Love you...

Hi there!  Hope you are having a great weekend!

I have a couple of cards to share featuring two of the new sets from North Coast Creations!

My first card is actually a combination of the two sets.  The silhouette image is heat embossed in white.  The paper is My Mind's Eye Market and I used white ink to ink the edges of each layer.  The background layer is embossed with Spellbinders Adorning Squares.  I added some pretty lace that a sweet friend sent to me along with a pretty seam binding bow I made with Becca's Peg Bow Maker.  The flower is Prima. I added lots of tiny pearls to complete the card!

Here is my second card:

Is it my eyes or is my photo blurry?

This time I made the base with Spellbinders Timeless Rectangles.  The designer paper is MME Blush and is inked on the edges with TH distress ink Spun Sugar.  The image is cut out with ODBD/Spellbinders Elegant Oval and the bow is made with Becca's Peg Bow Maker.  Lots of tiny black rhinestones complete this card!

Thanks you so much for stopping by!  See you again soon!

Another Precious Boy

Hey again!
I made this for the Mix-Ability challenge on Splitcoast to use black for shading.   I have never done a monochromatic card using copics before!  I don't think it's exactly what the challenge was meant to be but it was still interesting!

The image is from the new ODBD set called Precious Boy.  The little tag for the sentiment is from the ODBD/Spellbinders Recipe Card and Tags dies. And the bow was made with Becca's Peg Bow Maker!

On Your Baptism

Hello!  Here is a card I made which features the new ODBD set called Precious Boy.
Recently, my Mom sent me a sweet card of encouragement. (Love you Mom!)
The card was a tri-fold that I knew I had to try to recreate!

I used the Spellbinders Grand Nestabilities Scalloped Oval to create the top flap of the card.
I stamped the little praying boy and colored him up with copic colors to match the designer paper.  Then I added the little bible charm!

Here is a look at the second flap of the card.  I added the designer paper which is embossed and then I stamped the sentiment.

And here is what the inside looks like:

More designer paper and a sweet little quote!

That's it!!!  Here is a look at the new set:

You Melt My Heart!

Hello!  Hope you are doing good today!

Let me be the first to say that I did not complain one time about the cold this last winter.  Not even once.  However, I do believe I will complain about the heat!  We will get to 90 today.  YUK!  I really dislike the heat!  But if I had a yummy Popsicle like this one I would feel better.  Agree?

This card is very CAS.  Just a little copic coloring and stickles.  The popsicle from the NCC set called You're the Bomb! and is popped up for a little dimension and that's it!  C. A. S.  LOL!!!

Here is the set from North Coast Creations!

Thanks for taking a look!  See you again soon!

Greater Love

Hello again!  My second card of the day!  WooHoo!

Here is one I made with the new Home of the Free set from Our Daily Bread designs!  First I stamped the Gingham Background in a muted red and then stamped the stars in blue.  Then I embossed it for a quilted look.  I stamped the sentiment and cut it out with the ODBD/Spellbinders Elegant Oval and I stamped a few more stars to cut out and add to the panel.  I also stamped and cut out a few little USA banners.  And then I added a pretty bow I made with Becca's Peg Bow maker!

Color Blocking

A couple of weeks ago SCS had a tutorial on color blocking.  I have done this before but it has been a long while.  You just take several scrap pieces of card stock and glue them down to a piece of white card stock and then trim to the size you want!  Not hard and makes a nice statement.

I used my color blocked piece for a background for this cute little ice cream cone!  This is part of the new North Coast Creations set called What's the Scoop?  I colored the cone with markers and cut it out.  Then I stamped the ice cream image onto designer paper and cut it out, popping it up over the cone.  Then I stamped the sentiment and added the rhinestones all in a row!  Oh and I added some stickles to enhance the ice cream!  EASY!

Here is the NCC stamp set including the link!

  •
  • To qualify to win, all you have to do is hop to each of the designers, leave a comment and return to the ODBD Blog to tell us you completed the hop, and let us know of any difficulties you had along the way.
Here is my first project:

I am in love with these sweet little praying children!  I used the Precious Girl set for my first card.  I also wanted to make my card a little vintage and a little shabby chic!  I use several coordinating sheets of Prima designer paper.  I did lots of sponging and distressing and embossing.  If you will notice, I inked and masked the For you from one of the sentiments and stamped it along the right edge of the card base.
I cut out two diecuts using the ODBD/Spellbinders Antique Labels and Border dies and the ODBD/Spellbinders Recipe Card and Tags dies.  I layered these down on the card base and tucked a little distressed and sponged doily behind the label.  The Bless the Child sentiment is popped up on the tag.  I added seam binding and a Prima flower and leaf to the tag.  After I added the lace, I stamped the little girl, colored her with copic markers and then cut her out.  She is popped up with foam tape as well.  Then I added the row of rhinestones to complete the card!

And here is my second card:

I kept the vintage/shabby look going for this card, which features the new Home of the Free set!  The background was created with the Old Flag Background. I sponged ink on the flag using masks for the stripes.  Then I embossed it with the SU! folder and distressed the edges.  Next, I lightly coated it with white acrylic paint.

I cut out the Spellbinders hearts, sponged them and added to the card base.  I colored the eagle with copics and cut him out.  Then I stamped the stars and cut them out.  The banner is from Memory Box.  I masked each letter from the AMERICA sentiment to create the banner.  I added lace and beautiful gingham ribbon I recently found at my local thrift store.  I made the bow with Becca's Peg Bow Maker.

After putting the card together, I added stickles to the eagle and glossy accents to each star!

Here are all of the ODBD supplies I used for these projects:
