Christmas Rose

Hi there!  I've got another couple of Christmas cards to share!  This one is for the color challenge today on SCS, Whispering Very Cherry Olives with a dessert of silver or pearls.  I used a beautiful stamp set called Christmas Rose from Our Daily Bread designs!  I colored with copic markers in shades near the colors of the challenge.  I used a Square Nestie to cut it out and framed it with some Spellbinders Marvelous Squares.  The tag is also Spellbinders.  I added pearls, stickles and a pretty seam binding bow made with Becca's Peg Bow Maker.

And another...

Again I used copics, Spellbinders Dies, pearls and another sweet little bow made with Becca's Peg Bow Maker

Thanks for stopping by!  See you again soon!!!

Which One?

My youngest little granddaughter is turning two in a couple of days!  She is so precious, as are all of my grand-babies!  Perfect in every way!  haha!  Grammie is not a bit biased or anything!  Anyway, I made these two cards and I can't decide which one to give her!

The pink card is made with a Tilda image that I won recently during the Dare to Get Dirty Challenges on SCS from Scor-Pal!  Such a fun image to color!  The little bubbles have glossy accents on them and I added little dots on her with a paint pen!

The red card has a Stampin'Bella image called Bye Bye Girl!  So adorable and looks like my little Kare-Bear(my granddaughter's nickname)!  This one is also fun to color!  I added liquid applique to the shoulder straps of her little back pack and little white dots on the lady bug!

So what do you think?

Won't you please join me in praying for the people that are in the path of Hurricane Sandy?

James 1:17

Hi there!  Hope you all are having a good week!  I have another Christmas card to share today!
I am playing in four different challenges:

CCC12-SCS Christmas Card Challenge

I used the following Our Daily Bread designs sets:

I embossed the Spellbinders Marvelous Square and used sticky notes to mask off the embossing before stamping the hymn with Memento Gray ink.  Then I added the border at the bottom along with the lace border.  I stamped the image and cut it out with the Spellbinders 2011 Heirloom Ornament die.  I cut the top off and added a Marvelous Square Corner as my ornament hanger.  Then I made a bow with Becca's Peg Bow Maker and attached it.  I added a pearl to the bow and sprayed the card with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist.

Thanks for stopping by!  Enjoy this beautiful day!

Hope for Karen

I have a friend who has just recently been diagnosed with Mantle Cell Lymphoma.  After doing a little research I found out the support color for this type of cancer is lime green.  I found a cute little Lime Green Cancer Awareness bracelet through an Etsy shop called Ssaaty's Heart (she has great cancer awareness jewelry and great customer service!)!  When I got the bracelet, I made this card to match and sent my little gift to her.  She loved it!  Karen has a great attitude and she is a strong Christian so her faith is getting her through this uncertain time.  She has a battle ahead of her but she is ready for the fight!!!
Please keep Karen in your prayers, will you?

Here is the card recipe:

With Love at Christmas

Can you believe October is winding down already?  Seriously, where has this year gone?  I started my Christmas shopping today!  Yay!  I've been playing with Liquid Applique again!  I love this stuff, if you haven't already realized that!  I still have no idea why I never tried this before this month!

For this card, I focused on using just red and white for my card.  There are touches of light green peeking through the 'snow' though.  I   used copics to color in the image.  Then I added the Liquid applique and then some Stickles.  Last but not least, I added some clear rhinestones!  A little bit of lace completes the card.

And here is another snowy Christmas Tree Card!

I sponged several colors of blue using a torn piece of paper as a mask to create a snowy hillside.  I stamped the tree in Memento Gray and colored in the ribbon garland with a copic marker.  I did the Liquid Applique again along with some pretty Martha Stewart white glitter.  And then I added tons of pearls in three different sizes!  The little wooden star button is sponged in blue with a tiny bow on it.  The scene is framed with a Spellbinders Eyelet Square and popped up on the card base.

Both cards feature the O Christmas Tree set from Our Daily Bread designs!

These two cards are for the Christmas Card Challenge at Splitcoast!
Thank so much for stopping by today!  I enjoy your visits and comments!

