SCS celebrates their 300th sketch challenge!

Here is another one I made this week!
I used the new Poinsettia die being released tomorrow from
Our Daily Bread designs which matches the set called Blessed Christmas!
How cool is that?  I colored the image with copics and then cut it out with the die.
I stamped and colored it two more times to get the layers of the flower.
For my sketch, I used the 300th sketch challenge on SCS!
The designer paper is  Memory Box and is embossed with SU! poinsettia embossing
folder and then sponged with SU! burgundy ink.
I added the pretty ribbon and Bow Easy bow, rhinestones swirls,
a rhinestone flower center and then sprayed
Marshmallow Glimmer Mist over the finished card!

Thanks so much for visiting today!
I invite you to join us tomorrow for the October Our Daily Bread designs blog hop!
See you there!

Be Inspired #103

Happy Wednesday!

Today, at the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog, we are getting a head start on World Card Making Day!
This Saturday, October 2nd, is a day to connect with fellow card makers both near and far,
to applaud the creativity that powers the craft, and to provide an opportunity for card makers
to connect and find resources that will empower, inspire, and encourage them in their card making.
We hope you will join us for our challenge this week!  I chose to create a Christmas card for my stash
since I just recently realized how close Christmas is and I have a long way to go to getting my cards
done this year!!!   I used this adorable image from Digi Stamp Characters by Heather Ellis.
I colored it with copic markers and cut it out with a Spellbinders oval die.
The back ground is embossed with one of the folders in the new
Provocraft Cuttlebug Winter Embossing set!
I sprayed the whole thing with Marshmallow Glimmer Mist and added the little gingham bow
and the crystals to complete the card.  I used SU! cardstock in Whisper White and Close to Cocoa.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Enjoy your World Card Making Holiday!!!

Well Water, Snowflakes and Bread Slices

Hi there!!!  I've got several things to share with you tonight.
This first card features the new Our Daily Bread designs set called Never Thirst.
I made it for three challenges:

and

I colored the image with copic markers and sponged around it lightly with Tim Holtz distressing ink.  The background designer paper is embossed with the Kassie Cuttlebug folder and also sponged.  My feeble attempt at the ribbon treatment is organdy ribbon folded and held down with Scor-Tape and
I added velvet ribbon over the middle of it.  The bow was made with my Bow Easy Tool.
I finished the card with pearls and a nice dose of Suede Glimmer Mist!
The papers are SU! Sahara Sand and Vanilla and the designer paper is by The paper Studio.

Have you all heard that Our Daily Bread designs now has dies to match some of their stamp sets?
This gorgeous snowflake from last year's Peace and Joy set is cut out
with a die that will be available on October 1st!

I embossed the background with the Cuttlebug Snow Dots folder and sponged it with Tim Holtz ink.
And I sprayed everything with Marshmallow Glimmer Mist.  Again, I used my Bow Easy
to make the bow.  And I added tons of bling!  The papers are SU! Kraft and White.

And now for a little slice of bread!

This is a peek of a card I have ready for our monthly Blog Hop on the first!
We'll see you then!!!
Thanks for stopping by!

Pearls, Lace and Iron

Ironworks Borders that is!  This gorgeous border set from Our Daily Bread designs is such a cool match up with this new set called Never Thirst.  It fit so nicely inside this Spellbinders die too!  I cut the main image out with a Spellbinders oval and popped it up with foam tape.  The background is Chocolate Chip paper embossed with the Kassie's Brocade embossing folder.  The sentiment is masked from one of the other stamps in the Never Thirst set and cut out with a SU! punch.  I added pearls and some gorgeous wide lace my Mom found recently at a thrift store!  The pretty bow I made with the Bow Easy finishes the card.  Oh wait, I almost forgot!  I sprayed the whole thing with Tattered Angels Marshmallow Glimmer Mist!  Ok, that finishes the card!!  Thanks for stopping by!  See you again soon!

attached them over the top of the original images with foam tape.
The sentiment is masked from a stamp in the Happy Birthday set from Our Daily Bread designs.

September Our Daily Bread designs Blog Hop!!

Good Morning!
If you are here for the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog Be Inspired Wednesday, click on the link.

It's stamp release day for Our Daily Bread designs and we are celebrating with a two day blog hop!  If you arrived here from Our Daily Bread designs blog, then you are heading in the right direction!!!  I am the first stop for the hop and I am so glad you are here!!!  Kelley is offering three chances to win gift certificates for ODBD stamps!!!!  The prizes are hidden along the hop and all you have to do for a chance to win is comment on each designer's blog and then leave a comment on the ODBD blog stating that you have completed the hop and left a comment on each blog.  That's it!!!  We want this to be fun, so if you have trouble leaving a comment anywhere, just mention that in your comment at the ODBD blog!  You have until 8 pm EST on Thursday, the 2nd to complete the hop.  The winners will be announced on Saturday on the ODBD blog during the Shining The Light Challenge!  Now on with the show!

For the card above, I used the new set called Peace and a new border set called Brocade Borders.  The borders are stamped and cut out and glued to frame the beautiful sentiment.  The background K & Co designer paper is embossed with the Cassie's Brocade embossing folder.  I sponged Tim Holtz Antique Linen ink on all pieces.  Some edges are distressed with a distressing tool and I punched a border on the suede strip across the front.  The cardstock is SU! Blush Blossom and Soft Suede.  And do you believe I made the flower?  I know, I don't believe it myself, but I did!  LOL!  I started by punching a circle and putting some glue on one side.  I twisted some tulle and wound it around and around starting in the middle and going out to the edge.  I pierced a hole in the middle so I could add the pearl brad and the ribbon leaves.  Now this was pretty messy, and left some signs of glue because I don't know what I'm doing!  haha!  Anyway, to hide the glue I added some stickles!  Turned out ok in the end!  Zva pearls complete the card.

And here is my second card for today's hop:

This card uses the new set called Never Thirst.  I just love this nostalgic image!  I colored it with copic markers and sponged the blue sky.  I used the Out of the Box Nestie technique to cut out the Spellbinders circle around the image so that the bucket is hanging over the edge.  I popped up the bucket over the fence border and added the trailing vine of flowers cut with a Cuttlebug die.  I added the large Prima flower and Zva pearls to finish the card.  I used Mellow Moss cardstock with Anna Griffin designer paper.  And that's it!

Now from here, please visit my incredibly talented and amazing DT sister, Dawn Lusk!
We hope you enjoy the hop and that you have a wonderful and blessed day!
Thank so much for joining us!

Be Inspired #99

Good Morning!
If you are here for the Our Daily Bread designs blog hop click on the link, or just click here.
Today the team at The Cuttlebug Challenge blog is featuring stamps from
These stamp sets are created to be used with the designs you cut out with your Cricut!  How fun!
I thought this cute little sentiment stamp was perfect with this little bird sign from the Provocraft Cricut Cartridge called Songbird #20-00063!  I also cut out the word enjoy with the same cartridge.  The designer paper is embossed with the Provocraft Cuttlebug Floral Fantasy Embossing Folder #37-1806.  I punched out the fence with a Martha Stewart punch, added the ribbon and placed the sign behind the fence.  The flowers are cut from the Provocraft Cuttlebug Floral Borders Die #37-1114.
I added tiny brown pearls to the flower centers.

Thanks for visiting!
To see more designs using these great stamps, go visit the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog.
