Hey there!
I made this card for this week's
One layer cards are one of THE hardest cards for me to do! Probably because I never have paper substantial enough (in my opinion) to not appear flimsy when I am done! Y'all know me! I am a layer kinda girl! LOL! But since I am determined to actually meet my quota of Christmas cards this year, I decided to try this challenge. I did remember getting some very sturdy card stock last year, so I searched the world over and finally found it hiding in my stash of paper! This card stock is very thick but it is great for copics and it is very sturdy paper. The only problem I had was folding it in half. I ended up sanding it a little to smooth the paper breaks. Anyway, I like the finished result and I did make a second card just like this! Woohoo! Two more down!

This is absolutely beautiful! Your coloring is fabulous and I love the embossed outlined edges! I know what you mean about one layer cards feeling so flimsy and needing heavier cardstock for them...wish I would have hunted around for something heavier for mine! Lovely, lovely card!!
ReplyDeleteThe stickles are great! And your coloring. I don't often see churches depicted in stamps; I really like it!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful Christmas scene, Sandee! I especially love this church because the church I grew up in was red. Hmmm, may need to do some ODB shopping! Fantastic embossed frame too! Thanks for sharing it with us at Merry Monday!
