Burgundy Joy

I had to take some time out to make this card for the color challenge today! Bravo Burgundy, Kraft and Vanilla were the colors. In real life the organdy ribbon matches perfectly with the burgundy! I have no clue why it looks red in the photo! I used the double embossing technique found here. I used SU! poinsettia folder and a round nestie. I stamped this beautiful sentiment from the new Christmas Verses set from Our Daily Bread designs with versamark and Bravo Burgundy ink and then clear embossed it. I had to use my stamp-a-ma-jig to line it up inside the circle. I used SU! punches for the poinsettia, sponged them, and sprayed them with Gold Glimmer Mist. I made the bow with the help of my little Bow Easy!. And I doodled with a gold paint pen inside the embossed flowers. I added gold cord and gold pearls to complete!

Thanks for stopping by again today!

  1. Sandee, this is simply breathtaking. It just makes me want to break into singing the Christmas carol. Absolutely, totally beautiful!

  2. Sandee, I agree with Diane. Your card is beautiful. I've been humming "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas" and your card says it is so. Thank you for sharing.

  3. Super card Sandee. Love the double embossing technique.
