Welcome to the ODBD November Release Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Our Daily Bread designs November Release Blog Hop!!!  We are so excited to have you with us today!!  I am your first stop on the hop this morning but if you just happened to stop by, you may want to start over at the ODBD Blog to get all the details of the hop!  If for some reason a link is broken along the way, there is also a complete list of all the designers sharing today to get you back on track so you don't miss anything!   There are prizes at stake here y'all!!!  :)

I've got lots of photos to share, so I hope you will bear with me!  The project I made was inspired by several projects shared on Pinterest.  This is the tutorial I followed most closely.  And it is really quite easy, just really glue-y and ink-y!  But seriously, what paper crafter doesn't like to get their fingers all glue-y and ink-y?!!!

Several months ago I purchased on old dictionary at a local Goodwill store.  I love shopping at the Goodwill, because you can find all sorts of reasonably priced goodies to re-purpose!  And I knew that the dictionary would come in handy!   I tore out three pages and cut little rectangles 2 1/2 by 2.  I inked the edges on both sides of each rectangle with Vintage Photo distress ink.  I had about 30 of those little rectangles!  I rolled them into little cones and glued the edges down and put them aside.

Then I cut a several circles with a Spellbinders die.  One from a piece of chipboard from some packaging material and two more from some Christmas designer paper I bought at Hobby Lobby.  I glued these pieces together with Mod Podge which makes a sturdy back for the ornament.  Oh and I inked those edges too and punched a hole to thread the seam binding through!

Next, I used Beacon 3-in-1 glue to glue each of those little cones around the circle backing.  After they were in place to my liking, I colored the sweet little Baby Jesus image from the new set called The Babe using copic markers.

I cut out the image with another Spellbinders circle and cut a Lacey Circle from the designer paper for the frame around the image.  Those edges were inked as well.   I used Glossy Accents over the whole image circle and let that dry overnight.  I also put some glue on the edges of each cone and added some Martha Stewart Glitter and let that dry overnight too!

I knew I needed to give the center of the image circle a little stability to attach it to the cone circle.  I found a round center piece from a spool of ribbon.  I guess that would be the spool!  hehe!  I glued that to the back of the image piece and then glued the whole thing down to the center of the cone circle!

I am linking this to the Word Art Wednesday Blog!!!

I have a card to share also using the new Turtle Dove Ornament set!

I colored this beautiful image with copics and cut it out with a Spellbinders Circle and framed it with Spellbinders Eyelet Circle dies.

I added some pearls, stickles on the image and a pretty little lace bow I made with Becca's Peg Bow Maker!

Ok, that is it!  We really appreciate you hopping with us today!

Your next stop on the hop is the fabulously talented, lovely and sweet CHRIS

I know you will enjoy all the projects today,
as we all have had a blast creating with these wonderful new images!!!

God Bless You!
My Siggy
