Be Inspired 107-Mercy and Love

Hi everyone!  Hope you all are enjoying a beautiful Fall!
This week the Passionately Artistic Blog team is sharing more ideas for Fall and Halloween.  Our challenge was to use the colors: green, orange, black, purple and a splash of red.  I used a muted version of those colors (More Mustard, Old Olive, Perfect Plum) for a little different take from the usual bright Fall colors.  I used a stamp set from Our Daily Bread designs called Randi's Song.  I stamped the leaves and cut them out.  Then I sprayed them with Brick Glimmer Mist to get that pop of red.  The background is embossed with the pear folder from the Preserves embossing set by Provocraft.
I added black ribbon and black buttons to finish the card!
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Snow Obsession

Hi there!  I've had this adorable Impression Obsession stamp for a while and decided today was the day to play with it!  I used the today's color challenge on SCS,  Crumb Cake (I used Kraft), Blushing Bride ( I used Blush Blossom) and Baja Breeze (I used SU! Manchester designer paper).  The designer paper is embossed with the Cuttlebug Houndstooth folder and is sprayed with Marshmallow Glimmer Mist.  The lace is threaded with Kraft ribbon and the bow is made with my Bow Easy.  I colored the image with copic markers, added some Polar White Flower Soft and sprayed it with the same Glimmer Mist.  The image is framed with a Spellbinders square and pink pearls.   Thanks so much for stopping by!  Enjoy the rest of your week!

Joy and a Sneak Peek

Good morning!  This Our Daily Bread designs set is so pretty!  It's called Missing You.  I colored it with copics and cut it out and matted it with spellbinders dies.  The Prima designer paper is embossed with a Cuttlebug folder from the Preserves collection.  I laced seam binding through the strip along the side and added an old button.  The butterflies are from Prima too!  So pretty!  I followed last week's sketch at Splitcoast for my design.  And now, I have a sneak peek at one of the new ODBD sets coming out Dec 1st!

This is a new set called Poinsettia Tag Set and there is a die to fit perfectly!!!!  I colored the image with copics, stamped the poinsettia two more times to cut extra petals out and layer and added the sentiment on a spellbinders scalloped oval.  The designer paper is Memory Box and is embossed with a Cuttlebug folder from the Preserves collection.  I added a pretty Bow Easy bow and lots of pearls and a button!

You're gonna love these sets!
Don't forget our blog hop on the first starting with the ODBD Blog!
We're excited to have you join us!

Be Inspired Wednesday #106

Good morning y'all!  Fall is definitely in the air isn't it?  I love it!!!
The design team at Passionately Artistic (formerly Cuttlebug Challenge Blog)
has created all sorts of fun Fall and Halloween themed projects to inspire you!
I wrapped a candy bar with some pretty Fall themed K & Co designer paper and used another sheet
from the  same pack, after embossing it with a folder from the Provocraft Cuttlebug Preserves Collection.  There is a layer of Mellow Moss paper under the embossed layer.  The leaves from the Randi's Song stamp set by Our Daily Bread designs are sponged and glimmered with shades of green and pink inks and Glimmer Mist.  I wrapped a piece of tulle and hemp thread to make a bow.  Then I attached a little Spellbinders tag.  The sentiment on the tag is masked from a larger stamp in the ODBD set called God Loves You.  A quick way to dress up a sweet gift!  Hope you have a wonderful day and thank so much for stopping by!

Dad's Birthday

Hello!  Hope you are enjoying a wonderful weekend!  I wanted to show you this card I made using this week's sketch on SCS.  This also fits the Anything Goes challenge on the ODBD blog.  The background paper is by K & Co and is embossed with the SU! Lattice folder.  The leaves and Dad sentiment are both from ODBD sets, Randi's Song and Dad.  I stamped and cut out the leaves and then sprayed them with several colors of Glimmer Mists and also sponged with several colors of SU! inks.  I finished the card with buttons and a bow.  I am giving this to my sweet father-in-law who is celebrating his birthday tomorrow.   Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a great week!

Such a Blessing

Hi everyone!  I made this for this week's Midnight Madness sketch!
Shh!  I have a secret to tell you about this card!
I like to use foam tape to pop things up on my projects.
Well, of all things I am completely out of foam tape!  What to do? What to do?
I found some scraps of thin chipboard from packaging and cut a few squares to the sizes
I needed to pop up the Spellbinders squares on my card!  I did have to double up the
chipboard to make it work better but hey, it beats going to the store!!!  And no one will ever know!
Oh wait!  I guess now lots of people know!!  LOL!!

Here are the supplies I used:

Neenah card stock
SU! designer paper
Cuttlebug Preserves embossing folder
SU! ribbon
Pearls
Spellbinders dies
Martha Stewart punch
Flower

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I really love having you!

Passionately Artistic!

Good morning!

There are some exciting things happening with the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog these days!
One of the biggest changes is the name!  We will now officially be called:

Cool name huh?

So, this week we are using products from PK Glitz!  This beautiful glitter is so great to work with! They have these great images on acrylic that you can glue the glitter to the backside and it really turns out so pretty!  I used their Leaf Branch image.  The glitter colors are Eclipse, Poppy Jasper and Squash Blossom.  I also used the Squash Blossom glitter on the Spellbinders frame I cut out with PK Glitz sticky paper! So pretty!
The designer paper is SU! and is embossed with the Preserves Cuttlebug Folder.
The scripture stamp is from Our Daily Bread designs.
Hope you like it!  Keep watching the Passionately Artistic site for more changes!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great week!

Happy Birthday Kelley!!!

Hi everyone!!!  Thanks for coming to our surprise birthday blog hop for our wonderful Kelley!  Kelley is the owner of Our Daily Bread designs and we all just love working with her and her beautiful inspiring stamps!  If you arrived here from Grace's blog you are heading in the right direction!
So for our surprise today, we all created cards using older sets, to send to her to update her boards that she takes with her from show to show.  I recently had the opportunity to visit with her at a show about two hours away from my house and man oh man, her booth just blew me away!!!  Here are a couple of pics:

I had so much fun and Kelley is so very sweet!  Kelley, have a wonderful birthday my friend!

Here are the details of my card:

I decided to use her Angel stamp set form 2008.  What a wonderful set to use for the Christmas holidays! I colored the angel with copic markers to match this gorgeous Memory Box Spearmint designer paper.  The designer paper layer is embossed with the Cuttlebug Ribbons folder and sponged with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Ink.  I added some beautiful lace behind the sentiment and angel and ribbon.  The Spellbinders Classic Oval die-cut is sponged lightly in the center with Tim Holtz Antique Linen Ink and layered over Spellbinders Big Scallop Oval die-cut.  I made the bow with my Bow Easy and I sprayed Marshmallow Glimmer Mist over the whole card!  Really gives it a nice shimmer!  And to finish the card, I added the rhinestone swirls and glittery pearls.  That's it!  Hope you like it Kelley!  I'll get this to you right away!!!!

The next three designer's blogs on our special birthday hop today are:

and then right back to the ODBD Blog!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KELLEY!!!!

Be Inspired #104

Good morning!!!

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and this week
the Cuttlebug Challenge Team has created cards to honor
those who have been affected with this cancer!
Here's is another reminder to go get your yearly mammograms!!!
Don't forget!

For my card today,  I embossed the Anna Griffin designer paper with the Provocraft Cuttlebug Embossing Folder Kassie's Brocade #20-00215, and sponged it with SU! Blush Blossom ink.  The cardstock is Neenah Cream and SU! Blush Blossom.  The sentiment is from a set by Our Daily Bread designs called Pray and the ribbon is from ODBD's set called Hope.  I used a Spellbinders oval to cut out the sentiment and layered it with a Spellbinders scalloped oval.  I stamped the ribbon onto a coordinating piece of designer paper and cut it out.  Do you see the gorgeous pink lace?  My Mom scored this recently at her local thrift store!!!  LOVE it!  I finished the card with pink pearls and a pretty bow I made with my Bow Easy.  I also added a pearly pink brad to the bow center!!!

Thank you so much for visiting with me today!!!

Weddings and Birthdays and Christmas

Hey y'all!!
I hope you don't mind but I have three cards to share today!
This first one I made for my boss for his upcoming wedding!  They are using Fall colors for their wedding and so to try to keep the masculine feel, I chose Always Artichoke and then prettied it up (since it's a wedding!) with the Cream Neenah paper and the pearls.  The sentiment is from the Our Daily Bread designs' set called Love One Another.  I cut this out with a Spellbinders Circle.  The background is embossed with one of the Cuttlebug sets called Preserves.  I sprayed the background and the circle with Pearl Glimmer Mist and added a little bow I made with my Bow Easy!

Now for the leaves!

I stamped the leaf stamp from the newly released ODBD set called
Randi's Song three time with Stazon Brown ink.
I cut out each leaf and then I sprayed each one with the following Glimmer Mists: Brick, Olive Vine, Sweet Clover, Peach Delight, Creme de Chocolat and Pearl!  I  love how they turned out!  Glimmer Mist is gorgeous!!!  I just attached them at the bottom to complete the card!!!

Here is the second card:

I have been asked to make quite a few cards for a friend and this is one of them.  I followed this week's sketch challenge at the MOJO Monday Blog for my design.  I used Close to Cocoa and Naturals Vanilla Cardstocks.  The background is stamped with the new Wood Background from Our Daily Bread designs and is embossed with the Clockworks Cuttlebug Folder.  I then sponged Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink to highlight the embossing.  This wonderful image is called Keep My Lamp Burning from Our Daily Bread designs.  The word 'Son' is from the ODBD Dad set.  I sponged the lighthouse image with SU! Pumpkin Pie, Ballet Blue and Rose Red.  I used Creme de Chocolat Glimmer Mist on the whole card, added the ribbon and brads and done!

And here is card number three for the day!

This ODBD Wood Background is so beautiful!  I wanted to do a snowy background so stamped it with white and heat embossed it in white.  And I LOVE the new ODBD Snowflake die to match the Peace and Joy set!  It makes a perfect cut!!!  I used Bashful Blue for the snowflake and Stazon Brown for the sentiment.  I also used Spellbinders dies for the label.  I added a pretty Bow Easy bow and clear rhinestone and swirls.  The rhinestones look blue but they are really clear!

And that is it for today!  Thank you for taking the time to read my post today!  I really appreciate it!
