There is a sneak peek in this post!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

I hope you all are enjoying a wonderful time of giving thanks and spending time with family and friends.
I am so thankful for all of you who visit with me and encourage me.  Thank you all so much!

I've got three cards to show you today!   The one above uses the new ODBD Snowflake Background along with the set from last Christmas called His Gift.  The designer paper is from the Spearmint collection by Memory Box.  I stamped the background with Handsome Hunter ink and embossed it with the Holly Ribbons Cuttlebug folder.  The snowflake is cut out with the Snowflake die and I sprayed it and the background with Gold Glimmer Mist.  I made the bow with my Bow Easy and I glued lots of pretty green beads and a large rhinestone with Beacon glue.

Here is a card and matching tag I made.  I cut the tag with the new custom Tag die that came out this month and the poinsettia is hand cut from the coordinating Poinsettia Tag set .  The designer paper is Memory Box, the Mistletoe collection and is embossed with a SU! folder.  The sentiment on the tag is from the Mistletoe Tag set and the sentiment on the card is from the Sing for Joy set.  The little tag is stamped with the same stamp, masking out everything but Joy.  The cage and the birds are wooden die cuts I bought at a stamp show and I'm sorry but I don't remember who made them.  I sprayed the cage with Brick Glimmer Mist and I covered the birds with designer paper.  The ribbon is SU! and I used a Martha punch for the greenery.

Here is the Sneak Peek!!!!

Our Daily Bread designs is so proud and pleased to be chosen by the Spellbinders company as a Preferred Stamp Partner.  Our partnership with Spellbinders will be a blessing to the stamping community as well, as we expand our line to include  perfect match sentiments, Scriptures and images to Spellbinders products.  We look forward to a long and blessed partnership with
such a fine product as Spellbinders.
I cannot tell you how excited I am about this wonderful new partnership and this new set which coordinates with the Spellbinders Heirloom Ornament is absolutely gorgeous!!!  I stamped the ornament onto Memory Box Spearmint designer paper with Versamark ink and heat embossed it in silver.  I cut it out with the Spellbinders die and added silver bling.  I made a Bow Easy bow and attached it with silver cord and a pretty cross charm to the ornament.  The back ground is matching Memory Box paper embossed with a Sizzix folder and I added two styles of lace to nestle the ornament on.

Mark your calendars for December 1st and join us for our release day blog hop!
I know you will not be disappointed!!!!

Also, Kelley is offering a FREE SHIPPING SPECIAL to thank our customers!!!
It is valid through November 28th!  Here is the coupon code!
Thank you so much for staying with me for such a long post!  Enjoy your holiday weekend!

Thanksgiving Hospitality

Good morning!  Today, the Passionately Artistic team has created thank you cards and projects with the Thanksgiving theme.  My card matches the Thanksgiving card I made a couple of weeks ago.  I used the same pretty K & Co designer paper along with Chocolate Chip and Mustard card stock on a base of Cream Neenah card stock.  The sentiment is from a stamp set by Our Daily Bread designs called The Living Bread.  I added a cuttlebug die cut and twine to complete the card!
Thanks so much for looking!  I hope you and yours have a Blessed Thanksgiving!

Midnight Sky Wishes

Hi everyone!  Still frantically working on Christmas cards here!  I made this for the Midnight Madness sketch this week.  I stamped the large snowflake from the Peace and Joy set from Our Daily Bread designs and cut it out with the matching die.  They are sprayed with Marshmallow Glimmer Mist and I added buttons and bling to each one.  The sentiment is from one of this month's ODBD new releases called Mistletoe Tag Set.  The back ground is a sheet of designer paper from the Memory Box Spearmint collection and it is embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder and sprayed with the same Glimmer Mist. I added some wide lace and tied the sentiment tag with organdy ribbon.  Pretty pearls complete the card!
Thanks for looking and hope you have a great night!

