Guest Designing for The Shabby Tea Room!

Good morning!!!
I am super excited that I recently won one of the challenges over at The Shabby Tea Room!
WooHoo!

One of the perks when you win is that you get to Guest Design for them one week!  And this is my week!  The Shabby Tea Room Challenge #189 is to create a card using this photograph as your inspiration
 and to use Fall flowers:

What a beautiful inspiration photo!

This new set from Our Daily Bread designs is perfect for this challenge!  I colored the Fall Flower Pumpkin with copics and cut it out with the coordinating ODBD Custom Pumpkin and Flowers Die.  I placed the cut out image on a Spellbinders frame made with Square dies, Labels 18, and the ODBD Custom Fence die.  I added a little touch of burlap under the image too.  Then I embellished with leaves made with Autumn Blessings and ODBD Custom Leaves and Acorn dies and swirls made with ODBD Custom Fancy Foliage dies.  To finish the card I stamped the sentiment, cut it out with a Spellbinders Tag Trio die and tucked it under the pumpkin.

Here are the ODBD supplies I used:

Thanks so much to Debbie and the The Shabby Tea Room team for letting me guest this week!

The Apple of God's Eye!

 Hi everyone!
Autumn is finally in the air and we have been enjoying
lovely cool temps here in my neck of the woods!
Love it!

Here is a card I made for several challenges:

WT446-Squares-(I'm counting the little squares in the gingham)

This new ODBD Apples image is colored with copics and I added glossy accents to the apples to give them that apple shine!  I cut it out with the ODBD Custom Elegant Oval die and placed it over two of the new ODBD Custom Decorative Corners.  The background is ODBD Gingham Background and is framed with Spellbinders Matting Basics.  The little vine is from ODBD Custom Fancy Foliage dies and the tag is ODBD Custom Recipe Card and Tag dies.  The little bow was made with Becca's Peg Bow Maker!

Isn't it Romantic?

This is one of my favorite scriptures!  Song of Songs 3:4- I found the one whom my soul loves...

This scripture is found in the new ODBD set called Love Scriptures.

I decided to play along in The Shabby Tea Room Challenge 175 which is a photo inspiration along with using pearls, lace and flowers.  The designer paper is from My Mind's Eye.  I used the ODBD/Spellbinders Window Die to cut from the same designer paper and made the bow with Becca's Peg Bow Maker.  The pearls were added to the lace along the side.

Hope you are having a great week so far!  Thanks for stopping by!

The Windows of Thy Grace

Good morning!  It's raining here but I can 'look' through this window and see blue skies!!!  This new Stained Glass Collage from Our Daily Bread designs is so fun to work with!  I recently shared the Acrylic Smash tutorial from Splitcoast that I used for another card seen here in this post.  Here is a version using just one solid color of acrylic paint!

Here is the new stamp I used:

Never Will I Leave You

Hello!!!

I have a couple of cards to share using one of the new ODBD Anniversary sets,
Scripture Collection 10!  I went a little shabby on this one with pretty Prima papers, lace and pearls.  I also stamped part of the Honeycomb Background on the paper!  The scripture is cut out with a tag from the ODBD/Spellbinders Recipe Card and Tags Dies.  The little bow was made with Becca's Peg Bow Maker.  The little bird is from a digital paper sheet (Digital Papers by Janet Etsy) that I won in The Shabby Tea Room challenge last week!  WooHoo!!!  My card was chosen as one of their top three!!!

And this one is clean and simple!  I used the Scripture Collection 10 again framing it with Spellbinders Labels 26 and Marvelous Squares.  I made the little flowers and leaves with  Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms with papers from My Mind's Eye.  Zva pearls complete the card!

Here are the ODBD supplies I used for these cards:

So glad you stopped by to take a look!  See you again soon!

Canvas Butterflies

Hi there! Thank you so much for stopping by!

