The Mighty Ages

Hi there!  Hope you are having a great Saturday!  I wanted to share a little sneak peek of a couple of new sets coming out on the first from Our Daily Bread designs!  The Tulip Corner is colored with copic markers, cut out and folded a little to make them a little closer together than is originally stamped image.  Once the set is released you will see what I mean!  The quote stamp is from a new set called Eternity!  I stamped this on Neenah white and it is cut out with a new Spellbinders die designed exclusively for ODBD!  The background is Anna Griffin paper and I layered it with SU! Crumb Cake card stock.  The base card is also Neenah White.  The tulips and quote are tucked behind several strands of lace and SU! seam binding.  I made the bow with my Bow Easy and attached a button with another snip of lace.  The ODBD team has a lot of things in store for March, beginning with our Release Day Blog Hop on the first.  You won't want to miss a thing!  See you again soon!!!

C is for Cake

Good morning!  Today I have a cute little birthday card to show you that I made for the Passionately Artistic Blog!  This adorable ATC image is by October Afternoon!  So cute!!!  This will be perfect for one of my little granddaughters!  The Cosmo Cricket DeLovely designer paper in the background is embossed with a Cuttlebug folder from the Preserves collection.  I matched it up with SU! So Saffron card stock and ribbon and a Bow Easy bow.  The base card is Neenah White.  I punched out a bunch of little flowers with a SU! punch and glued them along the edge in a random pattern.  Then I added the white flower centers with my i-roc tool by Imaginisce!  I used an EKSuccess punch for the lace border and added stickles lightly to the flowers and also to embellish the birthday cake!
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Hope you have a great day!

Grace's Frame and Lavender Roses

Hi there!  I was playing again late last night and made this card with the Anchor set by Our Daily Bread designs.  I just love this sentiment as it is perfect for encouragement cards!  I used a base of Neenah Cream card stock and then topped it with White.  The background is embossed with the cuttlebug Grace's Frame embossing folder.  I then added the lace from my stash.  The sentiment is stamped and then cut out with a Spellbinders circle and layered with a Spellbinders Lotus pendant.  This is popped up over the lace and I added a pretty Bow Easy bow and three pretty little lavender roses.  Pearls complete the card!  I really like how this Grace's frame looks with the Spellbinders pendant!  This will make a great encouragement card but this design would be pretty for a wedding card I think!  Thanks for popping in today for a visit!  See you again soon!

The Restless Sea Around Me

Good morning to you!  Happy President's Day!  I am enjoying a beautiful day off!!!  And what do I do on my day off?  Duh!!!  LOL!!!  I made this card for the Midnight Madness #91 sketch and the Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge #76 to use green.  I used a beautiful sentiment from the Anchor set released this month by Our Daily Bread designs and also one of the little Fleur de Lis borders! **And look!  This is a sneak peek of a new and beautiful die that Spellbinders created just for Our Daily Bread designs!  How cool is that?!!!  And just wait because, ODBD has a stamp set coming out very soon to coordinate with this die set!  You are gonna love it!!!**  For my background, I ran the Core'dinations card stock through my cuttlebug with the ODBD Fish embossing plate and sanded it to show the green core.   I used the copic air compressor thing to get the green inside the die.  My first time trying it, and I didn't do that great of a job.  I used an EKSuccess border punch for the lacy border at the bottom.  The seam binding is SU! and the snip of lace is from my stash.  I added tons of Zva pearl swirls as well as Zva green pearls for accents! Thanks for stopping by and see you again soon!!!

Ride Out The Storm

Hey y'all!  Here is a card I made using the new Our Daily Bread designs stamp set called Anchor!  The image and sentiment is stamped in Not Quite Navy.  The sentiment is masked and the remainder of it is on the inside.  It says: Other times He calms the restless sea around us.  The core'dinations paper is embossed with ODBD's new Fish embossing plate, and then sanded to show the core center of the paper.  The base card and image panel is Neenah White card stock and I used SU! Bordering Blue to match the core'dinations paper.  I just added lace, ribbon and pretty silver bling to complete the card!  Thank you all so much for visiting!  Hope to see you again soon!

For My Valentine

Good morning!  The Passionately Artistic Team is once again providing Valentine inspiration!
I made this card for my Valentine!

I started my card with a base of Neenah card stock in white and layered up with a piece of red card stock from StampinUp! and a piece of Teresa Collins designer paper which is embossed with the Heart Blocks Cuttlebug Folder.  I punched a strip of white with an EKSuccess border punch and added this to the card.  Then I stamped the beautiful enter-twined hearts image from the Our Daily Bread designs set called Love One Another using Memento Black ink and then colored it with copic markers to match the dark red paper.  I used a Spellbinders circle die to cut out the image and layered it with a Spellbinders Eyelet circle die cut.  I laced the SU! seam binding through each eyelet and tied the ends in a pretty bow.  This is attached to the card with foam tape.  To finish the card, I added bling from Want2Scrap and sprayed the card with Tattered Angels Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist.  Hope my Valentine likes it!!!  :)

Have wonderful day and thanks for visiting!

Sweet Love

Hi there!  I decided to play in a few challenges and so made this card late last night.