Vintage Christmas Ornament

Hi there!!!  I've been working on this off and on all day! Well, actually I have been creating this in my head for a couple of weeks now, and finally had time today to make it!  I cut two pieces of thin chipboard packaging  to the size of 4 1/2 x 3 1/2..  I also cut the same size from SU! Christmas designer paper.  Then I used Mod Podge to glue the designer paper to the chipboard.  On one of the rectangles I cut out a Spellbinders oval.  I smoothed all of the edges with a sanding block and sponged with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink.  Then I stamped the image from Our Daily Bread designs called Reason for the Season, with the Vintage Photo ink onto Neenah Cream card stock and sponged the whole thing with Antique Linen ink.  I sandwiched this piece between the two chipboard pieces with the designer paper showing front and back, gluing everything together with Mod Podge.  Once this dried, I used my crop-a-dile to punch the holes and add the eyelets.  I stamped the sentiment from the Poinsettia Tag Set onto the same designer paper and cut them out, sponged them and glued them to the ornament.  The lace was originally white and the velvet ribbon was a bright red.  I sprayed these with Brick Glimmer Mist to change the color to match the paper.  I used SU! ribbon to create the ornament hanger and bow.  Oh yeah I forgot to say that I covered the entire oval area with Diamond Glaze and let it dry.  Unfortunately, as you can see, there are lots of bubbles!  Oh well, it is what it is!  Then it was just a matter of gluing the ribbon, lace and buttons down!  I had made a Spellbinders fancy tag and had decided not to use it but I changed my mind and cut it up to use for accent pieces!
What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great weekend!

Thanksgiving Broach

Good morning!!!
If you haven't checked out the new and improved Passionately Artistic site,
(formerly the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog) yet, you are missing some great projects!

We are encouraging you to show us your artwork, including
cards, scrapbook pages, home decor, sewing, and so on!
We have had some wonderful artwork linked to the site in the last couple of weeks!
There are some amazing artists out there!!!

Today, the team is focusing on Thanksgiving projects with embossing powder.  I made this broach to wear on Thanksgiving!  I used some real wood paper gifted to me by McMahon Five designs! Thank you Sue!  I cut two Spellbinders leaves and a Spellbinders tag from the wood paper.  I also cut the same shapes from a piece of Chocolate Chip card stock for the back of each wood piece, just for added strength.  I sprayed each piece lightly with Peach Delight and Brick Glimmer Mists.  Then I sponged the edges with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink.  Next, I masked and stamped the word Blessings from a stamp in the Happy Birthday set by Our Daily Bread designs in Stazon Black ink.
I inked up each piece with Versamark ink and then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.  I did each piece one at a time, with three layers of versamark and embossing powder.  I punched a hole in the Blessings tag and then laced the gold cord through and around, adding the button and then tied everything into place.  The beads were the last embellishment to be added.  I glued a pin to the back to complete the broach!

Hope you like my project today!  Have a wonderful week and thanks for stopping by!

Snowflake Wishes

Hope you are having a great week so far!  I made this card tonight for the following challenges:

The background image is the new Snowflake Background from Our Daily Bread designs.  I sponged the turquoise ink and then stamped the background in water and dried it with my heat tool.  I stamped the sentiment from the new Mistletoe Tag set with Stazon Black ink.  I stamped the snowflake from the Peace and Joy set and cut it out with the matching die.  I punched two button holes in the snowflake and threaded the silver cord through to attach it.  I made the bow with my Bow Easy and sprayed the whole thing with Marshmallow Glimmer Mist!  This is pretty CAS for me huh?!  And you can bet I will be trying this stamping with water technique again!  Fun, fun!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Midnight Madness Tag Card

Hi there!  I made this for the Midnight Madness sketch challenge this week!    Another Christmas card done!  I started with a sheet from the new designer paper from SU!, and matched it with Sahara Sand and retired Baroque Burgundy.  I fussy cut around the poinsettias in order to place the tag.  The tag is a new die from Our Daily Bread designs.  There are matching stamp sets too!  I used both the and the Poinsettia Tag setMistletoe Tag set for this card.  I sprayed the whole card with Pearl Glimmer Mist.  The ribbon is from SU! too and I sprayed it with Suede Glimmer Mist to get the darker shade of red to match with the burgundy.  I made the bow with my Bow Easy.  I finished the card with silver cord (for the ODBD challenge to use silver or gold cord) and silver beads and a button!  Thanks for visiting!!!

Golden Joy

Hey there!  Well, I made this card last week for the Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge to make an all white or cream, monochromatic type card and I forgot to link it up last night for the deadline!!!!  Ah well,  that's life these days! The sentiment is from Our Daily Bread designs' set called Luke 2:11.  I used Neenah Cream card stock and Prism Metallic Gold Card stock.  The sentiment is heat embossed with gold embossing powder.  I sprayed the Holly Ribbons embossed layer with Pearl Glimmer Mist.  The sentiment is popped up on a couple of Spellbinders layers.  I added the Cuttlebug corners, some pretty gold rhinestones and the gold organdy to complete the card.  One more Christmas card down!!!

