Happy Third Anniversary ODBD!!!

If not, you might want to start at the Our Daily Bread designs Blog and hop from there!
The Hop will run from 8am EST Mar.17 until 8pm EST. Mar.18 and the winners will be announced on the ODBD Blog on Sat. Mar 19 along with the Shining the Light winners and challenge.

Ok, on with the show!!  Here is a close up of my card!


This is such a powerful verse, don't you think?  Even as a Christian, I sometimes have a hard time seeing how God is working in my life.  But the bible tells us to be assured and confident in our faith.  We have hope for our future because God is always with us, even when we think we don't see Him!  Praise the Lord!!!

Isn't this Fancy Labels set just gorgeous?!!!  And to have it coordinate with the Spellbinders Labels Seventeen die is such a beautiful thing!!  LOL!  To start my card, I stamped the label in SU! Bordering Blue ink, and the scripture in Memento Black ink.  Then I used my Grand Calibur to cut out the Labels Seventeen and a Petite Scalloped oval.  To create the mat for the Labels Seventeen, I just lightly traced around the outside of the die with a pencil and carefully cut it out.  The background paper is from Prima and is embossed with the SU! Lattice folder.  The card stock I used is Neenah Cream and SU! Bordering Blue.  The lacy border is punched with an EKSuccess border punch.  I added SpellbindersZva pearl swirls and tiny pearls to the Martha Stewart punched butterflies.  I made the bow with my Bow Easy tool and I added little roses to the bow.  I did a little sponging to the tips of the flower petals, the edges of the scalloped oval and the edges of the blue pieces of card stock.  I finished the card with a few more Zva pearls on the border strip and one large SU! pearl to the top of the oval.

If your verse is selected you will receive the set free and you will be invited to be a guest designer for the release of these new stamps when they are ready, by sending a photo of your card to Kelley to post on the ODBD blog.     I love this card! What is so great about it (and about the whole DT for ODBD) is how you are able to incorporate so much detail without ever taking attention away from the scripture verse! The pearl on top, the rose at the bottom, just perfect!

    Sandee; Yes this is a powerful verse. I am not well versed in the scriptures but this is another verse that I need personally. Once again great card. I have been trying to avoid purchasing the Grand Calibur. But I won't be able to do such a great job on my cards using the stamps if I don't don't get one. LOL.

    What a gorgeous card! I love this Verse, and even my Atheist husband says it to me when I start getting cranky about life! I love the Lattice SU! Folder...it looks wonderful on your beautiful card. I really love your pearl flourish and those beautiful flowers on the ribbon. The scalloped lace paper on the bottom is wonderful...and I really like how you described the Scripture. That is the most important part, isn't it? That we understand His Word. And, you framed His Word so beautifully! It is a wonderful focus.

    I love the scripture, as I can always use a reminder when it comes to faith. God is SO faithful and will never disappoint, but it seems that in the midst of the storm I lose sight of that simple fact. Your card is beautiful ~ love the soft colors and all the details.
