Lovin' These New Dies from ODBD!!!

Good Morning!!!  In case you have not heard, Our Daily Bread designs has come out with dies to coordinate with this month's newly released sets called Harvest Blessings and Happy Fall!!!  What a fantastic product to add to your craft supplies!!!!  And so, I've been playing and have two cards to show you today!

This first card is made with the Happy Fall set and also a new set called Light!  I stamped the sunflower six times, colored them with copic markers and then cut out each one with the new die!  They are layered in pairs and popped up with foam tape.  By the way, don't you love this quote?  Anyway, the SU! designer paper in the background is embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder and then sponged with Old Olive ink to highlight the dots.  And of course, I made that bow with my Bow Easy tool!!!  Can't live without that tool!!

Ok, here is another card:

This time I used the Harvest Blessings set.  I masked and stamped just the one sunflower twice.  I colored each with copic markers.  Now the hard part came when I tried to line up the coordinating die because I didn't leave enough room around the image to line it up on both sides of the flower.  So therefore, my cut is just a little off the mark.  But you know, sometimes these little boo boos aren't so bad!  I decided it looks like it's highlighted and I camouflaged it a little with another Bow Easy bow!!!  haha!  I also just got the copic air gun thing and tried to add some blue ink to the oval which is cut out with a Spellbinders Oval and layered with a Spellbinders Big Scalloped Oval die.  I can see the blue ink just a little but I know you can't see it in the photo at all!  I guess I need to practice with that thing some!!!  I used Cuttlebug Paisley embossing folder on some Cosmo Cricket designer paper.  And then I added some buttons to go with the Ways to Use It challenge on SCS!

Thanks so much for looking!  See you again soon!!!

  2. What beautiful cards -- love the bow, and the colors, along with those dies -- on the first one. The second one really inspires me to emboss patterned paper. So pretty!
