My first card features the Snowman Family set!  So cute!  I love snowman images!  I colored the image with copic markers and then used Spellbinders A-2 dies to create a frame around it.  Then I added stickles for snow sparkle.  I stamped the sentiment and cut it out with a ODBD Recipe Card and Tags die and added a cute little bow to the tag and then a die cut bow from the ODBD Circle Ornament dies at the top.  Here is a look at the inside:

I made a pocket to hold a gift card!  I made the strip of white eyelet with the ODBD Beautiful Borders die and added another cute little bow like on the front.

Here is my next card:

Tommy Turkey is adorable!!!  I colored him with copics and cut him out.  I used a Spellbinders Square to create a frame with the ODBD Fence and ODBD Rustic Beauty Paper behind it.  I added Tommy, an ODBD Pennant and some little wooden leaves from my stash!

And here are the new NCC sets I used today:

Looking Back at the ODBD October Release!

 Good morning!
Thanks for joining us today as we take a look back at the October Releases from ODBD
I have two cards to share today!  The first one uses the Mother and Child Ornament.  This card is similar to THIS one I made before but this time I used the Paper Tole technique.  I love how it turned out!  I stamped the image several times and colored in key areas.  Then lots of fussy cutting and layering it up to create lots of dimension.  Here is another view:

And here is another:

I've tried this technique before but really didn't know what I was doing and it definitely didn't turn out the way it was supposed to!  This time I followed this video instruction HERE, but it didn't come together quite as easily as it did for this talented lady!  I am still pleased with the results though and will be doing this more in the future!

Here is my next card:

A little bit shabby, a little bit sparkly! This card features God's Timing and Christmas Pennant Swag along with Sparkling Snowflakes from a former release.  The background is from the 2013 Christmas Paper Collection.

Here are all the ODBD products I used to create both cards:

A Season

Hi everybody!   Here is a card I made with the new God's Timing set from ODBD!  I am entering it to the Word Art Wednesday Challenge this week.  Go check it out because Our Daily Bread designs is sponsoring the challenge this week!  That means prizes y'all!  hehe!

I stamped the image and the scripture and then cut them out using the Circle Ornament Dies and the Matting Circles Dies.  The paper is from the Rustic Beauty Paper Collection.  Lots of distressing with ink to get that rustic look!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful weekend!

Wisemen Ornament

Hi there!  Hope your week is going good!

I have been busy making cards and I have one to show you today!
It is for the Sketch Challenge on Splitcoast yesterday.  I am also linking it to the ODBDSLC215-Anything Goes with ODBD Stamps!!

I stamped the new ODBD Wisemen Ornament and cut it out with an ODBD Circle Ornament die and used an ODBD Matting Circles die to cut a mat for the ornament.  The designer paper is from last year's ODBD 2013 Christmas Paper Collection.  I sponged dark red ink on all the edges and then distressed the edges except for the ornament.  Then I used a white distress paint dauber in some areas and then poured fine glitter over that for a shimmery look!

Here are the new ODBD products used on this card:

Designers Blog Hop

Hi there!I am so excited to be included in the Designer Blog Hop!  Such an honor!
The person that nominated me was Robin Clendenning.

Many of you may know Robin as Stamperrobin on Splitcoaststampers.com.  She is an extremely talented card artist that I have long admired!  I absolutely love the way she uses bright beautiful colors as she is creating!  She is so very encouraging too.  We have been on the ODBD design team together for a while now so we have gotten to know each other that way and as Facebook friends! I hope one day to have the opportunity to meet her in person!  She lives in a small mountain town in central California, close to Yosemite National Park.  She and her husband love to hike, backpack, rock climb, snowboard and wakeboard. Thank you Robin for nominating me!

Here are just a couple of her beautiful cards:

See what I mean???  Gorgeous!

One of the responsibilities of being a part of this Designer Blog Hop is to answer a few questions.

1) What am I working on right now?

This blog post!  haha!  I have also been working on cards for Our Daily Bread Designs and for
the Dirty Dozen.  I stay very busy!  Here is a card I just blogged and added to several
     galleries this morning:

2) How does my work differ from others in my genre?

My artwork is a conglomeration of ideas and techniques I have learned along the way.  So
really I don't think my work stands out from others.  Many, many talented people have
influenced me over the years.   I love creating with lots of dies as in the sample above.
I love learning new techniques and I love coloring with my beloved copics!  I love
shabby chic cards with lots of layers and distressing and sponging.  But I am learning to
embrace the CAS look.  Or rather the CAL (clean and layered) look!  I also love Mixed
     Media.

3) Why do I create what I do?
I have always been crafty but never quite knew I had an 'artistic' side until I was introduced to
stamping and card making and yes, scrapbooking!  Card making especially is so therapeutic!  I
need to create cards as much as I need to breathe!  I can't explain it!

4) How does my creative process work?

It is different almost every time.  Sometimes I am inspired by the colors in a sheet of designer
paper, especially when the image I am using needs to be colored.  Sometimes I am inspired
by certain challenges that I participate in.  And sometimes, it just happens.  One thing I always do
when I create is get all my pieces together and prepared before actually gluing the pieces together.
Just a habit I formed when I first began this creative journey after spending too much time
trying to fix things that went wrong or throwing the whole thing in the trash.  I still have to do
that sometimes but not as much as in the beginning!

And now,
I have the honor and distinct pleasure of sharing a very special person as my nominee for the Designer Blog Hop!  She is not only a very talented card maker, but she is a treasured friend!  She loves the Lord and encourages me so much!  She is my ODBD sister, Lori Ulrich!!!

Lori has been my sister 'breadstick'  for quite some time now!  She and I have shared countless chats that have been a blessing to me!  Lori is a wife, stepmother, and daughter.  And she loves her St Bernards!!!  Hence the name of her blog:
Here are just two cards that Lori created where you can see how her faith shines through!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  Be sure and visit Lori's blog on the  20th to see her nominee for the Designers Blog Hop!  Have a wonderful week!!

A second release!  How fun is that?!!!

My card features the Christmas Pennant Swag that can be cut out with the Pennant Swag die.  I stamped the image and cut it out trimming the bows off.  Then I cut out a second swag in red to go behind the image.  I draped the swag over a beautiful Poinsettia spray made with the ODBD Peaceful Poinsettia dies, Fancy Foliage dies, Circle Ornament dies.  The background panel is cut out with the Vintage Flourish Pattern die.  I added clear rhinestones to the centers of the flowers to complete the card!
