Happy Birthday Kelley!

Good morning!  So excited to have you with us today!

We are celebrating the birthday of our very own Kelley!  She is truly a wonderful person and I am so honored to have had the privilege of being on her team these last few years!

Here is a photo taken at the Heirloom Rubber Stamp Show in February of this year here in Georgia!

Left to Right: Julie Warner, Sherry Kushibab, Me, and Kelley Holland

Now back to my card:

Kelley loves pink and purple and dragonflies!  The purple background has an overlay of the ODBD Custom Quatrefoil Pattern Die.  Then I colored the images with copics and cut them out.  The images are from Faithful Friend and Don't Worry.  The dragonfly image has stickles on it and is attached to the flower and swirl from the ODBD Custom Fancy Foliage Die.  The scripture is cut out with ODBD Custom Elegant Oval and is layered over the ODBD Antique Labels and Borders Die!  I made the pretty bow with Becca's Peg Bow Maker and attached a pink brad I found in my forgotten stash of goodies!

Here are the ODBD supplies I used:

I made a little tag using a quote from the Bicycle set.

This tag would be great for a friend or loved one's birthday!  The tag is made with a piece of chipboard from some packaging.  I covered it with some pretty Prima papers and then distress and sponged the edges for that aged look.  I added lace and pearls, a pretty canvas butterfly, some seam binding and ribbon and a cute little wooden bicycle embellishment!  Oh and a bouquet of flowers too!!!

Now head on over to see what the fabulous Angie has created to share with you today!!!

Refresh the Soul

Hi everyone!  Here is another card I made with one of the new ODBD March releases, called Sweet Friendship.  I stamped the scripture and cut it out with Spellbinders Antique Frame die.  The background is designer paper embossed with a Cuttlebug Preserves folder.  I painted the background and the frame with pink acrylic paint!  Kind of an interesting look!  I added lace and pink roses to complete the card!

This is for the following challenges:

Go Often

Hi there!  Happy Spring!  Hoping it is nice and warm where you are!

I have another card that I made using the quote I chose to go in one of the new ODBD anniversary sets!  The quote is by Emerson and is included in the Quote Collection 2 set.  I stamped it on Prima designer paper and cut it out with a Spellbinders Labels 4.  The same designer paper is behind the Cheery Lynn Designs Lattice.  I sponged the edges of the label and the lattice layer with SU! Blush Blossom ink.  Then I added Cheery Lynn Designs Flourish and Butterfly.  Next I added some Prima Flowers over a Bow Easy bow and some pretty pearls.  I sprayed the card with glimmer mist too!

I am entering this to the following challenges:

The Passionately Artistic Team would like to invite you to link your latest project to the Passionately Artistic Blog.

In My Heart

Hi there!!!  I made this for the SCS TLC today!  The challenge was to crop your image to fit your design.  I sort of did this with the Out of the Box technique.  Stamp and color your image (I used copics) and trim part of it to where you want the die to cut.  I used Spellbinders circles.  The stamps are from ODBD.  The bird image is from the Sing to the Lord set and the scripture is from the new set called Sweet Friendship.  I used Prima designer paper and DCWV designer paper.  I added circles of pearls, a button, crochet thread and glimmer mist.  Oh and a white paint pen too!!!  Thanks so much for looking!  Hope you have a wonderful evening!

Happy 4th Anniversary ODBD!!!

Good morning and welcome to the
Our Daily Bread designs 4th Anniversary Special Design Team Edition Release Blog Hop!
If you got here from Lori's Blog, you are in the right place!  If not, you might want to start at the ODBD Blog so you are sure to not miss anyone!  If any links are lost along the way, you can always get the entire list of links from the ODBD Blog as well!

We are so excited to be celebrating this special milestone in the life of ODBD!  It is such a blessing to work for a company that brings glory to God in every stamp set created, and offers us the tools we need to do the same with every card we create!  If you are a long time follower of ODBD, then you know that each year, the Design Team submits a favorite Scripture for the special anniversary sets, and those suggestions have been the sum total of all the "Scripture Collection" stamp sets in the store.  This year, the special sets include our favorite Scriptures, but also quotes and sentiments that we feel would be great on cards or  projects.  We think you will find some of the most encouraging and uplifting words available in stamps in these special anniversary sets!

So now, here are the Details of the Anniversary Hop:

  • The Hop will run 8am EDT Mar. 17 until 8pm EDT Mar 18.
  • The winners will be announced on the ODBD Blog on Mar 19.
  • Four  hoppers will win a FREE ANNIVERSARY SET and One blessed hopper will win The Complete Anniversary  Bread Basket Bundle!!!
Here is what you have to do to be qualified to win one of these prizes:
  • Hop to each designer’s blog and leave a comment
  • Return to the Our Daily Bread designs blog and leave a comment telling us that you completed the hop, making note if there were any you could not comment on.
  • Along with your statement that you completed the hop, leave some Anniversary wishes for Kelley and the gang at ODBD!

