Welcome to the ODBD May Release!

 Good morning!

Welcome to the ODBD May New Release!
We are so happy you have joined us today!!!  I don't know about you but I am shocked that it is May already!!!  This year has been a blur so far!

Here are the details on how you can win:

Three randomly selected winners will each receive a $25 gift certificate to the ODBD Store, to be used toward the purchase of ODBD Stamps found in the "stamps column" of the website just for commenting on the Design Team cards!  You have until May 2, 2015 at 9:00 p.m. EDT to leave your comments on the Designers Blogs for a chance to win!  The Winners will be posted on the ODBD Blog on May 3rd, so be sure to check back there to see if you won!
My first card features the sweet set called Spread Your Wings.  I love that there is a die set (Birds and Nest Dies) to match!  I colored the images with copics before cutting them out.  I created a little scene with Fancy Foliage dies, Clouds and Raindrops dies, Layered Lacy Squares dies and the Daisy Chain Background Die.  I added little touches of stickles to the little eggs and birds to complete the card.  Here is a look at the inside:
The sentiment is cut out with a Vintage Flourish Pattern die.

Here is my second card:

You know I had to do a shabby card, right?  :)

The sentiment is from Belles Vignes and is cut out with a Pennant die.  I used lots of papers from the Shabby Rose Paper Collection.  The new gorgeous Fancy Fritillary Butterfly die is the focal point, along with the little flowers and leaves from the Birds and Nest die set.  The circle is cut with a Matting Circles die and layered over a Doily die cut.  I added a few Fancy Foliage die cuts and some pearls too.  Then I used a toothbrush dipped in white paint, scraping my nail across the brush bristles to get some splatters.

Here are the ODBD products I used today:

  14. I am just now getting into what I call fancy cards so I was glad to see that you have given me an example on the ODBD. I realize that your card is shabby chic but this is a good thing for me to study too. I love the ODBD stamps and dies which I just recently discovered. I love the softness of your card (mine are always so INTENSE!) and the layering. You chose such beautiful flowers, leaves and flourishes. Now.....to get to practicing!
