For Your Friendship

Hello there!!!  This is a little sneak peek of a new ODBD set coming out in a couple of days!  I stamped the sentiment onto the top layer of a 3-D Papier Tole Die Cuts set called Victorian Roses.  This Papier Tole set makes life easy!  The little butterflies came with it!  Just added two types of lace, pretty pink ribbon, a Bow Easy Bow, Cheery Lynn Designs Flourish cut into four separate pieces, a button and some pearls.  I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to get the placement of the sentiment straight.  Love that tool!

I am entering this to the following challenges:

Just a Little Something

Hi there!  I made this for color challenge today on SCS.  It's my last week as guest designer and I really enjoyed my time with the CC girls!  The colors this week are:

Lucky Limeade
River Rock
Garden Green

and the dessert option is to make a St Patrick's Day card.

Well, I do not have Lucky Limeade, not sure if this is River Rock or Sahara Sand! LOL! So I concentrated on using copic markers that I thought were the closest to those colors! And I have no St Patrick's Day stamps either but this ODBD image is pretty close! It is clover! hehehe! The image and sentiment are both from the set called Simple Things. I cut the image out with the coordinating custom clover die which makes life so much easier!  I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to get the sentiment straight.

I am also sharing my February Christmas cards for the SCS Christmas Card Challenge!

This cute little image and sentiment are from Impression Obsession.  I colored them with copics, added some stickles and white Flower Soft.  Quick and easy!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  See you again soon!

Lace and Fineness

Hi there!  This card is for two challenges this week!

CT0212 on SCS
and

Both challenges are all about using flowers on your projects.
I like flowers, how about you?

I cut a piece of Prima Romantique paper down to the size that I usually make, 4 3/4 x 4 3/4, and then rounded the corners.  I created my base card with white card stock and rounded those corners too.  {One thing I do when making a card is kind of put the card together before I actually glue anything!} I stamped the pretty ODBD Flower Frames 2 in the center of the square with Bordering blue ink.  Then I used the ODBD/Spellbinders Custom Die Elegant Oval to just emboss in the center of the frame.  Next, I used post it notes to mask all the way around the oval so that just the inner part showed.  I used the music stamp, It Is Well With My Soul, stamping it onto the oval.  Once I removed the post its, I sponged Bordering Blue ink around the edges of the paper and on the embossed area too.  I don't know if you know this or not, but I love lace!  I can't throw it away, no matter how small!  So I had several scraps of lace lying on my desk.  I smeared Beacon 3-in-1 glue in the bottom corners and up the sides and sort of smooshed and layered the lace pieces and then trimmed off any that went over the edges!  How fun!  Then I cut a border with the ODBD Crocheted Border Die from one of the trimmed off pieces and placed it on the card.  I had actually colored this pretty ODBD Tulip a couple of days ago and didn't use it but the colors were not exactly right.  I went over it with different shades of copics until I got some that did the trick!  So the tulip got tucked into place, adding the extra pieces with foam tape for dimension.  Then I added the organdy ribbon and Bow Easy bow and the little pearls to complete the card!!!  I forgot to mention that after the lace was glued down, I sponged some more Bordering Blue ink on the lace.  So that's it!  What do you think?

Basic Gray, Pretty in Pink and Pink Pirouette

Hi everyone!

Today's color challenge on SCS is so pretty!

Basic Gray
Pretty in Pink
and
Pink Pirouette

or the closest match to those colors that you have on hand.
The dessert option is buttons!

I used Pink Pirouette for my base card and layers along with the gray.  I used white for my neutral.  The stamp is from Our Daily Bread designs and is one of my favorites.  It's called Save Time and is part of the Blessings Collection.  I used Basic Gray ink and cut it out and layered with Spellbinders Ovals.  I also used ODBD/Spellbinders custom die called Elegant Ovals.  I added lace and Pretty in Pink ribbon and a pretty bow made with my Bow Easy tool.  The butterfly is from Cheery Lynn Designs.  I topped it with a pretty white button.  I also sprayed the whole card with Marshmallow Glimmer Mist which gives it such a pretty sheen!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  See you again soon!

It Is Well

Happy Wednesday!

The Passionately Artistic Team invites you to share your latest artwork with us!
Just head over to the Passionately Artistic Blog and link it today!

I have a card to share using this new ODBD stamp of a beautiful old hymn, It Is Well With My Soul.  One of my favorites!  I really did lots of distressing here.  First there is a layer of designer paper that is sponged and torn.  Then I stamped the hymn and sponged it, and sprayed it with Glimmer Mists and tore it and ripped it and adhered it over the designer paper.

Then I added the muslin trim and old lace using Beacon 3-in-1 glue.  The canvas resist bird cage is also sprayed with several shades of Glimmer Mists and attached with the glue.  Then I added the seam binding and the button and lace at the top.  I stamped the top part of the hymn again and cut out just the title for my little banner across the music.

Thank you so much for visiting!  See you again soon!!!

The Voice of the Sea

Hi there!
It's my second week as the guest designer for the SCS Color Challenges!  WooHoo!