More Trees Please!

Hi there!  Hope your week is going great so far!  I have another couple of cards to share today!
I am loving the new Christmas sets from ODBD this month!

For this card I stamped the O Christmas Tree Carol onto a Spellbinders Scalloped Label One and popped it up over the base card which is embossed with the Spellbinders Marvelous Squares.  I cut the center out of the label with the Spellbinders Oval.  I had already stamped the tree, colored it with copics and added the liquid applique for snow.  I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to place the sentiment, added a few clear rhinestones and used a copic marker to do the edging on the oval.

Here is my second card:

The background on this card has a layer that is embossed with a cuttlebug folder.  I colored the tree with copics and cut it out with a Spellbinders Labels 25.  The label is popped up over ribbon and a Spellbinders Lace Die cut.  I cut out the sentiment with the SU! tiny tag punch and glued it under the pretty double bow I made with Becca's Peg Bow Maker!

I am entering these for the challenge at Stampin' Sisters in Christ this week to use a tree image or die cut.  These will also be part of my commitment for the Christmas card challenge at Splitcoast.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

The Cross

Hello again!  I made this card for the Splitcoast Free For All challenge today to use the negative piece of a die cut.  I used the Spellbinders Crosses 2.  I can't decide what sentiment to use but if I do it will probably go on the inside.  I don't want to take away from the power of the cross.

Goodnight all!!!  See you again soon!

Peace

Good morning!  I have a couple of quick cards to share today!
Our Daily Bread designs has two new sets featuring Christmas trees and
I have been having tons of fun with them!
The card above is a clean and simple card using the negative oval cut out as a frame for the tree.  I colored the tree with copics and added some stickles for a little bit of sparkle.  Then I added the Spellbinders banner to complete the card!  This is for the Free For All challenge on Splitcoast today.

This card is also clean and simple with a country flair.  The tree is colored with copics and again I added some stickles.  I cut out the image with the ODBD Spellbinders Custom Elegant Oval die and spnged the edges.  The designer paper is embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.  I threaded ribbon through the vintage lace and glued to the card .  Then I glued down the tiny bow made with Becca's Peg Bow Maker along with the tiny tag punched with an SU! punch.  This card is for the Word Art Wednesday Challenge this week!

Both cards are also for the Christmas Card Challenge 2012!
Thanks so much for stopping by on this Friday morning!  Enjoy your weekend!

Granny Smith Apple Wreath

Hi there!  Hope you are having a good week!
Same old, same old around here!  LOL!!!
I thank the Lord though for same old, same old, ya know?  How about you?

I have fallen in love with this Apple Wreath set from Our Daily Bread designs!  It is just so FALL!!!

I colored the wreath with copics and cut it out.  I also stamped and colored two more apples and cut them out.  I used a stylus on the underside of the wreath and apples to give the cut out a little bit of texture.  I decided to 'hang' the wreath from the Spellbinders ODBD Custom Window Die cut using a pretty seam binding bow I made with Becca's Peg Bow Maker.  I attached the window to a layer that is embossed with the Spellbinders Marvelous Squares.

I added the other two apples and covered all the apples with Glossy Accents.

And that is it!  So glad you could visit today!  Happy Fall Y'all!

Kelley, I am so blessed by you!
You are treasured friend and I hope your birthday is the most wonderful birthday ever!

To make this card I used the following:

I know it says Fish Embossing Plate but it really is the Vintage Plate.  This will be corrected in the catalog soon!  I also used Prima Meadowlark designer paper, a Spellbinders Circle, and Spellbinders Scalloped Labels One.  There are two strips of beautiful lace as well as Zva pearls.  I added a pretty button from my stash on top of the bow and glued another pearl to the top!  Lots of sponging with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink and a little bit of Dazzling Diamond Glimmer Mist finishes the card!

Now I will send you on your way to the amazing Sabrina!!!

We thank you so much for joining us in wishing our Kelley a wonderful birthday!!!
Enjoy the hop and see you again soon!
