Weddings and Birthdays and Christmas

Hey y'all!!
I hope you don't mind but I have three cards to share today!
This first one I made for my boss for his upcoming wedding!  They are using Fall colors for their wedding and so to try to keep the masculine feel, I chose Always Artichoke and then prettied it up (since it's a wedding!) with the Cream Neenah paper and the pearls.  The sentiment is from the Our Daily Bread designs' set called Love One Another.  I cut this out with a Spellbinders Circle.  The background is embossed with one of the Cuttlebug sets called Preserves.  I sprayed the background and the circle with Pearl Glimmer Mist and added a little bow I made with my Bow Easy!

Now for the leaves!

I stamped the leaf stamp from the newly released ODBD set called
Randi's Song three time with Stazon Brown ink.
I cut out each leaf and then I sprayed each one with the following Glimmer Mists: Brick, Olive Vine, Sweet Clover, Peach Delight, Creme de Chocolat and Pearl!  I  love how they turned out!  Glimmer Mist is gorgeous!!!  I just attached them at the bottom to complete the card!!!

Here is the second card:

I have been asked to make quite a few cards for a friend and this is one of them.  I followed this week's sketch challenge at the MOJO Monday Blog for my design.  I used Close to Cocoa and Naturals Vanilla Cardstocks.  The background is stamped with the new Wood Background from Our Daily Bread designs and is embossed with the Clockworks Cuttlebug Folder.  I then sponged Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink to highlight the embossing.  This wonderful image is called Keep My Lamp Burning from Our Daily Bread designs.  The word 'Son' is from the ODBD Dad set.  I sponged the lighthouse image with SU! Pumpkin Pie, Ballet Blue and Rose Red.  I used Creme de Chocolat Glimmer Mist on the whole card, added the ribbon and brads and done!

And here is card number three for the day!

This ODBD Wood Background is so beautiful!  I wanted to do a snowy background so stamped it with white and heat embossed it in white.  And I LOVE the new ODBD Snowflake die to match the Peace and Joy set!  It makes a perfect cut!!!  I used Bashful Blue for the snowflake and Stazon Brown for the sentiment.  I also used Spellbinders dies for the label.  I added a pretty Bow Easy bow and clear rhinestone and swirls.  The rhinestones look blue but they are really clear!

And that is it for today!  Thank you for taking the time to read my post today!  I really appreciate it!

Pearls and Pastels MOJO

Good Morning!  I made this for this week's MOJO Monday sketch and
The image is from the Our Daily Bread designs set called Sing to the Lord
and the sentiment is from the set called Love.  I colored the image with copic markers and
I sponged Barely Banana ink over the colored image.
The designer paper is by Memory Box and is embossed with the Kassie Cuttlebug
folder and sponged with Barely Banana and Tim Holtz Antique Linen inks.
I added pearls and Martha butterflies, pretty seam binding and bow made with my Bow Easy.
Finally, I sprayed the whole thing with Marshmallow Glimmer Mist

So glad you stopped by!  Have a wonderful day!

Happy Birthday Kelley!

Today is a very special day! Kelley, the owner of Our Daily Bread designs is celebrating her birthday! So I made this card for her. This beautiful ODBD image was released a couple of months ago and I really enjoy coloring it! I used copic markers to color it and then I used several layers of versamark and clear embossing powder to create the glassy look (not sure if you can see that in these photos!).

I embossed the SU! designer paper with a cuttlebug folder and sponged them with Riding Hood Red ink. I added an embossed border punched with a Martha border punch and finished the card with ribbon, brads and Martha butterflies. This sketch is from this week's Mojo Monday sketch. Also, the Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge this week is to create a card showing how the earth rejoices. One way that God shows His love for us is in the beauty of flowers, butterflies and the colors of nature. With the craziness and ugliness in our world, we need to stop and take in the beauty that surrounds us. Smell the flowers, watch a butterfly, see the colors of nature and remember that God is still here.

Kelley, I hope that you have a wonderful birthday!
Love ya!