This week's colors are:

Night of Navy
Bashful Blue
Crumb Cake

What a fun technique!  I smeared Night of Navy and Bashful Blue ink pads on an acrylic block and sprayed it with water.  I set the card stock in the ink/water mix and then dried the paper with my heat tool. I layered this piece onto a Kraft card stock base.  Next I added the muslin trim.  The quote is from the new ODBD set called The Sea.  I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to get the placement on there correctly.  Then I added the ribbon and Bow Easy bow!  The last thing I added was a nice shimmery sheen using Marshmallow Glimmer Mist!

Thank you so much for stopping by!  Hope you have a wonderful Tuesday!

Burlap Love

Hi there!  Hope you have had a blessed weekend!
It's been really cold here in my neck of the woods!  Brrr!!!

I have a quick Valentine to share with you!  Our Daily Bread designs stamps are so versatile!  I used a sentiment from one of the newest sets called The Mighty Sea.  I masked off all but the single word 'love' for my little tag!  How fun! I cut a piece of burlap into a heart shape and then used paint to make it pink!  I pulled a couple of threads out just for a little interest.  I attached it to some Kraft paper that has an embossed border done with a StampinUp! folder.  The button is made of wood and I threaded hemp twine to make the bow!  CAS!!!

The Shining the Light challenge at ODBD this week is to use the letters in the word HEART
to create a card.  So here is the run down:

H-Hemp Twine
E-Embossing
A-Acrylic Paint
 R-Rough Burlap
(This might be stretching a bit!  LOL)
T-Tag

The CAS challenge on SCS is hearts too!

Thank you for stopping by!  Enjoy your week and we will see you again soon!

Given to Thee

So many beautiful photos!  I chose this photo for my inspiration.
And this is also for the Word Art Wednesday Challenge this week

This beautiful scene is one of the new stamp sets from Our Daily Bread designs this month.  It is called The Mighty Sea and has this ocean scene and several sentiments and scriptures.  The scene is colored with  copics, masked and sponged, had an ink pad dragged over it and then stickled on top of that!  I added hemp thread and the pretty shell charm and that is it!

Thanks so much for visiting and hope you have a wonderful evening!

SCS Color Challenge Guest Designer

I am so excited! Betty asked me to be a guest DT for the color challenges on Splitcoast, this month! WooHoo!! Thanks for having me and I will try to do my very best!

The colors this week are Soft Suede, Poppy Parade and Daffodil Delight or the closest match to those colors as you have in your stash. I had the Soft Suede but had to sub the other colors and I really don't know the names of the colors I used. All I know is they are SU! I moved within the last few months and my paper organization now leaves a lot to be desired. LOL!

So with that said, I used a beautiful scripture from ODBD Scripture Collection 6Word Art Wednesday's Challenge this week is to use this scripture in your project.  I am also using some new Cheery Lynn goodies!  The tiny flowers are done with a Cuttlebug die. While I was adding the pearls, it dawned on me that I was supposed to use brads or eyelets! Oops! Well, I wasn't gonna take the card apart at that point, so I used my whatchamacallit, (shank remover?) to cut the tails off of some rhinestone brads and glued them down on the butterflies with Beacon glue. So technically I used brads, just not in the way they are supposed to be used!

Thank you for taking a look at my card!
And thanks Betty and all the CC gang for having me this month!

I have been so inspired by so many of the beautiful banners out there!  On SCS, on Pinterest, everywhere!  I decided to jump in and try one for myself!  I cut out three triangles from burlap.  I didn't measure, just sort of winged it.  I also cut out three triangles from card stock, again no measuring.  I glued each burlap piece down to the card stock using Mod Podge.  Once that dried, (it didn't take very long) I painted each piece with white acrylic paint.  While those pieces were drying, I stamped the new It Is Well With My Soul stamp onto some card stock pieces and tore them out, distressed them and sponged on them.  Then I stamped the light house from the Light of the World set.  For some reason it seemed important to use this set.  It was the very first stamp set that Our Daily Bread designs released, and it just felt right.  I colored the image lightly with copics and then lightly painted over the whole thing with the white paint again.  I glued these to the banner pieces with Beacon 3-in-1 glue.  Then I attached the lace, seam binding, and buttons.  I used hemp to attach the banners to for displaying.

I seem to be doing this a lot lately but I have another project to share!
I will make it quick so you won't get 'blogged' down!  LOL!!  Thank you for staying...

I used both of the other new sets for this card, The Mighty Sea and The Sea.  The image was stamped onto chipboard with Stazon ink.  Then I used Tim Holtz alcohol inks to sponge all around until I got the look I was going for.  Kind of a coppery sheen.  Then I just stamped the sentiment at the bottom to finish the card!

Now from here please make your way over to Connie's fabulous blog!
Her talent just blows me away so I am sure you will be inspired!

Thank you so much for hopping with us today!  We enjoy your visits so much!!!

Are You Passionately Artistic?

Hi everyone!!!
Did you know that there is a linking party every Wednesday on the Passionately Artistic Blog?  Well, there is!  Just take a look and feel free to link your latest project for a little more exposure!  I made this card for the blog to inspire you to make your Valentine a card.  Valentine's Day will be here before you know it!  I wish you could see the sheen on the blue card stock pieces!  I 'painted' them with Marshmallow Glimmer Mist instead of spraying them.  The Spellbinders lacy square layer is also lightly stamped with the It Is Well With My Soul stamp from Our Daily Bread designs that is being released today!  You won't want to miss our Release Day Blog Hop that begins this morning at 8!
See you there and thanks for dropping by!