I chose to submit a quote this year!  I have always loved this one by Ralph Waldo Emerson.  Such eloquence!  I hope you will enjoy it too!  Ok I'll make this quick since you have lots of hopping to do!!  I combined my quote, which is part of the new Quote Collection 2 set, with a beautiful older set called Path of Life.  I colored the image with copics.  I cut out two windows with the Spellbinders/ODBD Custom Window Die from White card stock and a soft blue designer paper.  I cut out the quote and attached it to the bottom of the window.  Then I added Cheery Lynn Designs Flourishes and Prima Flowers!  I used the top parts of the blue window for embellishments in the bottom corners too!

All of us really appreciate you taking some time to hop with us!
Thank you for joining us on this special day!!!

Now I will send you to the next stop on the hop,
Kathy Jones!  Have fun!!!

See you soon!!!

You Are Such a Blessing to Me.

Hello there!
You are all such a blessing to me!
Thank you so much following my blog and giving me such
beautiful comments that I treasure and love reading!
I am so thankful!

I am sharing this card with you today!  I have used two new ODBD sets.  Faithful Friend and Flourished Verses.  The designer paper is Prima-Romantique.  I made a sort of collage, cutting out the pretty lady and gluing her down over other cut out pieces.  I used a Tim Holtz vintage Photo ink pad to rub all over to get that distressed/aged look.  I cut out a frame with two Spellbinders Ovals and added the pretty dragonfly in the center.  The dragonfly is colored with copics and 'stickled'!  The lace is torn into pieces, then glued and smooshed down along the edges.  I added the sentiment tag and then a pretty Bow Easy bow with seam binding.  I used copics to highlight the outside edge of the lady and then added some pearls to complete the card.  Here is a close up view:

If you would like to get a little more exposure for your latest project, won't you consider joining our linking party over on the Passionately Artistic Blog?  We would love to have you!

Also, reminding you about the festivities going on at the Our Daily Bread designs Blog.  It is our 4th anniversary and lots of fun things are happening as we celebrate!  Don't miss it!

Thanks you again for taking the time to visit with me!  Hope you have a blessed day!

Friend

Hi there!!  Got a couple of cards to share today!  This one is for the following challenges:

I used the new ODBD set called Faithful Friend.  The designer paper in the background is embossed with a SU! folder and I rounded the top corners.  I glued down two types of lace and then added the Cheery Lynn Designs doily, the sentiment Spellbinders circle and the CLD flourishes.  Then I glued down the Bow Easy bow and the pretty Prima flower.  I stamped the dragonfly and colored it with copics before cutting it out and gluing to the card.  Then I added stickles to the dragonfly!

And this card is being entered to:

I used the Faithful Friend set on this card too.  The designer paper is Prima.  I sliced off part of the Cheery Lynn Doily and stamped the sentiment.  Added velvet ribbon and lace and pearls to the edge.  a Bow Easy lace bow and Prima flower along the side more pearls too.  Stamped the dragonfly with the same brown ink as the sentiment and cut it out.  I had to add stickles on him so hope that counts for the no coloring challenge!

Thanks for visiting!  See you again soon!

For Your Friendship

Hello there!!!  This is a little sneak peek of a new ODBD set coming out in a couple of days!  I stamped the sentiment onto the top layer of a 3-D Papier Tole Die Cuts set called Victorian Roses.  This Papier Tole set makes life easy!  The little butterflies came with it!  Just added two types of lace, pretty pink ribbon, a Bow Easy Bow, Cheery Lynn Designs Flourish cut into four separate pieces, a button and some pearls.  I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to get the placement of the sentiment straight.  Love that tool!

I am entering this to the following challenges:

Grace's Frame and Lavender Roses

Hi there!  I was playing again late last night and made this card with the Anchor set by Our Daily Bread designs.  I just love this sentiment as it is perfect for encouragement cards!  I used a base of Neenah Cream card stock and then topped it with White.  The background is embossed with the cuttlebug Grace's Frame embossing folder.  I then added the lace from my stash.  The sentiment is stamped and then cut out with a Spellbinders circle and layered with a Spellbinders Lotus pendant.  This is popped up over the lace and I added a pretty Bow Easy bow and three pretty little lavender roses.  Pearls complete the card!  I really like how this Grace's frame looks with the Spellbinders pendant!  This will make a great encouragement card but this design would be pretty for a wedding card I think!  Thanks for popping in today for a visit!  See you again soon!

Such a Blessing

Hi everyone!  I made this for this week's Midnight Madness sketch!
Shh!  I have a secret to tell you about this card!
I like to use foam tape to pop things up on my projects.
Well, of all things I am completely out of foam tape!  What to do? What to do?
I found some scraps of thin chipboard from packaging and cut a few squares to the sizes
I needed to pop up the Spellbinders squares on my card!  I did have to double up the
chipboard to make it work better but hey, it beats going to the store!!!  And no one will ever know!
Oh wait!  I guess now lots of people know!!  LOL!!

Here are the supplies I used:

Neenah card stock
SU! designer paper
Cuttlebug Preserves embossing folder
SU! ribbon
Pearls
Spellbinders dies
Martha Stewart punch
Flower

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I really love having you!

The background layer is embossed with the Cuttlebug Victoria Folder and then sponged.
I added lots of tiny flowers from the Cuttlebug Floral Borders Dies.

Here is what the inside looks like!

Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Ink
Stazon Black Ink