#26-Dies or Punches
#27-Texture It
#43-Something Old, Something New

This beautiful heart image is an Our Daily Bread designs image from 2009 called Love One Another.  I colored it with copics to match the K & Co designer paper which is embossed with the Cassie's Brocade embossing folder.  I just recently bought this paper so that is my something new.  The buttons and lace are from my stash and are my 'old' ingredient.  Hope you like it!  Have a wonderful day!

Scrapbooking with ODBD Stamps!

I would rather Walk with God in the Dark than go Alone in the Light.
Mary Gardiner Brainard

 Good morning!

I don't usually share too much of my personal life here but I really wanted to show you what I made for my daughter and her hubby for Christmas!  I made scrapbook pages of each of my grandchildren and put them in great scrapbook frames I purchased from Michael's.  I waited for a good sale since I was buying four of them!  And each page has a wonderful sentiment or scripture stamped on it with Our Daily Bread designs stamps!  ODBD stamps are great for all paper crafts, from card making to scrap-booking to altered items!
The photo above is my oldest granddaughter, my beautiful sweet Eileen!
She is so smart and wants to be an astronaut when she grows up!

In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps.
Proverbs16:9

I kept all of the layouts simple and uniform.  I used Core'dinations card stock on each background in black and a mustard color to match the decor of my daughter's home.  Each photo was taken by me!  I printed them in black and white.  This is my adorable grandson Merrick and he is all boy!  He is full of energy and has a wonderful, quirky sense of humor like his Grandpa and Uncle Clay!

How great is the Love the Father has lavished on us that we should be called Children of God!
1 John 3:1

I dressed up each of the girls pages with beautiful lace, tulle, pretty winged embellishments and
little pink rhinestones!  For Merrick's page, I added ribbon and Spellbinders key die cuts to keep the masculine feel.  The above photo is sweet little Adalynn on her third birthday.
Addie is the little mommy and she is just as beautiful as her big sister!

Grow in Grace...
2 Peter 3:18

And this is little Eva Karis!  We were just blessed with her arrival on October 31st!  They are calling her Karis which means Grace in the Greek language.  She is growing like a little weed and already shows the same signs of beauty as her sisters!  It is so fun to see her grow during this first year!

Here is a photo of how they look on their wall.

What do you think?  I love how they look together!  I am so blessed!
My daughter added a great wall decal she purchased through Back40Life.

Well, thanks for staying with me through this long post!
And thanks for letting me show my Grammie side for a little bit!
God has been good to me!

Here are the supplies I used:

Core'dinations cardstock
Tulle and Ribbon and Lace
Wood Embellishment and Pink Rhinestones and Screw Head Brads
Spellbinders Key die and thin chipboard and key chain thingie

It's Almost Valentine's Day!

Hello!  Glad you are here today!!

If you are here for the Our Daily Bread blog hop that began yesterday morning
and ends tonight at 8pm please go HERE!!!

The Passionately Artistic Blog is continuing with the Valentine's Day theme today!  My card was quick and easy to make except for the stickles drying time!  I used a sheet of Cosmo Cricket DeLovely designer paper and embossed it with the Cuttlebug Hearts folder.  The strip at the bottom is punched with an EKSuccess border punch.  I added ribbon and the pink flower rhinestone.  The image is called Heart Tree by Stampabilites.  I colored the hearts with copics to match the designer paper colors.  The sentiment is masked from The SU! set called Lots of Thoughts.  After cutting out the image and the layers behind it with Spellbinders Ovals, I added pink stickles to the pink hearts and Stardust stickles to the yellow hearts.  And that is that!  This really didn't didn't take more than 30 minutes or so except for the drying time!  Most of my cards take about 1 to 2 hours to make so this was nice!

Thank you for stopping by today!  Hope you have a wonderful day!

The Hop will run from 8am eastern Feb. 1 until 8pm Feb. 2. Winners will be announced on the ODBD Blog on Feb. 3rd!  Kelley is giving away SIX prizes this month! FIVE people will win one Single Fish Stamp of their choice, and ONE blessed person will win the FEBRUARY BREAD BASKET BUNDLE!

To be eligible to win, here is what you have to do:

  • Return to the ODBD Blog and tell us you completed the hop, letting us know if there were any blogs you could not comment on
  • Answer the question on the ODBD blog… you do not need to answer it on the designer’s blogs… just the ODBD blog
I chose to make a card using one of the scriptures in the Anchor set!

The background card stock designer paper is from My Mind's Eye and is embossed with a SU! embossing folder.  I then sewed this piece onto another piece of the same paper.  I stamped the scripture with Stazon Brown ink and used my Grand Calibur to cut out the oval and a scalloped oval mat.  I trimmed off a tiny bit of one end of the oval to help it fit with my design.  I then added the trims, a pretty Bow Easy bow and the pearls and button.  The last touch was a couple of sprays of Pearl glimmer Mist!

Here are the supplies used:

Neenah Cream card stock
My Mind's Eye Kraft card stock
Spellbinders Grand Calibur and Oval/Scalloped Oval dies
SU! Embossing folder
Sewing Machine
Seam Binding and Lace
SU! border punch
Pearls and a button
Pearl Glimmer Mist

Thanks so much for hopping along with us today!  I know you are going to love this month's stamps!
