card I made for today's

Today's twist is to use some type of material on your card.  I used a piece of burlap on the banner.  I used the Walk in the Woods set, using the little cat.  I used Glossy Accents over the cat.  The birdcage is cut with a Memory box die and I added some Martha flowers and some pearls.  Three tiny little bows made with crochet thread complete my card.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a wonderful day!

Thanks!

Hello everyone!  I made this for the Passionately Artistic Blog!  This is a place where you can link up your latest projects to get a little more exposure.  We would love for you to join us!

I used the following challenges at SCS:

CT0612-Diamonds and Pearls (This is only for Fan Club members, so join!)

I used a new ODBD set called Thank You Sentiments.  I colored the little picnic basket with copics and used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the sentiment along the side.  I inked only part of the sentiment with a black SU! marker before stamping.  The bow was made with Becca's Peg Bow Maker and glued down with Beacon 3-in-1 glue.  I added a little bling to the butterflies to complete the card.

Here is another card I made with a new set from ODBD:

This set is called Crown of Thorns and is just so awesome!  I kept this one really clean and simple, just adding the charm with some twine with a little Beacon glue!

So glad you stopped by today!
Before you go, I wanted to let you know that ODBD is having two huge stamp set sales!

and

Hurry and save today!  The sale lasts until Saturday, June 30, 2012!

See you again soon!

Canvas Butterflies

Hi there! Thank you so much for stopping by!

I made this for the Passionately Artistic Blog and for The Shabby Tea Room!  The theme in the Tea Room is Sweet Summertime along with either pink, aqua, brown  or teal.  I started with some pretty Prima designer paper, layering several pieces with lace and pretty seam binding.  I used Becca's Peg Bow Maker to create the gorgeous bow!  I stamped the sentiment form the new Our Daily Bread designs set called Thank You Sentiments and then framed it with a little frame that is spritzed with Vintage Pink Glimmer Mist.  The canvas butterflies are Prima and are also spritzed with the Glimmer Mist.  I sponged a little brown distress ink on the frame and papers and butterflies for a shabby look.  Just added the pearl flourish and the buttons to complete the card!

Hope you have a wonderful week!

Thankful Chickadee

Hey y'all!  Hope you are enjoying your weekend!

I have another CAS card to show you tonight!  Let's just say I am practicing this method of card making!  I used this adorable chickadee from Our Daily Bread designs from the set called You Will Find Refuge.  I just recently got the matching Chickadee die and finally had some time to play with it!  I started with a base card using Core'dinations card stock.  The background layer is a sheet from a My Mind's Eye Kraft paper pack.  I stamped the sentiment which is from the newly released Large Scrapbook Words set also from ODBD.  The chickadee is stamped onto Core'dinations and lightly colored with copic markers.  I did some sponging, then glued the lace and buttons on.  I attached the chickadee with foam tape and then sprayed the card with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist!  I am learning...

I am entering this into four challenges:

Thanks for stopping by!  I really enjoy your visits!

Kind Words are the Flowers

Hi everyone!  Here is another card with a new stamp from Our Daily Bread designs called Kind Hearts!  Such a great sentiment to use for a special thank you!  The background is embossed with the Cuttlebug Victoria folder.  The lace is vintage (love my vintage lace, courtesy of Mom!).  I punched all those little flowers with a SU! punch and smooshed them into a piece of foam with a stylus to make them perk up!  LOL!
These are all glued to a Spellbinders Lacey Rectangle surrounding the sentiment.  I added pink stickles to each flower center.  The bow was made with a Bow Easy and I added little Martha twigs behind the bow!
Thanks for stopping by!  Hope you have a great night!

Bella Bugs

Good morning!

If you are here for the Our Daily Bread designs Blog Hop that began yesterday and ends tonight at 8 PM,
scroll to the next post or just click HERE.

Today is another Be Inspired Wednesday at Passionately Artistic!  I made this card for someone who recently asked me to make a Thank You card, with flowers, ladybugs, and lots of pink.
I think I did it!!!  LOL!

The base card is Neenah White.  The designer paper is K&Company and is embossed with a StampinUp! folder.  I layered this with SU! Pink Pirouette card stock that is punched on one end with an EKSuccess lacy punch.  The SU! Bella Blossom is stamped three times with Regal Rose and Always Artichoke ink so that I could cut out the flower and leaves for a 3-D effect.  I used the retired SU! set, Bugs and Slugs for the little lady bug.  She is stamped randomly three times and then colored in with a red copic marker.  I added Diamond Glaze to each little ladybug.  I cut the sentiment out with a Spellbinders oval and layered with Spellbinders Scalloped oval and then again on a Spellbinders Fancy Tag!  I threaded pink satin ribbon through the fancy tag and then added some sparkle to the card!  Oh yeah, I used a Spellbinders Scallop Square to layer behind the flower panel!  Almost forgot that!!
Well, thanks again for stopping by!  Enjoy your day!!!

Be Inspired Wednesdays are Back!

Good morning!  Today is the first Wednesday of 2011 and the Passionately Artistic Team is back with our Be Inspired Wednesdays!  We had the choice of Thank You Cards, Get Well Soon Cards, College Bound Care Packages and Snow Bound Themes.  I chose a thank you card since I needed one to send to someone who gave me a very nice gift for Christmas.  I needed it to be masculine, so this one is lots more clean and simple than my usual cards.  And do you see that pretty navy lace?  LOVE it!  This was in a box of lace and ribbon treasures recently given to me by a sweet friend!  Not too girly for a masculine card I hope!!

Here are the supplies I used:

StampinUp! stamp set called Kind and Caring Thoughts
SU! Night of Navy card stock
Cream card stock
Paper Studio Designer Paper
Sissix Embossing Folder and Cuttlebug Machine
Spellbinders Ovals and Scalloped Oval and Grand Calibur Machine
Stazon Brown ink and Tim Holtz Tea Dye ink
Navy Lace
SU! Night of Navy ribbon and Bow Easy Tool

Thanks so much for coming by today!  Enjoy your day and come back soon!

Be Inspired Wednesday #71

Hi everyone!!  Are you all ready for another fun challenge?  This week's challenge over at the Cuttlebug Challenge Blogspot is all about stitching!!!  The Design Team has some gorgeous inspiration to help get you inspired!  Please play along with us!  And while you are visiting the blog, add your name to the followers list!  We are on a mission to 4000 followers!   Maggie and the team always have something to show you to spark your creativity!  And we love having you all join in!!!

This week's Cuttlebug Challenge Blogspot sponsor is Crop Stop!!!  Are you passionate about scrapbooking memories and paper-crafting projects? CropStop is your one-stop solution. CropStop offers an extensive selection of paper-crafting tools, dies, ribbons, embellishments and embossing folders from the most popular manufacturers. They have recently become the only US store to sell Crafts Too embossing folders and are proud to be one of the few stores with the exclusive European Cuttlebug embossing folders. CropStop also carries an array of storage solutions to keep everything organized. Their selection of accents and adhesives is continually expanding and they're the home of the colorful Ribbon Candy™.

For my card today, I used both sides of a piece of K&Co designer paper.  I simply used my piercing tool to place holes along the stems and flowers design on the paper.  Then I used DMC floss to do my stitching.  A long time ago, before scrapbooking and cardmaking took control of my life,  I did quite a bit of cross stitching and embroidery so I have lots of floss that I haven't used in years!  I cut out several other flowers so that I could layer them for dimension.  The flower centers are french knots!  That was always one of my favorite things in embroidery!!!  I love the sweet homespun look that stitching gives to a project.  Can you believe I didn't use any stamps for this card? Anyway, come join us, we would love to have you!  Have a great Wednesday!!!
Here are the supplies I used for this card:

Neenah paper for the base card
K&Co designer paper
Cuttlebug Damask Combo, With Gratitude Combo and Butterflies Combo
Pearls
DMC floss
Sponges and Piercing Tool
SU! ribbon and Sage Shadow and Ruby Red Inks
Copic marker

Purple Thanks

Happy Friday night all! Well, this has been a stamper's dream week for me! Thank you God for this because my week otherwise was not so fun. But I am going to focus on the wonderful gifts He has given me this week!

First of all, I received the new Our Daily Bread designs sets for November and they are so gorgeous! I've already shown a couple of peeks, but please come back on Sunday to join our blog hop fun and new challenge! Then I found out that I had won one of the random prizes from the Midnight Madness Blog Hop!!! Thanks ladies!!! I also won a Taylored Expression stamp set from the Stampin ' Sisters in Christ Blog! Wow! Thank you all too!

And last but certainly not least, I was asked to guest design with the Midnight Madness Team during the month of November! Now is that a cool week or what?!!! I am still pinching myself!!!

So, I made this card for the Ways to Use It Challenge to use purple and for the Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge this week to make a card expressing my thankfulness for someone or something they have done. The scripture reference is this:

I Chronicles 16:34
“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
his love endures forever.”
(NIV)

I used Almost Amethyst and Lavender Lace with Black and White. I scored a lattice pattern with my scor-pal. I layered several spellbinders diecuts, sponged the white circle while still inside the die. The images are from a stamp set by Inkadinkado called Fancy That. I outlined the sentiment and colored the butterflies with copic markers. I added lots of rhinestones and then sprayed it all with Glimmer Mist!

I thank you all for visiting with me regularly
and leaving me such sweet, wonderful comments!
I am thankful for YOU!

Featured Stamper Christmas and Playing With New Toys!

Today's Featured Stamper is Kelly (aka Schirmcat)! She is so talented and so sweet! I chose this pretty Christmas card to case today! I used Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and Winter Snowflakes masks to create the bottom portion of my background. On the top portion I used the same mist but used a Tim Holtz mask and added the Spellbinders Grand Classic Lace border instead of real lace. I stamped Baroque Motif at the top with ODBD Victorian Rose ink. The sentiment is from the Joy to the World set by Our Daily Bread designs. I added Pretty in Pink ribbon, Martha's snowflake and brads to finish the card! Thanks Kelly for inspiring me today!

Stamps-SU! Baroque Motif, ODBD Joy to the World
Paper-Sahara Sand, Pretty in Pink
Ink-Memento Brown, ODBD Victorian Rose
Accessories-PIP ribbon, brads, Spellbinders die, cuttlebug, MS punch, corner rounder, glimmer mist and masks

For this next card, I made my own designer paper, again using Glimmer Mist and masks!

I am so hooked on this stuff! I then stamped the background with the Aviary stamp set from BasicGrey. I did a little sponging around the edges too. Then I added the Spellbinder lace border and ribbon and pearls. The sentiment square is cut out with nesties and stamped with a rose from that same set using ODBD Olive ink and Victorian Rose ink. The sentiment is a partial from SU! God's Blessings set.

Stamps-BasicGrey Aviary set, SU! God's Blessings
Ink-Memento Brown, ODBD Olive and Victorian Rose
Accessories-Glimmer Mist and masks, Spellbinders, border and nesties dies, cuttlebug, ribbon, pearls
