Thanksgiving Broach

Good morning!!!
If you haven't checked out the new and improved Passionately Artistic site,
(formerly the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog) yet, you are missing some great projects!

We are encouraging you to show us your artwork, including
cards, scrapbook pages, home decor, sewing, and so on!
We have had some wonderful artwork linked to the site in the last couple of weeks!
There are some amazing artists out there!!!

Today, the team is focusing on Thanksgiving projects with embossing powder.  I made this broach to wear on Thanksgiving!  I used some real wood paper gifted to me by McMahon Five designs! Thank you Sue!  I cut two Spellbinders leaves and a Spellbinders tag from the wood paper.  I also cut the same shapes from a piece of Chocolate Chip card stock for the back of each wood piece, just for added strength.  I sprayed each piece lightly with Peach Delight and Brick Glimmer Mists.  Then I sponged the edges with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink.  Next, I masked and stamped the word Blessings from a stamp in the Happy Birthday set by Our Daily Bread designs in Stazon Black ink.
I inked up each piece with Versamark ink and then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.  I did each piece one at a time, with three layers of versamark and embossing powder.  I punched a hole in the Blessings tag and then laced the gold cord through and around, adding the button and then tied everything into place.  The beads were the last embellishment to be added.  I glued a pin to the back to complete the broach!

Hope you like my project today!  Have a wonderful week and thanks for stopping by!
My Siggy
