Looking Back at the ODBD May Release!

 Good morning!  

So happy you are with us today as we take a look back at the May releases!  

We hope you love them as much as we do!

 

My card features the new Glory set!  I colored the beautiful Morning Glories with copics and then proceeded to fussy cut them!  That took a while!  LOL!  But I really wanted to drape them over the  Quatrefoil Pattern die so I persevered!  I stamped the scripture onto the new Vintage Labels die and added a pretty bow!

My first card features the Happy Camper set!  So fun!!!  I colored the images with copics to match the ODBD Rustic Beauty Paper collection.  I fussy cut each piece and created my scene.   The scalloped border is one of the Beautiful Border dies from ODBD.  This next photo shows the soft lavenders of the camper.

And here is my second card:

I love this new Ballet set!  So very pretty and girly!  Again, I colored the image with copics and fussy cut.  I made a frame with the ODBD Vintage Labels dies.  The paper is from the ODBD Heart and Soul Collection and the border is from the ODBD Beautiful Border dies.  I used tulle to make a sort of tutu bow!

Morning Glories and Butterflies

Hi there!  Hope you are having a good week!  

Here is a card I made with the new Glory set from ODBD.  I am submitting this for the CAS challenge this week to choose three colors from a palette offered.  I chose the two greens and the dark pink.  And of course I tried to keep it clean and simple for the CAS challenge.  I colored the image with copics.  I used my SAMJ to place the sentiment.  And then I added a few butterflies and rhinestones.   That's it!

Angel Wings

 Happy Friday!!!

I have another mixed media card to share today!  This one is for the Mix-Ability Challenge on Splitcoast to make a mixed media card and include something that flies.  The new Angel Wings dies from ODBD are so beautiful!  And fun to play with!  I stamped the It Is Well With My Soul Hymn for my background.  Then I used white and a cream distress paint.  Over that I used white crackle paint.  Once that dried, I sponged a little bit of antique linen ink.  The wings have stickles on them and I added a pretty button, bow and pearl.  The words are from two different stamps in the new Carried to Heaven set.

Here is my first card:

 I love how the new Angel Wings die coordinates so beautifully with our other dies!  I cut the angel wings and three different crosses from the Ornamental Crosses die set to create this focal point.  I embossed a frame with a Spellbinders die.  I used my stamp positioner to help stamp the sentiment form the new Carried to Heaven set.  Here is another view:

Here is my second card for today:

This time I decided to get a little messy with a mixed media card!  The background is part of cardboard packaging which has paint, gesso, Glimmer Mist, and Mod Podge!  The Beautiful Border, Ornate Heart, and the sentiment from Glory are glued down with the Mod Podge.  I cut the angel wings form the same cardboard packaging and painted them before gluing them down to the heart.  I added a gorgeous embellishment and traced the wings with stickles.   Here are two more views:
