Sneak Peek Time!!!

Hi everyone!!  Have you had a great week?  I hope so!  And I hope you all have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!  I wanted to share a little sneak peek of a new stamp that will be released from Our Daily Bread designs on June 1st.  It is called Save Time and is part of a new collection called The Blessings Collection.  So how many of you remember this song?  I know I sang it over and over again once upon a time!  One of my favorites!!  This particular verse from the song is beautiful!  Kelley has some really gorgeous sets coming out so be prepared!!!  You're gonna love 'em!!!

Ok for my card, I went a little button crazy!  Sorry, I couldn't help myself!!  If you don't like buttons, turn away, turn away!  LOL!!!  I followed the Midnight Madness sketch this week and also the Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge to create a card of encouragement with touches of silver.  The designer paper is embossed with the ODBD Vintage Border embossing plate and inked up with a distress ink pad.  After the seam binding, lace, butterflies, pearls and massive amounts of buttons (and the touches of silver!),  I sprayed the whole thing with Glimmer Mist in Simply Khaki and Dazzling Diamonds!

Here are the supplies I used:

Neenah Cream card stock
SU! card stock and designer paper
Lace and Seam Binding and Bow Easy
Spellbinders Dies and Grand Calibur
Buttons, Pearl Swirls and Martha Butterflies
Silver Elastic Thread
Glimmer Mists

Thanks so much for stopping by!  See you again soon!!!

Lace and Blessings

Good morning!  Today on the Passionately Artistic Blog we are continuing our showcase of projects using lace!  Um...I love lace!!!!  Can you tell?  LOL!!!  I made this with one of this month's new sets from Our Daily Bread designs created by Lorelie Kim!  Great little sentiments just right for card making.  There are three of these new sets that were created to fit in the Spellbinders Fancy Tags Trio Three set.  I did not use those particular dies though, because I wanted to show how well they fit in other Spellbinders dies.  The background is the cover sheet to a pack of Webster's Pages designer paper!  I thought it was so pretty all on it's own!  Sort of looks like a quilt!  I did emboss it with the ODBD Vintage Border embossing plate for a little texture.  I attached the lace and did the ribbon treatment with Beacon 3-in-1 glue.  No sewing needed when you have good glue, huh?  Please stop by the Passionately Artistic Blog to see other inspiration and to show us what you made using lace!  We love it when you share!  Thanks so much for looking!  Also, I wanted to mention that Our Daily Bread designs has some gorgeous new sets coming out on the first of June!  Be on the look out!!  See you soon!

Here are the supplies I used for my project today:

ODBD Mini Tags 1 set
Webster's Pages designer paper cover sheet
ODBD Vintage Border embossing plate
Various Spellbinders
Lace, ribbon, organdy ribbon
Bow Easy
Beacon 3-in-i glue
Distressing tool
Neenah card stock
SU! card stock
SU! pearls
Martha butterfly punch

Refreshing....

Hi y'all!  Here is a card I made for the "Say What?" challenge last Friday on SCS!!  This is another card where I did some 'doodling' by piecing together papers and leftovers from other projects.  Yes, I save too many scraps of things and the stuff has piled up.  So I gotta do lots of doodling!!  LOL!!  The focal point of my card is this beautiful scripture from one of the new Our Daily Bread designs sets this month called Porch.  One thing I did on this card that I have probably only done one other time, is paint the edges of the designer paper with acrylic paint.  Also behind the seam binding bow is lace that I stitched along the edge and pulled to make the circle.

Here are the supplies I used:

Neenah White and Cream card stock
Webster's Pages designer paper
Lace and seam binding and Bow Easy
Stazon Black ink
Vintage White Folk Art acrylic paint
Martha Stewart butterflies

Thank you for popping in tonight!  It's almost the weekend!!!!

Encourage Someone Today

I seem to be giving this type of card a lot in recent years.  When I am going through sad or stressful times in my life, the more I hear of others that are in need of encouragement and prayer.  Please make some time today to encourage someone you know.  Everyone is going through something...

This is for the Passionately Artistic Blog Be Inspired Wednesday post today.  The background is a piece of designer paper (I'm sorry but I can't remember the manufacturer) adhered to a piece of card stock and then embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder using my Cuttlebug.

