Now onto my card:
I used the fabulous
Cathedral Window-Marble for the front of my card. I colored the glass with copics and then clear embossed the entire window. I used the
ODBD/Spellbinders Cathedral Window and Border die to cut the window out. The background was made with the Vintage Border Embossing plate that is now retired. Notice the hardware along the side of the window...
So when you open the window, you see out onto the ocean scene! This is
The Waves on the Sea set! I stamped the scripture on the inside of the window. I trimmed a piece of card stock to the size of the window to secure all the front window pieces. I made a little hinge and used
Scor-Tape to adhere it. In fact I used lots of
Scor-Tape on this card to be sure the window would stay in place! The ocean scene is embossed in black and sponged, using a circle for a mask to create the moon.
After putting everything together, I thought to myself that the front of the card was a little plain and didn't highlight the beautiful cathedral window. So I added the
Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish and a few flowers and pearls. Once I had that all glued down good, I realized...there probably aren't too many cathedrals with vines and flowers growing up the walls on the inside of the building!!!
Oh well, it is what it is!!!
Here are all the ODBD supplies I used:
Your next stop is to the blog of the amazing
