Versatility

I love trying to find ways to use ODBD sets in ways other than they were intended.  I have used two of the new Christmas sets this month to make this 'Love You' card!   I followed the sketch challenge #411 today on SCS for my layout.  The papers are Prima.  I distressed all the layers with my fingernail and inked the edges.  I stamped the chickadee from the Chickadee Ornament set, cut him out and sponged ink on him.  He is popped up with foam tape and has a layer of Glossy Accents that has not quite dried as you can see in the photo!  I used a black SU! marker on the word Love from the same set and stamped it.  Then I did the same technique with the word You from The Babe set!  I made the seam binding (Hug Snug) bow with Becca's Peg Bow Maker gluing it down with Beacon 3-in-1 glue and then added the little Prima flower on top!  The pretty lace and the strip of pearls were a gift from a sweet friend!  I am also submitting this to Word Art Wednesday!

So glad you could stop by and I hope to see you again soon!!

  1. Sandee: This card is just divine. I'm SO in love with that color of seam binding. Where did you get it, and what color is it called? I've GOT to get my grubs on a bit of that! Beautiful card, and thanks SO much for sharing it in our challenge.

  2. Sandee, That litlle distressed blue rose pulls the blue out of all the dsp so that we see the card going in finding the blue, and then coming back out seeing everything else. That was very clever of you. Your card looks like it should be handled with white gloves like any precious antique.
Thank you for showing us your wonderful creation.