Here is a list of supplies I used:

Neenah White card stock and SU! Mellow Moss card stock
Unknown designer paper
Sizzix Embossing folder and Cuttlebug Machine
SU! Pearls
Spellbinders Oval and Scalloped Oval
Lace
EKSuccess Border Punch

I hope you have a wonderful day today!  Thanks for stopping by!

A Recipe Challenge!

No,  I'm not cooking!  LOL!!

1. Use at least two die cut shapes
2. Have a dry embossed background
3. Use one sentiment

For my background I used a piece of K & Company designer paper and embossed it with the Vintage Border Embossing plate (new this month from ODBD).  I rubbed a Tim Holtz Antique Linen ink pad across it to highlight the embossing.  The image and sentiment are from the new ODBD Porch set.  This image just evokes tranquility and peace.  I colored it with copic markers, added the sentiment underneath and cut it out with a Square Spellbinders die. This is matted with another piece of the same designer paper and then framed with a Spellbinder Fleur de Lis Square die cut.  I finished the card with a little ribbon and some Zva pearls in the lime shade!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!!  Hope you have a peaceful weekend!

Happy Birthday Tag

Hello there!!  Playing again here!  My play time last night was therapy after a long day at work!  This took less than 30 minutes to create while watching television!  These new tags from Our Daily Bread designs help make things easy!  I used Mini Tags 3 set.  I cut out the Spellbinders Tag Trio Three die and the sentiment with the Spellbinders oval with my Grand Calibur.  I then ran the Webster's Pages designer paper through my Cuttlebug with the Kassie's Brocade embossing folder.  Then it was just a matter of putting everything together!    The card stock is Neenah Cream and SU! Blushing Bride.  I added Martha butterflies and ZVA pearls and pretty pink organdy ribbon.  I made the bow with my Bow Easy.  That's it!  Thanks for stopping by tonight!  Hope you have a great week and see you soon!

Butterfly Blessings and Prayers

Good Morning!  I have a couple of cards to show you today!  This first card is for two challenges!

The background is Core'dinations paper embossed with the Vintage Border Embossing Plate which was just released this month from ODBD.  I sanded the embossing to show the inner core of the paper.  The tag is made with another new ODBD set called Mini Tags 1, one of three new Mini Tag sets created by our own Lorelie Kim!  The ODBD butterfly and the tag are heat embossed with white embossing powder.  The beautiful lace is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I added some Spellbinders Parisian Accents and pearls to complete the card!

For this card, I went a little artsy with a sheet from a Webster's Pages pack.  It is embossed with the ODBD Vintage Border Embossing Plate and rubbed with Tim Holtz Antique Linen ink pad to show the embossing.  The sentiment is from the ODBD Mini Tags 3 set stamped on a Spellbinders Scalloped Oval.  The edge was created with and EKSuccess punch, lace, pearls and trim.  I added Want2Scrap black bling and little pearls to the Martha butterflies to complete the card!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  See you again soon!

Now on to my project….

I had fun creating this card!  It's sort of like doodling for cards!  Lots of different elements still lying on my desk from other projects, put together to make a card!  I absolutely love this new Vintage Border Embossing Plate!  I used it to emboss a sheet from a Webster's Pages pack and then sponged over it to show the embossing better.   I used the vintage border from the new Porch set created by Dina Kowal, to create the two borders, it is stamped and cut in half.  I did a little bit of fussy cutting toward the bottom to drape over one of the borders.  The Spellbinders Parisian Accents border was a discard from another project and I thought the colors went well, so added that as an easel of sorts for the scripture.
I continued doodling with pearls, flowers and butterflies to complete the card!

***Isn't this scripture a great reminder to let God's presence into your heart
so that He can refresh your life?***

Here is a list of supplies I used:

Neenah White and SU! Sahara Sand card stocks
Webster's Pages designer paper
SU! Sahara Sand and Memento Black inks
EK Success border punch
Martha Butterfly punch
Zva pearls and little flowers from Michaels
Clear rhinestones

Your next stop is the amazing Becca's blog!  Thank you so much for joining us today!  Enjoy!!!
