Birthday Boy

 Hello again!
I have another card to share that I made for my hubby!
He is celebrating a birthday today!

I followed the Free for All challenge on SCS today to incorporate a frame and yesterday's Ways to Use It challenge to use decorative borders.  I used a few discarded pieces and scraps from my scrap pile to create this card!  I finished the card with a little button.  The Happy Birthday die is from North Coast Creations and the other dies and the designer paper

Here are the supplies I used today:

Enjoy your Cupcake!

Hello again!
Not really sure why this card looks bent in two places at the top but it doesn't in real life!
Must be shadows?  Weird!

This is for the CAS challenge this week-Sweet Treats.  The ODBD image is called Cupcake Plate and is on sale now!  The sentiment is from a retired set called Admit One.  I colored the image with copics and cut it out to pop up over the layer that is embossed with and ODBD Oval and ODBD Double Stitched Rectangle.  I cute the sentiment with an ODBD Mini Tags die.  I added stickles and a tiny bow to complete the card!

Thanks for stopping by again!  Have a wonderful day!

Shabby Birthday Wishes

Hello!  Hope you are having a great week!

I made this card for the Sketch Challenge today at Splitcoast!  I used the new ODBD Wishing Well set.  I colored the image with copics and cut it out with a Circle Die.  It is layered with a Double Stitched Circle and the largest Doily die. The background papers are from the Shabby Rose Paper Collection.  I added a Beautiful Border and cut out the whole panel with the largest die in the Flourished Star Pattern dies set.  I also cut out a Tres Papillon Butterfly from the Shabby Rose paper.  The sentiment is cut with a Pennant die and I added pearls and a seam binding bow to complete the card!

Happiest!

Well, this was fun!
The Splitcoast TLC challenge this morning was to use something other than a stamp to stamp!
So I used a piece of something, I can't remember what it is called, but here is a picture of it:

I used to make cross bookmarks with this stuff.  It comes in larger sheets and this is cut down to about 2x3 and taped to the block with double stick tape.  And that's what I stamped my background with!  Then I used a toothbrush to get the extra spatter.  I also used the little ink pad to go around the edges of one of the layers.  I cut out the ODBD Wishing Die and inked it up to match.  The sentiment is from ODBD Wishing Words set.  I also used an ODBD Double Stitched Circle Die to emboss around the sentiment.  I added some bling to complete the card!

Your Special Day

Hello!
Here is a card that can be used for several special occasions.  Birthdays, Anniversaries, Weddings, etc.

I used gorgeous papers from paperandmore.com

I used a stamp set from North Coast Creations called Floral Sentiments 6.  I colored the image with copic markers and cut the image and the mat out with Spellbinders A-2 dies.  The vellum layer is embossed with a die from the ODBD Flourished Star Pattern set.  It is hard to see in the photo but the pink layer under the vellum is embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.  This paper takes embossing so beautifully!  I added a pretty seam binding bow to complete the card.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Have a wonderful day!

Rock On!

Good morning!
I finally had time to play in the Sketch Challenge at Splitcoast yesterday!  Woohoo!

I am really loving this new Rock Star set from ODBD!  So fun to to create those dreaded masculine cards!  LOL!!!  And I did the watercolor wash technique which is a rarity for me.  It was fun!  I used distress ink pads rubbed onto wax paper.   I spritzed water into the ink, swirled it around with a brush and then set the watercolor paper (which had also been spritzed with water) into the ink several time.  After letting the blue ink dry I did it again with red, but not as much.  I also used a brush to kind of get a little more red trailing from the guitar.  The ODBD Patriotic designer paper panels are lightly coated with gesso.  Except for the Pennant die cut, I left it as is.  I stamped the image again and cut out just the guitar.  I colored it with matching copics and popped it up over the original image.  I tucked a little bit of a Beautiful Border die cut and then all the Sparkling Stars to complete the card.  Here is another look:

A Shabby Happy Birthday

Hi there!  I have shabby card to share today!  The new ODBD Ornate Borders and Flowers set with the Custom Ornate Borders and Flowers dies are so fun to play with!  The birthday sentiment is from the Ornate Sentiments set.  Several pieces of this card were 'rejects' from precious card attempts!  Yes I save way more stuff than I should but I just know I may use that one little piece one day!

Here are the ODBD projects I used:

Happy Birthday Kelley!

Good morning!  So excited to have you with us today!

We are celebrating the birthday of our very own Kelley!  She is truly a wonderful person and I am so honored to have had the privilege of being on her team these last few years!

Here is a photo taken at the Heirloom Rubber Stamp Show in February of this year here in Georgia!

Left to Right: Julie Warner, Sherry Kushibab, Me, and Kelley Holland

Now back to my card:

Kelley loves pink and purple and dragonflies!  The purple background has an overlay of the ODBD Custom Quatrefoil Pattern Die.  Then I colored the images with copics and cut them out.  The images are from Faithful Friend and Don't Worry.  The dragonfly image has stickles on it and is attached to the flower and swirl from the ODBD Custom Fancy Foliage Die.  The scripture is cut out with ODBD Custom Elegant Oval and is layered over the ODBD Antique Labels and Borders Die!  I made the pretty bow with Becca's Peg Bow Maker and attached a pink brad I found in my forgotten stash of goodies!

Here are the ODBD supplies I used:

Here are links to all the designers that are sharing their cards today:

Happy Birthday Kelley!!!
