I don't know about y'all but I am seeing lots of beautiful white pumpkins being used in Fall decorations!  That is what inspired me in my coloring of this wonderful Fall Flower Pumpkin stamp, new from ODBD.  And cutting out the image was a breeze with the coordinating ODBD Custom Pumpkin with Flowers Die!  It is framed inside a Spellbinders Marvelous Square frame that I had cut weeks ago but didn't use.  I added a pretty lace bow I made with Becca's Peg Bow Maker and then a tag with a sentiment from the new Autumn Blessings set!

A Look Back at the NCC September Releases!

Today we are looking back at the September releases from North Coast Creations!

My card features the Old Fashioned Santa set!  I colored him with copics and cut him out.  I added him to a Spellbinders frame over some festive green polka dot paper.  I also painted him with a little stickles for sparkle!  The sentiment tag is ODBD Custom Recipe Card and Tags dies and the foliage is ODBD Custom Fancy Foliage dies.

EDITED TO ADD:

I am updating to address the two questions regarding the frame on this card.  I used a Spellbinders Matting Basics die to embossed the edge of the base card.  And then I used two smaller Matting Basics dies to cut the frame.  I have both Spellbinders A-2 Matting Basics A and B so not really sure which I used here.  I hope that helps.  Thanks for your comments!  You are so sweet!  I am sorry I left out this info!

October New Releases from ODBD!

Good morning!  Can you believe it's October already?!!!  Yikes!

We are so excited you are joining us as we share our projects using the new releases from
Our Daily Bread designs!
Once again, our very own Kelley will be choosing
one random winner from one of the designers blog comments to receive
a $50 Gift Certificate to the ODBD Store  to be used towards the purchase of stamps!
Wow!!!!  $50!!!

You have until October 2, 2013 at 9:00pm EST to leave your comments on the designers blogs.
The winner will be posted on the ODBD Blog on October 3rd,
so be sure to check back there to see if you have won!

My first project was so much fun!  I wanted to try for a vintage look.  I stamped the image from the Candy Cane set with brown ink on Kraft card stock.  I colored with copics and then painted the white stripes with bleach which gave the candy cane a really cool look!  ETA: I know I typed up another important part to the making of this card but it's not here!  After using the bleach, I painted the candy cane with stickles and then painted over that with glossy accents to get that vintage look!  The Candy Cane poem is cut out with ODBD Custom Elegant Ovals die.  I added a little button on the candy cane to complete the card!

Here is a closer look:

And here is my second card:

A little more of a CAS card but with several layers.  This time I used the Jesus is the Reason set.  I colored the image with copics and added glossy accents and then stickles on the leaves and berries.  The top panel is cut with Spellbinders Labels 26 and layered over Spellbinders Eyelet Square.  I threaded red ribbon through the holes and finished the card!

SCS Fan Club Christmas Card Challenge!

I was so excited when Stacy asked me to create a sample for the SCS Fan Club Christmas Card Challenge for October!  If you aren't a Fan Club member yet, what are you waiting for?  The yearly cost for membership is about the same as most crafting magazines but the inspiration to be found at SCS is limitless! This Christmas card challenge is one of the great perks for being a member so I can't give away the details of the challenge!  Anyway, that's just my little SCS plug for the day!  :)

Here is a link to the Fan Club info if you are interested!

My card features Santa's Sleigh from North Coast Creations.  In keeping with this month's theme, I colored with copics adding a few stickles here and there for sparkle.  My 'trees' and the greenery are part of the ODBD Custom Fancy Foliage Dies. This is all layered over a pretty designer paper background.  I finished the card with a pretty seam binding bow made with Becca's Peg Bow Maker!

The Apple of God's Eye!

 Hi everyone!
Autumn is finally in the air and we have been enjoying
lovely cool temps here in my neck of the woods!
Love it!

Here is a card I made for several challenges:

WT446-Squares-(I'm counting the little squares in the gingham)

This new ODBD Apples image is colored with copics and I added glossy accents to the apples to give them that apple shine!  I cut it out with the ODBD Custom Elegant Oval die and placed it over two of the new ODBD Custom Decorative Corners.  The background is ODBD Gingham Background and is framed with Spellbinders Matting Basics.  The little vine is from ODBD Custom Fancy Foliage dies and the tag is ODBD Custom Recipe Card and Tag dies.  The little bow was made with Becca's Peg Bow Maker!

A Look Back at the ODBD September Release

Good morning ODBD friends!  Today the bread sticks are taking a look back at the September new releases!  My card features the Jingle Bells set!  I was in the mood to create an elegant Christmas card!  I colored the image with copic markers and cut it out with a Spellbinders long oval.  I added white flower soft for the snow areas.  I created the shaped base card with Spellbinders Labels 29 and the added a layer of a diecut from Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles.  I made the banner using one of the dies in Spellbinders A-2 Matting Basics A.  The seam binding bow was made with Becca's Peg Bow Maker.  I also 'painted' the image with stickles for an icy look!

Here are a couple of more photos:

Rum Pum Pum Pum and a Beautiful Bookmark Made Just For Me!

Hello there!  Hope everyone has had a good week so far!  I have a couple of projects to share this evening.  One made by me and one made by my oldest granddaughter!

First, here is another Christmas card for my stash!  Woohoo!
I used the new Little Drummer Boy set from Our Daily Bread designs.

He is so cute and so fun to color!  I colored him with copic markers and cut him out with a Spellbinders Oval.  I layered the oval over the ODBD Custom Quatrefoil Pattern Die which is framed with Spellbinders A-2 Matting Basics.  The sentiment was masked from the little music stamp!  I made the bow with Becca's Peg Bow Maker and attached it to complete the card!

And here is the second project I want to share tonight!

Last night I kept my three granddaughters for a few hours.  My oldest grand, Eileen, had found a tutorial on how to make corner bookmarks and had already made one for herself.  It looked like a monster and I wish I had taken a photo of that too!  Oh well!  But while my granddaughters were here, Eileen, made this one for me!  Isn't it so pretty!  Pink and lace and a pretty flower!  Can't get much better than that!  Sorry the photo is a little blurry.  I took it with my iphone.  And I should have taken a pic of the back too but unfortunately I did not!  We used the cute little Stamped by Mini-Chickadee and then she signed her work!

She is a crafty little lady at 11 years old!  She crochets too!!!  So proud of her and all my grands!!! They are all such a blessing from God!

Well, thanks for stopping by to see my latest card
and for letting me show off one of my grands for a little bit!
Have a wonderful Thursday!