Thanks for visiting and have a great week!

Thanksgiving Inspiration!!!

Good morning!!!  Thanksgiving is just around the corner and I have so much to be thankful for!!!  Just this past Sunday, my fourth precious Grand-baby was born and she is just the sweetest little gift!

Thanks for letting my take a moment to gush!!!  LOL!!!

Anyway, back to the card!  The Passionately Artistic design team is concentrating on Thanksgiving themes for the next few weeks.  For today, we have creations using Thanksgiving colors of brown, green and orange.  I recently found a pack of Fall papers from K &Co! and I chose a gorgeous sheet of pumpkins in just the colors needed for this week's creations.  It already has a slightly embossed texture so only added an embossed border with one of the Cuttlebug Ironworks Border folders.  I sponged the embossed area and the edges of the square with More Mustard ink and attached to a panel of More Mustard card stock.  I stamped the verse from the Happy Birthday set by Our Daily Bread designs with Stazon Black ink.  I added a bow with the twine and popped up these two layers onto a layer of Chocolate Chip card stock with lots of foam tape.  The base is Neenah Cream card stock.  Thanks for taking a moment to visit with me!  Have a wonderful week!

Poinsettia Box

Good morning!  I am so excited to share a little Christmas project with you today!  It's a little gift box just perfect for a gift card, a cookie, or candy!  I painted an empty Laughing Cow box with vanilla acrylic paint.  Once that dried, I cut a Spellbinders circle from a sheet of Basic Gray Wassail designer paper and embossed it with one of the Cuttlebug embossing folders from the Preserves collection.  I cut a Spellbinders scalloped circle from SU! retired Baroque Burgundy card stock and adhered it to the circle and then to the top of the box.  I then cut the Spellbinders Poinsettias from another sheet of Wassail paper and sprayed them with Glimmer Mists in the shades of Brick, Suede and Marshmallow.  After they dried, I fiddled with them and layered them using foam tape, until I had the blossom ready to attach.

Before I attached the poinsettia blossom, I cut some red velvet ribbon and some white lace to size and sprayed Brick and suede Glimmer mists on them to get the burgundy color to match.  I dried them carefully with my heat tool and then attached them to the sides of the box and added pearls.  Then I attached the poinsettia and added the button and pearl to the top.  Next, I was ready to create my tag!  I used the newly released Poinsettia Tag Set and matching die from Our Daily Bread designs.  I colored the image with copic markers first.  I outlined the vine with a gold pen and used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to place the To/From sentiment.  I made the bow with my Bow Easy and attached the tag to the top of the box!  What do you think?

Don't forget the November Release Blog Hop is in full swing!

and One GRAND PRIZE of the November Bread Basket Bundle!!!! Woo-hoo!!!

To be eligible for the prizes, just leave a comment on each designer's blog and then also on the ODBD blog, letting us know that you completed the hop and left comments for everyone!  That is it!!!  If you have trouble leaving a comment along the way, don't stress.  Just let us know and all is good!

Now, for the details of the card above.  I used the Mistletoe Tag Set.  I colored the image with copics and then cut it out with the matching tag die!  I also cut out three more tags to get the outline around the tag and also to add a little thickness.  I added the sentiment oval and pretty seam binding to the tag.  The designer paper background is Memory Box and is embossed with the Holly Ribbons folder.  The accent card stock is Rose Red and the base is Neenah White.  I also distressed some of the edges of the red card stock.   I added lots of pretty lace and pearls and Marshmallow Glimmer Mist to complete the card!

Here is one more!

For this one, I used last week's color combo on SCS: Kraft, Blush, and Baja Breeze.  This is the Poinsettia Tag set!  This time I used one of Becca's tips to cut around the outside of the die to get that little bit of a larger tag under the main tag!  I colored the image with copics and cut a few more of the poinsettias out to layer.  I masked off part of the sentiment and used my Stamp-a-ma-jig for placement.  I added a pretty seam binding Bow Easy bow to the tag.  The base card and the tag are Neenah Cream card stock. The SU! designer paper is embossed with the Houndstooth folder.  Pretty lace and pearls and a button complete this card!

Thank you so much for hopping with us today!  Hope you love these sets as much as I do!

Your next stop is to the blog of the fantastically talented Dawn!
