Pretty Poinsettia Ornament

Hello there!  I made this card for the CAS challenge this week to use a touch of pink!  The image is a new one from Our Daily Bread Designs called Poinsettia Ornament.  I colored it with copics and then cut it out with a new Matting Circles die.  I hung it with an ornament hanger from single 'tree limb' cut with a die from the Fancy Foliage dies.  I also cut the hanger thing attached to the ornament with ODBD Circle Ornament die.  I also added a touch of sparkle with Stickles.  I am also entering this to the ODBDSLC challenge this week.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful day!

Have a Beautiful Birthday Dear Kelley!!!

Thank you for joining us today!

We are celebrating the birthday of our very own Kelley!
Her birthday is actually tomorrow but we are hoping to surprise her by celebrating a day early!

I know that Kelley is a huge fan of dragonflies so I chose to use the Dragonfly Mini in combination with the Chalkboard Paper Collection.  I colored the dragonflies with copics and cut each one out.  The sentiment is from All Occasion Sentiments and the label is from Antique Label Designs.  I cut this out with the Antique Labels and Border dies.  Under that is the Vintage Flourish Pattern die cut.  I layered everything together and then placed the three dragonflies.  I used my nail to kind of curl their bodies and wings up a little bit.  Then I added stickles so they would sparkle against the background!

A Look Back at the NCC September Release

 Good morning!

We are happy you have joined us as we take a look back at the NCC September release!

I have a card to share that I made with Sweet Christmas Wishes!  This is truly a fun set!  One of our family traditions at Christmas is for the kids (and 'big' kids too) to build gingerbread houses!   I stamped the gingerbread house twice.   I colored one of the images completely and then cut out pieces from the second stamped image (candy canes, door, roof, lollipops and peppermints)  and colored.  Before placing the second pieces, I masked off the house to add the trees from the Happy Camper set.  Then I placed those second pieces over the first colored image with foam tape.  The candy canes were added with glue just at the bottoms and they are attached to show both candy canes underneath.  What the photo does not show is that I painted lots of key areas (roof shingles, gumdrops, candy canes, lollipops,  peppermints and wreath) with Diamond Glaze and Stickles.  I added falling snow with Stickles too.  Christmas will be here before we know it!

Here is the new set I used today:

Welcome to the October ODBD Release!

 Good morning!
We thank you so much for joining us today!  Today is release day at ODBD!
And wow, you will not be disappointed!
Before we get started, let me take care of the 'business'!

Three winners will be randomly chosen from the comments left on the designers blogs to receive a $15 Gift Certificate to the ODBD Store, to be used toward the purchase of ODBD Stamps found in the "stamps column" of the website.  You have until October 2, 2014 at 9:00 p.m. EDT to leave your comments here on our Blog or the Participating Designers Blogs for a chance to win!  The Winners will be posted on the ODBD Blog on October 3rd, so be sure to check back there to see if you won!

My first card features the fabulous Autumn Tree set!  I stamped the tree image and colored with copics.  I used the Pointillism technique on parts of the image.  I stamped the xoxoxo from Ornate Border Sentiments inside the heart!  I stamped the sentiment and cut it out with an Antique Labels and Border and added it to a mat cut with a die from the Vintage Flourish Pattern die set.  I also embossed a Spellbinders square die to make a frame.

Here is my second card featuring the Mother and Child Ornament stamp:

This is such a beautifully drawn image of our Lord and Savior with Mary!  I decided to keep this one simple so the focus is on them.  I colored the image with copics and cut it out with a circle from Circle Ornament Dies and then a larger circle is the mat cut from the new Matting Circles set!  The circles are layered over the largest Doily die.  A spellbinders die is embossed for the frame.  I added some stickles on His halo and a little on the bodice of Mary's dress.  A pretty bow completes the card!

Hello, my friend!

Hello!  Hope your weekend was wonderful!
Mine was good!  The weather is awesome!  I am so glad that Fall is here!!!

I made a card this afternoon.  For no reason!  LOL!!!  I love the new dress form stamps from ODBD!  This one, called Elizabeth, is my favorite.  I also wanted to try something new.  First of all I rarely use these shades of blue except for masculine cards.  They are not the first colors I am usually drawn to when I create.  And, I always use black or brown when stamping an image to color.  Always.  Not this time!  I used Colorbox Graphic 45 Decades in Bon Voyage Blue.  And then I colored with copics to match all the designer papers.  I also sponged the edges of all the panels with the same ink.  Behind the image panel is a layer cut with the ODBD Vintage Labels dies.  The long strip on the side is cut partially with one of the Pennant dies to get the pennant shape.  The sentiment is from the Ornate Borders Sentiments set.

Well, thanks for stopping by!
Enjoy your week and I will see you again soon!

It's Time to Look Back at the ODBD September Release!

Good morning!
Today we are taking a look back at the ODBD September releases!
Thanks for joining us today!

For my card today, I used Hand Knit, Stitches and Doily Blessings.  I also used the new ODBD Custom Doily Dies and  ODBD Custom Knitting Basket and Yarn Dies in addition to the new Soulful Stitches Paper Collection!  I distressed all of the edges and sponged ColorBox ink on each panel.  I stamped the doily with that same ink.  I colored the yarn with copics and cut it out with the die.  The sentiment is on an ODBD Custom Vintage Label die cut.  Then I just added a button, and some cute little scissors to complete the card!

Here are the ODBD products I used for this card:

Here is another card that is quick and easy!

For this card I used the Hand Knit set and the coordinating Knitting Basket and Yarn Dies you can see pictured above.  I kept this one clean and simple just embossing the frame with a Spellbinders Square and adding the twine that I 'dyed' with a copic marker to match the yarn in the basket! And that is it!

True Friendship

Good morning!

Here is a quick and easy card I made with the beautiful Doily Blessings set new this month from ODBD!   I stamped it and then embossed the square with a Spellbinders square.  Then I used a stamp-a-ma-jig to help me get the placement of the sentiment.  This sentiment is from a former release called Sentiments Collection 3.  This panel is attached to the base with foam tape.  I added a half pearl to complete the card!  This is for the ODBDSLC213-Make it stitched themed or real or faux stitching.  And also for Word Art Wednesday 150-Anything goes with scripture or encouraging word.

Hope you have a blessed day!  See you again soon!
