Happy Saturday!

I've got some more Christmas cards done for the month!  Isn't this a gorgeous image?!
This lovely Santa is by LaBlanche.

The image is cut out in various shapes and lightly sponged along the edges.
I colored in his face with copics.

I kept these clean and simple in keeping with my CAS Christmas card challenge to myself!
A few of the cards have some pretty lace, a snowflake, a button and a tiny bow.
Some just have embossing details.

So five more cards for the SCS Christmas Card Challenge for 2012
Well, I made six but one is already spoken for!

The ODBD October release is happening in just two more days!  See you again on October 1st!

Thanks for stopping by and hope your weekend is blessed beyond measure!

I'm a Little Behind...

Sorry to have been absent for so long.
My sweet sweet Grandmother passed away this last Friday on her 92nd birthday.  She was a beautiful person inside and out.  She loved the Lord, her family, babies and flowers.  She had the most amazing green thumb!  No, I didn't inherit that gene.  I think this photo is the last one I have with her.  She was already not feeling very well but she was still able to flash that sweet smile for the camera!  I will miss her terribly.

So I am trying to jump right back in the game today with a few cards I made several weeks ago.

All three cards are made with the new ODBD Lilacs set.

I colored the image in various shades of copic marker and cut out the image with a Spellbinders Oval.  I used a black marker to get the tiny border around the oval.  I framed it with the Spellbinders ODBD Custom Elegant Oval Die.  The black background is embossed with a cuttlebug folder and I added tiny pearls.  Then I added the lace bow and tiny Spellbinders tag to the Lilac image.  I sprayed the card with Glimmer Mist to complete the card.

For this one I colored the lilacs in vintage shades of brown copics.  I used the out of the box technique when I cut the image out with the Spellbinders Oval.  Romantic Rectangles make a beautifully shaped card base.  I added lace and pearls to complete this card.

And another vintage card!  I used vintage shades of lavender and blue and brown copics on the image and cut it out with the Spellbinders ODDB Custom Elegant Ovals Die.  I framed it with the Spellbinders Fleur de Lis die cut.  I dyed the seam binding with Glimmer Mist and wadded it up and let it dry to have the wrinkled look.  I made the bow with Becca's Peg Bow Maker.  I topped it off with a pretty button and crochet thread.

Ok well, that is all for today!  I hope you all have a blessed day and I will see you again soon!

I don't know about you but I can feel Fall coming!!!  Yay!!!

If you arrived here from Grace's blog you are on the right track!
All you have to do for a chance to win is leave a comment on each designers' blog post.  If you get lost along the way, check the ODBD blog for full list of links.  One of the posts is a hop hot spot and a name will be drawn from that list of comments to win a $15 ODBD store gift certificate.
You have until Wednesday, September, 26th at 6 pm.
For my first project today, I used the Pumpkin set from the Garden Collection.
This wonderful image has a custom die too!!!  So fun!

I colored the image with copic markers and then used the die to cut it out.  I popped it up over some gorgeous Spellbinders Marvelous Squares,  one cut out and two embossed!  Loving these Marvelous Squares y'all!!!  I used a Spellbinders Tag to cut out the word Pumpkin.  That is it!  Didn't take long at all to make this card!

And here is my second project!  A matching gift tag!

I used the Garden Tag Set with the matching Tag Die.

There is a tiny little pumpkin that is exactly like the larger one!!  I colored it and then used a Spellbinders die to cut it out.  It is popped up over the ODBD Custom Fence Die.

I added a pretty bow made with Becca's Peg Bow Maker seen HERE. Then added twine and more seam binding at the top of the tag.  I partially masked a sentiment to create the little sentiment tag.  I also sponged the edges with Antique Linen ink.

That's all folks!!  LOL!!!

Now, head on over to the fabulous blog
of the talented and sweet Jan!

Thank you so much for hopping with us today!!  Enjoy!

He Cares About You

Hello!

I remember where I was and what I was doing eleven years ago today.   I remember the shock and the fear.  I remember the sadness and the prayers.  I remember.  I can never forget.  I am praying for all of the families of loved ones lost on that day.  Praying for your hearts to be comforted.

I love the scripture on my card today.  Just knowing that God cares for me gives me great comfort!

This scripture is part of the new ODBD  Scripture Series 3 set.

The Shining the Light Challenge at ODBD this week is to use birds.  I used a pretty chipboard bird by Prima adding a pearl to her eye.  And look at those Spellbinders Marvelous Squares!  I am totally in love with them!!!  And the Bitty Blossoms too!!!  I am having so much fun making those little flowers!  I completed the card by adding a few more pearls to the corners and the flower centers.

I really appreciate you visiting with me today!  God bless you!

Be Joyful and a New Blog Candy Winner

Hi there!!!  Hope you all have had a great weekend!

I have another card to share using the new Be Joyful set from Our Daily Bread designs!

This time I only used one of the sentiments but I did use some new Spellbinders I just received.  I have been wanting the Bitty Blossoms since they first came out and finally got them.  I need some more practice but I love how they turned out anyway!   I also used the new Scalloped Labels One!  This is such a pretty compliment to Labels One and I love it!  I used two sided designer paper in my scrap bin so I don't remember who makes it.  The red flowers are actually the backside of the background papers.  I sponged Antique Linen ink on all edges and embossing.  Here is a closer view:

Love the Lord

Happy Saturday!!!  Hope you are having a beautiful start to your weekend!

Blog Candy Update:
I hope to hear from scrappingnana by 8pm today.
Please contact me at sshanabrough@gmail.com
If not, I will be drawing another name and announcing it tomorrow.

I wanted to share another card using one of the new ODBD releases, Scripture Series 3!

I was inspired by these beautiful plates from French Garden House for the inspiration challenge today at Splitcoast.  I used some gorgeous papers and trims and a cameo that a sweet DT sister sent to me!  The background is embossed with a Cuttlebug folder and I sponged the edges of the background and the ovals with brown ink.  I glued the seam binding down in ruffles and then glued the bow I made with Becca's Peg Bow Maker!  Topped it off with the cameo!  The ovals are ODBD Custom Elegant Ovals dies by Spellbinders.

Thank you so much for stopping by!  Hope you have a wonderful day!

And The Winner Is...

Good morning friends!!!  Hope you are having a great week!

I am announcing the winner of my blog candy today!!
Who is it?  Who is it?

First, I have a couple of cards to share today featuring the new Be Joyful set from Our Daily Bread designs!  This is such a fun set!  With two lovely images and so many great sentiments, this is a must have for your stamp collection!

I rarely make yellow cards but somehow I just felt yellow would be perfect for this set!  I made a frame with the negative piece after cutting out a Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Square.  I colored the image with copics to match the card stock and added tiny green Zva pearls to their centers.  Then I made a pretty bow with my Becca Peg Bow Maker and added it to complete the card!  Oh and I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to make the correct placement of the birthday sentiment!

This is being submitted to the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge this week to make a birthday card and also to this week's Word Art Wednesday Challenge.

This next card is even more CAS!

I used the smaller of the images this time, coloring it with copics.  I stamped it again and cut out the flowers to add to the card to give it a little dimension.  I also added a little sparkly to the flower centers.  I stamped the sentiment 3 times in a haphazard way along side the image.  Then I added a tiny bow on the stem.  The embossed edges were done by embossing with a Spellbinders Square die.

And now, it's time for the announcement of the winner for my blog candy!!!

Drum Roll Please...