Mojo Monday, Sisters in Christ, Soft Suede and an Award!

Hey there! Hope all is well! I've made a couple of cards this week and would like to share them with you. The first one is for the Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge this week! A sketch! I love these weekly challenges! So inspirational and fun! Give it a try! Of course I had to use one of this month's releases from Our Daily Bread designs called Friendship! I followed the sketch pretty closely but did add an extra little strip on the left edge. Hope that's ok! I stamped the dragonfly image in Sahara Sand ink onto Sahara Sand paper and stamped over that with Versamark and Dusty Durango and heat embossed in clear. I added lots of pearls I found that match well with Soft Suede, and a pretty dragonfly charm!

This card is for the Mojo Monday sketch and the color challenge this week to use Soft Suede, Pretty in Pink and Whisper White. Again, I used Our Daily bread designs September sets called Friendship and Thinking of You. The soft Suede designer paper is embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. I added lots of butterflies and pearls and some 'pretty' Pretty in Pink satin ribbon!

And last but not least, I got a wonderful award from the Midnight Madness team for last week's challenge card! What a wonderful surprise! I am so excited! If you haven't tried the Midnight Madness sketches, what are you waiting for? Thanks so much!!!!

Hope the rest of the week is full of blessings for you all! Thanks for stopping by!

Thank You Jesus!

You know, these new SU! in-colors are so regal aren't they? I like them and I tried not to! haha!
Well, here is another card I made with the new Jesus set from Our Daily Bread designs. I stamped Jesus with Always Artichoke stamped off once and then I used the Rich Razzleberry marker to color the verse before stamping it over the image. I used my cuttlebug to emboss the artichoke layer and a Spellbinders die to do the pretty strip of Rich Razzleberry paper. I cut the leaves with a SU! die in Soft Suede. I added Always Artichoke ribbon, the cross charm and gold cord, and the pearls to finish the card! The sketch I used is one of this week's MojoMonday celebration sketches! Thanks for looking! Have a wonderful and blessed Sunday!

Warm and Fuzzy Birthday Blessings

Hey everybody! I just finished this card for this week's color challenge, today's Ways to Use It challenge and one of this week's Mojo Monday sketches! This image is from one of this month's Our Daily Bread designs releases called Happy Birthday and it is so fun to color with copics! Such a versatile set! It's actually a watering can but I masked off the handle and spout so it would look more like a planter. I stamped the image twice so that I could cut out some of the flowers and paper tole them. I added Ivory Flower Soft for the WT to use something fuzzy on our project. The copics I used are C1,BG18,E00,E31,E33,E43,E51,E74,G21,G99. The image is layered with Taken with Teal and Vanilla and popped up over layers of Teal, Close to Cocoa, Close to Cocoa dsp, and Vanilla. The bottom cocoa strip is edged with an EK Success punch. The lacy border is cut with the Spellbinders Grand Classic Lace Border die. I sponged cocoa ink onto it before removing it from the die. I added some pretty lace sent to me by my friend Angel (Thanks Angel!) and some Martha Stewart butterflies and Hero Arts pearls. Also did some sponging here and there.

Central Park Thoughts

I love getting new stamps and paper! I just got the Central Park stamp set and pretty Urban Oasis designer paper from StampinUp! So pretty! I decided to try the Mojo Monday sketch for the first time too! The base card is Kraft. I layered the designer paper with black to make it show up nicely. The image is stamped with Soft Sky re-inker and the outline is Basic Gray. I stamped the sentiment with Memento black but really wanted it to say 'My' so I went rummaging through my stamps and found one from Hero Arts where I could just ink up that one word. I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to line it up. I cut out the rectangles with nesties. The black strip underneath is not ribbon! It's black cardstock. I used the photo corner punch to cut the triangle from the bottom! I punched a circle from the same dsp to place inside the hardware and threaded the Kraft satin ribbon through the holes to tie the bow. I added black butterflies to finish the card! Thanks for looking! I hope you have had a wonderful day!