I made this for the Passionately Artistic Blog and for The Shabby Tea Room!  The theme in the Tea Room is Sweet Summertime along with either pink, aqua, brown  or teal.  I started with some pretty Prima designer paper, layering several pieces with lace and pretty seam binding.  I used Becca's Peg Bow Maker to create the gorgeous bow!  I stamped the sentiment form the new Our Daily Bread designs set called Thank You Sentiments and then framed it with a little frame that is spritzed with Vintage Pink Glimmer Mist.  The canvas butterflies are Prima and are also spritzed with the Glimmer Mist.  I sponged a little brown distress ink on the frame and papers and butterflies for a shabby look.  Just added the pearl flourish and the buttons to complete the card!

Hope you have a wonderful week!

It Is Well With My Soul

Good morning!  Hope you all have had a wonderful week!

Got a little sneak peek of a new stamp coming out Feb 1st from Our Daily Bread designs!
Sheet music to the beautiful old hymn, It Is Well With My Soul!

I wanted to try the Belleek technique that I enjoyed so much earlier this week!  I inked up my Cuttlebug Textile Texture folder with pink ink and then sponged off a little of it to help make it more muted.  Once I ran it through my bug, it was still a little too pink.  So, I went about trying to tone down the piece by painting it with white acrylic paint using a very light touch.  Then I also painted it with Marshmallow Glimmer Mist.  And then I even sprayed it with Pearl Glimmer Mist!  I finally had the shade and look I was going for.

So then I did the same applications to each die cut.  I've used the Cheery Lynn Designs Fanciful Flourish, Spellbinders Squares, Fleur de Lis Squares, Blossoms Tags and Accents and the angel wings are from an old Spellbinders ATC die set.  The heart is made of wood and is also painted.  I stamped the music on the back ground of the card, stamping if off first on scrap paper and then also did the same painting technique to this piece.  You should have seen my hands!  After it had all dried, I put everything together, and added the little silver bow and tiny pearls.

Here is a little tip:  I got a little too much paint on the sentiment tag, which covered up the song title too much.  So I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp it again which helped a lot!  What a wonderful tool!!!

I am sharing this card in the following challenges:

Thank you so much for looking and I hope you have a beautiful weekend!

Glory to God!

Good morning!!!  Hope you are doing good today!

This is for the following challenges:

This lovely ornament is part of a new stamp set from Our Daily Bread designs called
Holiday Ornaments 2.  It is stamped with versamark and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.
I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to place the sentiment inside the ornament.  The designs in this set coordinate with Spellbinders Holiday Tags Dies!  This is a fun set to play with!

Have a wonderful day!  See you again soon!

Love and Joy

Hi everyone!  I am entering this into several challenges.

IC311-SCS Inspiration Challenge
CCC11-Christmas Card Challenge November

The sentiment is from one of this month's new sets by Our Daily Bread designs called Sacred Season.  I cut it out with a Spellbinders Labels Four.  I don't have a clue who the maker of the designer paper is but it's pretty!  It already has a shimmer to it and I embossed it with a Cuttlebug folder for extra texture.  The cut out behind the pink pearls and the white leaves are canvas cut outs that are sprayed with several shades of Glimmer Mists.  Well, the leaves are sprayed with Marshmallow and Dazzling Diamonds so not much color on those.  The flower is by Prima.  I wound gold cording around pink tulle and then attached the bow.  The tulle was glued down over the lace with Beacon glue. Thank you so much for stopping by!  Hope you have a wonderful weekend and see you again soon!

God Bless Our Soldiers!

Hi there!  I hope y'all are having a great Saturday!

My card today features two of the newest ODBD sets called Not Forgotten and Old Flag Background!
I love these sets and they go together so beautifully!  I stamped each image and colored them with SU! inks, Not Quite Navy and Ruby Red and Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink,  using tiny cotton balls and one of those tools look like a pencil with an alligator clip on each end.  I am so sorry but I can never remember what those things are called!   I stamped the sentiment and cut it out with a Spellbinders Oval.  Then I layered each piece with SU! Soft Suede card stock.  You can see how the soldier image lines up with the flag background!   I added a strip along the left that is embossed with a row of stars.  I used one of the borders in a Cuttlebug Border set called Measure for Measure.  Then I added the brads and the ribbon.  The largest square layer is distressed with a distressing tool.  After attaching this to the card base, I sprayed the card with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist.  I used a couple of challenges for this card:

Thanks for visiting! Remember to keep our soldiers in your hearts and prayers!
