Cats, Banners and Bows, Oh My!

Hi there!  This is for the MFPSpeedyTV Sketch with a Twist Challenge.  The twist this week is to use an animal on your card.  I still have only one MFP set but won the Adirondack Summer set and can't wait for it to arrive!!!  So excited!  Thanks MFP!!!  This is the little tiny cat in the A Walk in the Woods set that I used on last week's card.  So cute!  I am also linking this to Word Art Wednesday.  Thanks for stopping by!!!  See you again soon!

If Tears Could Build a Stairway...

Hi there!  Hope you all have been enjoying your summer!  It is HOT!!!

Well, I have a couple of cards to share with you that I made with the new ODBD set called Sharing Your Sorrow.  The one above I used a new Cuttlebug Embossing folder and a Prima Butterfly misted with Glimmer Mist along with a Prima Rose.  Tried to keep this one clean and simple.

This next one is still clean and simple but does have a busier patterned paper.

I sponged Antique Linen ink on the sentiment oval, added antique lace and pretty seam binding, and finished the card with a little butterfly and pearl.  The designer paper is also embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

The Passionately Artistic Blog invites you to share your latest project by joining our linking party!  Have a wonderful day!

Cameo Kitten

Good morning!

I made this card for the new Mark's Finest Papers: -a Heinrich Co. Sketch With a Twist Challenges!  I have had a wonderful set called A Walk in the Woods for a while now.  I won it!  Shame on me though 'cos for some reason I can't find where I ever posted a card using this great set!  So finally, here is one I made for the challenge.  Along with the sketch, this week's twist is to use two or more stamps on your card.  I used the tiny cat that was included in the set and the word Faith, which was masked from one of the sentiments.  The Prima designer paper was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder and inked with Memento brown and Antique Linen distress inks.  I cut out the Spellbinders cameo frame and a Spellbinders tag and inked those as well.  After stamping and sponging the kitten oval and adhering it into place, I added Diamond Glaze.  The tiny tag is a StampinUp! punch.  I made the bow with Becca's Peg Bow Maker and add some pretty pearl swirls. I am also linking this to Word Art Wednesday for this week!

That's it!  Hope you all have a wonderful day!  Talk to you again soon!

Wings of the Morning

Hi there!  Happy Monday!  Hope you all had a great weekend!
I am playing in a few challenges this morning!

I sponged several shades of ink to get the beach scene background.  I also used my white ink pad to drag across the background just for a little weathered look.  I did the same on the wooden bird embellishment.  The scripture is from the new ODBD set called Surging Sea.  I just added a little hemp twine to complete the card!

Thanks so much for taking time to visit with me today!  Enjoy your week!

Precious Loving Memories

Hi everyone!  Hope y'all are keeping cool!  This heat in my neck of the woods is horrendous!  We are expecting a few little thunderstorms later so that should cool things down a little!

I made this card for the Passionately Artistic Blog this week!  We invite you each Wednesday for a Linking Party for your latest projects!  Also, this will be for the Word Art Wednesday challenge this week.  This sentiment is from the new sympathy set from Our Daily Bread designs called Loving Memories.  I don't know about you, but I really like to keep sympathy cards in my stash so I don't have to make one at the last minute.  And I usually try to keep them pretty subdued or CAS.  Really the only embellishment on this card is this 3-D Papier Tole Die Cuts set called Victorian Roses.  So pretty and makes life so easy!

Hope you all have a great week and see you again soon!

Christmas Blessings in July!

Welcome to Our Daily Bread design's Alumni Team's bi-monthly For the Love Blog Hop!
This week the Alumni team along with some of the ODBD designers are featuring a hop For the Love of ODBD Christmas sets! Check out each link and leave a comment. If you get lost along the way, check the ODBD blog for full list of links.  One of the posts is a hop hot spot and a name will be drawn from that list of comments to win a $15 ODBD store gift certificate.  So, all you have to do is hop along and see all the creations and leave a little love!  You have until Wednesday, July 18th at 6 pm.   Enjoy all the festive inspiration using For the Love of ODBD Christmas sets!
I am your last stop, so if you arrived here from Lori's Lovely Blog, you are in the right place!  For my card today, I used the following:

I started by combining a couple of coordinating sheets of BoBunny Snowfall designer paper.  Then I stamped the Christmas Blessings sentiment and cut it out with a Spellbinders Oval.  Then I cut out a Spellbinders Floral Oval and stamped the Joy to the World Hymn on it.  I sponged the edges of each oval with distress ink and layered it over the lace and seam binding with foam tape.  I made a bow with Becca's Peg Bow Maker and then decided to cut the loops!  Then I just tied some hemp twine around it and glued the whole thing down with Beacon 3-in-1 glue.  The last little detail I added was a tiny bit of bling dotting the 'i' in Christmas!

We want to thank you for joining us today!
Now head back on over to the ODBD blog!  See you again soon!!!

Surging Sea

Hi there!  Got a quick masculine card for you today!
I made this for the Passionately Artistic Blog.
We invite you to share your latest projects at each Wednesday's Linking Party!

I didn't do this gorgeous ship image justice but it is what it is!  I will give it another shot next week!  This new ODBD set is called Surging Sea.  I stamped it and then sprayed it with Glacier Glimmer Mist.   It didn't really show up like I wanted so I sponged just a little bit with some blue ink.  The image is under a frame cut out with a Spellbinders Rectangle.    Then I just added the bow and the button!  The bow was made with Becca's Peg Bow Maker!  I just love this great tool!!

Anyway, thanks for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful day!
